12/17/2021
I’m so happy my OSCE is over with… who knows when we’ll get our grades back but I actually really enjoyed interacting with the standardized patients which is something I didn’t get to do at all last year.
I flew back to my parents’ house yesterday and today is the last day before winter break officially begins!

I have a general haze of happy memories, there’s no gift in particular that stands out to me.
What is the best gift you ever gave someone?
Giving gifts for holidays stresses me out because I worry about getting a gift the recipient will really like and actually use and enjoy.
What is your favorite Christmas movie?
I always loved the stop-motion ones from the 1960s. I also like the Charlie Brown movie— the music score is iconic. I also like A Christmas Story, because it’s on TV all the time during the holidays so I know it really well. The familiarity of these movies is comforting, I think.

100 Days of Productivity -12/17/2021 - 4/100
Alrighty so I’m not trying to make it a habit that it will be three days then I post. But it’s just kind of happening because of life craziness. However, today was rather chill (though my mind still feels like it’s racing). I accomplished a lot as I did much needed deep clean of my room and other general organization. Then some more chores and I’m still going. At the moment I’m awaiting school supplies for the next semester.
Everyone and their grandmother sings to the the ends of the earth about Kokuyo products. I guess I’m hopping on the bandwagon- I had the money for it. I knew the name of this brand but the second the notebook came up ( this is where I reveal I’m a weeb I guess) I immediately was like “Oh this is Deku’s notebook?!?” So I of course had to buy four notebooks and a package of loose leaf paper. I’m excited for it but I also decided during this break before the semester. I’m gonna try and sort through my notes, etc- possibly make some mindmaps. But what I’m going for is I want to make a little dictionary of my research and knowledge of disorders.
To conclude another thing that I kind of didn’t plan to do is to take a picture of what I’m drinking at times. But that’s just some plain ass coffee . But I’m finishing the House in Cerulean Sea audiobook soon and I’m a few pages into the Wyrd Sisters. The other book is one of the most acclaimed books about trauma of all time- The Body Keeps the Score. Which I can’t wait to dive into. Stay safe out there fair reader~

The day I decided to join the #100daysofproductivity I thought that at least the first few weeks are going to be awesome! So I waited to start the challenge on the perfect day...the most productive day!
Every day I woke up thinking this is it!I'm gonna do this!...but I didn't! I thought life got in the way...but did it really?!
I mean sure...Chores,responsibilities,my cat teething,family drama,messed up sleep schedule,mental health crisis...all of that happened...but if I'm being honest I have been procrastinating with the idea of having a perfect day, the studygram-standard productive day:
Waking up at 5 A.M, exercising and morning routine, working and studying for 12 hours and somehow magically having this extra energy and time left to socialize and/or do your hobbies as well!
I couldn't do that!...I can't do that...so instead of waiting for this fantasy day,I started today,and it wasn't perfect,but it wasn't bad either.
I studied some korean(I'm a total beginner,Hangul-leve beginner!😅) and watched a short digital painting tutorial and practiced with a reference photo I found online. It didn't take 12 hours...it was about 5 hours at tops...but I showed up today, and I think that's what matters...
So to anyone waiting for the perfect day to come,waiting for the next Monday, or the next month, for the new year to start doing what you've been planning all along I say HOW ABOUT STARTING TODAY INSTEAD?!!🤷🏽‍♀️

Dark Academia self-care tips for the wintertime.
Embrace the beauty of the natural world as we enter into the depths of winter. There’s something wonderfully haunting about the barrenness, the muted saturation, the quiet. This season is like the stillness between the exhale and the inhale. Dwell in that space.
Attempt to get into the habit of waking up early, even if you only manage it on odd occasions. This time of year, the sun might rise later than you. Bask in the morning twilight.
Dress well and fully, even if you do not intend to leave the house.
After you wake up, go for a walk, be it brief of meandering. For a time, don’t listen to music, but rather hone in on the silence, the sound of your footfalls, the winter birds.
If you live near a park or otherwise pleasant natural area with benches, take with you a novel or poetry collection, and linger for a time to read. Remember to wear gloves so that you may turn pages without discomfort.
Open a window periodically throughout the day, even if it’s cold. That brief blast of air will anchor you to the natural world.
Try to complete at least one chapter of reading per day. Tend to your mind just as you tend to your body.
If you wish, compose handwritten letters to those you care for, or fear with whom you may be losing touch. A physical letter holds so much more weight than a text or email. Practice your cursive, make the letter a work of art.
Eat dark chocolate rather than milk chocolate, tea rather than soda, whole bread rather than white.
Keep a handwritten journal of your upcoming tasks, daily aspirations and idle musings. Maintaining a written record of one’s obligations helps to remind oneself of their true scales. Otherwise, they might try to expand and sprout teeth in your mind.
Work hard. This season is stark and unyielding, as are you. You were built for this. Face the storm head on.
As night draws in, play some classical music in the candlelight. Close your eyes, tip your head back, and lean into it. Let the song flow through you in haptic ecstasy.
Before retreating to bed, record some of the positive experiences brought to you throughout the day: from tasks you completed successfully, to poetic thoughts that stuck you, to birds you spotted on your windowsill. Kindle your childlike sense of wonder, for there is so much in this world to wonder at.
Breathe. Always. Feel it.

These past two months have been unimaginable. Good and bad things happen and I feel so unprepared for life I guess. But I am very very grateful to God and everyone around me. I hope whatever you are going through, you are blessed with the support system that you need.
On another note, my sister gifted me my 2022 planner which is hella cute and I can't wait to use it.
