channeling celestial energy
channeling celestial energy is useful for performing cosmic magic and charging objects. channeling energy in the most basic sense involves harnessing energy from an external source to use in spellwork. in this case, you’d be harnessing energy from planets, stars, constellations, comets, nebulae, or a variety of other celestial bodies.
to accomplish this, i would suggest the following:
focus on whatever celestial body you want to harness energy from
imagine a trail of stardust, a string, a beam of light, whatever you want, acting as a tether from yourself to the source of energy you’ve chosen - think of it as a charger with a cord powering the battery of [insert thing here]
after you’ve filled up your battery, you can either store it for later or use it right then - up to you
you can do this wherever you want! if visualization isn't your jam, you could maybe use some imagery or music to inspire you - i like using ambient music or even rain sounds depending on the situation.
good luck! ✧

Hot take but I really do think that some of y’all need to consider how/why/when/how often you’re making fun of straight people for being straight
I do it too, I’m not going to pretend I don’t make jokes about the hets, or the down with cis bus, or whatever
But I recently befriended a cis, straight dude and I have watched him be dismissed, degraded, and unambiguously insulted for the perceived “crime” of being straight — all in queer environments where he is allegedly “completely welcome” and surrounded by “friends”
This guy is not a toxic person! But I have seen him be made to feel so small and like his comfort and safety in those spaces are conditional on his silence and acceptance of being treated like a human dunk zone, and I think that some of y’all have had so much shit from straight/cis people that the second you feel like you’ve got an inch, you want to luxuriate in the perceived catharsis of bullying someone who— actually —doesn’t deserve it
And until he very, very carefully mentioned to me in private that it makes him feel bad, I didn’t even clock that I was involved in doing that, that it had become so instinctive for me to make casual jokes like that, and that— well meaning or otherwise —I had been contributing to an environment that made someone I really really like feel like shit
So, I dunno, I think maybe some of y’all should think about that too

Reposting this so it gets to the right people!!
Edit: Saline beats milk—it is AGAINST the usage of pouring milk into your eyes. It is suggesting that if you do not have access to a saline solution or water somehow, milk is your far LAST resort. It’s not a substitute. Use WATER above all else, it’s incredibly accessible

saw a tiktok of a mother taking her very tiny daughter to an art museum and she’s just walking around going “whoooa” “woooaah” to everything but then they got to a marble statue of a nude woman lying on her back and the girl points and goes “mommy🫵” and i just immediately welled up with tears and all the comments are just laughing about it and of course it’s funny but how are you not insanely moved by the way art connects everyone on earth from a centuries-old sculptor to a toddler in 2023

it’s completely acceptable to stay alive for tiny reasons. because you want to hear your favorite song one more time. because your dog will miss you if you leave. because the moon is just too pretty to never see again. because you haven’t seen the next season of a really good tv show. because you want to see the christmas lights this year. if you’re alive, you’re doing enough. if you’re surviving, i’m proud of you.

Learning Herbs with the Four I’s: Intellect, Instinct, Intuition and Imagination
Tumblr media
Article by Dana O'Driscoll, The Druid's Garden
Anyone who follows a nature-based spiritual path is often interested in the different ways that the land offers food, shelter, medicine, and more.  One of the ways that I’ve deepened my awareness and connection to nature is through the practice of herbalism.  Herbalism is a wonderful practice because it is a path of connection and wisdom surrounding your local ecosystem (at least the way I practice and teach it). But, those newer to herbalism often wonder what the best approach is to learn herbalism: there’s medicine making, body systems, botany, energetics and tissue states, herbal contraindications, holistic health, and so many other areas. A foundation of any herbal practice is wisdom about plants: where and how they grow, when their medicine is most potent, their actions, how they taste, and their energetics.  You can know a great deal about the other areas I listed, but without the basic knowledge of plants—none of the other areas of learning matter as much.  In this post, I’ll offer a comprehensive introduction to getting to know medicinal plants, herbs, and trees using the framework of the Four I’s: Intellect, Instinct, Intuition, and Imagination.
Read the full article on The Druid's Garden and check out Dana's herbalism series and published works!

Kissing someone at exactly midnight sounds like a trap tbh. What kind of Unholy Ritual has to be sealed with a kiss at the precise Nexus Point between Night & Day and the New Year??
Sounds like Fae Trickery. Play it safe at midnight and just eat this pastry I made for you instead.

Hiiii, aspiring cottage witch here! Do you have any book recommendations on that specifically? Or little tips and tricks especially for a neurodivergent witch like me?
Happy Friday the 13th!! Love your posts! 💚💚💚
All three books by @breelandwalker
Hearth & Home Witchcraft and The Comfy Cozy Witch's Guide to Making Magic in Your Everyday Life by Jennie Blonde
Mrs. B's Guide to Household Witchery by Kris Bradley
Land Healing by Dana O'Driscoll.
Wild Witchcraft by Rebecca Beyer
The Witch's Cabinet - Corinne Boyer
I've found that the trick is little things count. There is magic in the everyday and the mundane, you don't have to go out of your way to look for it. Turning housekeeping into witchcraft is a game changer for me as a homemaker. Making daily chores like cooking and cleaning magical is making them a lot easier and more fun. Don't overthink it, and certainly remember to pace. No need to do it all at once and overload yourself, one thing a day can make a difference!

In a normal circumstance, I hate Netflix. However, they struck a deal to produce new episodes of Sesame Street and will ensure that the episodes remain free and accessible on PBS for all kids and for that, they deserve gratitude.
Additionally, unlike the deal previous struck with HBO, this one with Netflix also makes its so new episodes are simultaneously available via Netflix, PBS, and the PBS Kids app.
Please continue to support Sesame Street and all the other PBS programming via donations to ensure everyone, kids and adults alike, continue to have access to educational viewing.
