Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Chapter 4
Chapter 5: Proposition
Learning that there is no war, Shockwave and Soundwave take residence with an over eager Rust Dust who informs them of certain legalities involving their unexpected stay on Cyberonica.
Tumblr media
Soundwave stood in silence for a few clicks, digesting the information as best as he could. He was well acquainted with traveling through a space bridge, but dimensional travel was not something he was expecting to encounter, least not experience himself.
“Decepticons: eradicated?”
“No. One cannot eradicate something that has never existed. Our war has not happened, nor will it. At least, that is what I was informed,” Shockwave turned his helm towards the door, “Rust Dust has informed me that we are currently located in a rural town called Primatonta, which is located near a city called Univiron. It was mentioned that it is the hub of scientific endeavors. If we were to travel there, It could be possible to utilize their advancements to return home. Though It is unknown to me whether or not this planet has adequate enough components to pull off such a feat.”
“Natives: Will let Shockwave into their labs? Use their research and tools?” Soundwave’s body language was incredulous, helm tilted and arms crossing in disbelief. Not being immediately attacked was one thing, but letting two outsiders into their labs and accessing research was an entirely different thing. No bot would be that stupid.
A flash of a Vehicon’s face passed through Soundwave’s processor.
Well…some would but those were few in between.
“I do not have a clear answer, but there is no indication that they would consider us a threat. However, persuasion will be applied as necessary should the situation call for it,” Shockwave turned towards the door, his purple bitarlueus biolights flickering in an ominous pattern. His arm cannon was a staunch reminder of what he had lost long ago, but it also served as a reminder that he was not to be trifled with. Many enemies had been felled by him and many would fall if they should dare get in his way, “come, Soundwave. Let us suggest this idea to our host.”
—-
Rust Dust’s residence…was far messier than what one would think for a fellow bot. Numerous trinkets lay scattered across counters and pictures of unfamiliar faces decorated the walls of each corridor. A plethora of luminescent flora hung around her residence, all in various states of living, if one could call it that. Soundwave could almost picture one poor plant calling out desperately for sustenance as its leaves lay limp and dying. It was shocking how much stuff one could have, though it was possible that he just never had the luxury to own anything besides Lazerbeak. He, however, would hardly call her something he owned, as she was as much a part of him as his own spark.
Shockwave cleared his intake, causing Rust Dust to look up briefly from her display screen. Sounds of gunfire ceased as the screen displayed the word “PAUSE”. She was playing a game that appeared eerily similar to the ones that humans occupied themselves with back on Earth.
“Oh, hey guys. Was that en-...oh. Primus, I’m sorry! I forgot to get that energon for you! Here, one second.” The femme jumped up, rushing around a corridor into a room before rustling through something. No doubt a supply closet as she reappeared with a bright, neon cube. “Here, sorry about that again!” Handing the cube to Soundwave, who tentatively grasped it, she sat back down glancing at them expectantly. “Well…? You guys can take a seat, no need to be so formal!”
There were a few different options; a lengthy cushioned slab, a few metal chairs and a singular cushioned one. Shockwave moved to sit on the slab, his weight shifting the furniture slightly. It was a shock that the furniture even fit a bot like him. Were there others that rivaled his size? Or did the femme simply prefer roomier options? Soundwave remained in place, gaze fixed on the swirling substance he held in his servo. It looked like energon, smelled like it too, but it had a thicker consistency that he remained unsure about as his tentacle emerged to probe at it. Shockwave took it upon himself to speak for the two of them as the other officer occupied himself with the foreign energon.
“After speaking to my companion, we find it best if you were to show us to that science capital you were telling me about earlier. Univiron, was it?” His servo moved to direct attention to the window nearby, attempting to appear casual in the conversation so as to not raise any suspicions, “We make it a point to engage ourselves with fellow scientists. Collaboration is imperative within the field, don’t you agree?”
“Oh yeah, Univiron! I can absolutely show you two around there! I’m sure Lancer and Crosswire would love to hear about your work too. There is a transport system that runs through here every cycle, “ Rust Dust stood from her current lounging position, optics wide with enthusiasm before a realization dawned on her, “but, we’re going to have to visit the actual capital first. I know this might be odd, but we need to get you two registered.”
“We do not intend to stay long term.” Shockwave quickly interjected and Soundwave raised his helm to stare at the femme. Rust Dust held her servos up, sensing the shift in tension.
“Oh no! I didn’t mean for you two to register for permanent residency or anything. When we have newcomers, it’s just standard procedure to get their information and issue them temporary residence if they are staying for more than a solar cycle. It helps the government keep track of resources, spending and who is currently on the planet.”
“Soundwave and Shockwave: will be watched and escorted?” Soundwave’s purple optic bore a hole into the smaller bot. Shockwave had never seen his compatriot’s face before but the striking optic that glowed under the shade of his helm was certainly unnerving. This much was apparent as Rust Dust shifted nervously under the scrutinizing gaze.
“Excuse him. We are just interested in how the council proceeds with situations like this. Will we be treated as guests or as unfavorable characters?” Shockwave quickly diverted attention away as Rust Dust’s ever present smile twitched downwards as her discomfort became palpable.
“Primus no! You won’t be like under surveillance or treated like criminals but you’ll definitely be escorted around. Cyberonica is huge and traveling around can be difficult since you don’t know much about our transportation system. On the bright side there is plenty to do, so think of it more like having a personal chauffeur that will take you to the best spots before you guys leave! You guys are super lucky too. We have some major events coming up!” Rust dust’s upbeat attitude returned, contrasting starkly to the brewing impatience from Shockwave and Soundwave.
“Very well. How long does it take to get to your capital? And once we have an audience with your planet’s officials, will we be granted approval to travel to Univiron?”
“Well…Generatium is five cycles by air transport, so if we leave now we can be there by nightfall. I don’t think you’ll be able to see Univiron for a few days though. Everyone is preparing for the Spark Festival. A lot of our scientists and engineers head to Animatrix to collaborate and make sure the artists are following safety protocols, so there won’t really be any higher ups in the labs.” Shockwave’s antenna twitched, his digits tapping against his tibulen. Patience was a virtue but time was of the essence. This Spark Festival was going to derail his time schedule...
And Primus, ”Spark” festival? What an uncreative name!
“Surely we could engage with those remaining in the lab? Have they not been trained well enough to offer a tour and collaborate? Forgive my impatience, but our trip was meant to be relatively short and we really should be trying to repair our device.”
Trip? Soundwave’s helm tilted slightly. What had Shockwave told the femme about their current circumstance?
“Oh, I think they have, but I’m sure the lead scientists wouldn’t want excess hands in the lab because of safety issues. A lot of the lab personnel left behind are there to make sure that any running experiments are going smoothly and to clean up. You know…basically making sure nothing explodes as Lancer says.”
Soundwave placed a servo on Shockwave’s shoulder plating, signaling for his EM field to retract as the scientist's growing frustration heightened. Exasperated, Shockwave yielded. There would be nothing to gain from threats of violence or impatience. They were not deemed a threat yet, so that is how it should remain until they could find a way home. Any unnecessary actions could prove to be consequential after all.
“That is sound reasoning. Let us travel to Generatium at once then. Soundwave, are you well enough to depart?”
Soundwave silently sipped at the cube through his tentacle, his intake lurching at the odd texture that greeted his fuel lines. His exposed optic shut as he repressed a shudder. He could not taste anything but he was sure that the flavor would be unforgivably nasty.
“Affirmative: Intake levels optimal for short trips.” Shockwave rose, nodding at his fellow officer before turning his attention to Rust Dust who was grabbing a small data pad.
“Perfect. I have my pass right here so we can get going. I’m sure our council members will be able to expedite things including medical care. Those dents and vizor of yours should be easy to fix for our experts!” Rust Dust gave another enthusiastic thumbs up before turning on her heel struts towards the door.
Soundwave’s optic flickered down. To fix his vizor meant for their medical personnel to remove it entirely. He would be exposed. Perhaps he could request the tools and proceed with fixing it himself? Perhaps he could find a way to shield his facial-...
A servo found its way to his shoulder pad. Looking to his side, his gaze met Shockwave’s. A small gesture of comfort. A silent promise.
We will deal with that when the time comes.
—--
The transport station was huge. For as small as Rust Dust described Primatonta to be, the station was a hive of activity. Bots of all sizes rushed to different designations as a femme’s voice announced arrivals and departures. There were large screens that displayed various things above them with one depicting three separate transportation methods; air, water, and land. All with symbols next to them. Prices? It was an educated guess as it was all written in a language that Shockwave was unfamiliar with.
“Soundwave, do any of your databases have information regarding this language?”
“Negative: databases are unable to be accessed at this time. Language: unfamiliar regardless.” Soundwave let a bitter edge seep into his voice. Shockwave had to be aware of the damaged state he was in and yet here he was, being asked nonsensical questions. Though he supposed his irritation was more linked to the vulnerability he felt rather than the scientist being naturally curious.
Shockwave had always been a bright mind that was eager to sponge up any information he could. It was something he had always admired about the mech and it was good to see that he retained that even after all these vorns.
“Alright gentlemechs! I have three tickets for Generatium. We are departing from platform X, and it is leaving in a couple of breems so let's get going!” The femme began bounding towards in a direction that was assumed to be where this platform X was. Shockwave cursed inwardly as he quickened his pace to catch up with the femme, his servo placing itself on Soundwave’s back plate, urging him to follow as best as he could in his current state.
He could only hope that this trip would be over in a timely fashion, but with how many surprises there had been, it was doubtful.

Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3
Chapter 4: Foreign
Found by a native and reunited with his fellow officer, Soundwave discovers a shocking revelation about the planet they have crash landed on.
---
Tumblr media
Soundwave's body jolted back to life, the sudden activation causing him to lurch forward, struggling to find stability on his servos. His right optic shuttered against the blinding light streaming in, the crack in his visor casting jagged shadows across his features. The faint beeping of error readings echoed in his auditory sensors, each chime a reminder of his damaged condition. The impact from the previous explosion had taken its toll; his back plate bore the scars of collision, now marred by dents and fissures, while his back strut ached painfully, bent at an awkward angle. A wave of frustration washed over him as he processed the extensive damage: multiple inoperable internal codes, including critical functions controlling his T-cog, were rendered useless after sustaining a substantial hit to his helm. Frustration bubbled forth as he punched his undamaged servo into the soft ground, his emotion suppressant protocol glitching.
He had warned them repeatedly about the anomaly's dangers, yet here he was, stranded in the aftermath of a catastrophic explosion. A realization jolted through him: Where was lord Megatron? Where was Shockwave?
Raising his helm, Soundwave surveyed his surroundings. The barren, rocky landscape they had arrived on was gone, replaced by a lush expanse of vibrant green. Organic material stretched as far as his optics could see, but it wasn't what Earth would call "grass"; its composition was foreign and unfamiliar. Mountainous hills rose in the distance, dotted with patches of strange, colorful flora that danced in the gentle breeze, creating a mesmerizing display of flickering colors. It felt as though he had been transported back to Earth, but even though the sheer strength of the blast was immense it would have been impossible. His databases struggled to identify this terrain.
Pressing his servo into the soft, yielding ground, he detected faint frequencies of electricity coursing through the planet beneath him. This planet's core was metallic, yet its surface was entirely organic, a paradox that both intrigued and unnerved him.
Soundwave struggled to his pedes, his systems glitching as he attempted to calculate his coordinates, but everything felt sluggish. The hit to his helm had unexpectedly disrupted more functions than he had initially realized, leaving him disoriented and vulnerable. An urgent warning flashed in front of his left optic, a mocking reminder that his fuel tank was nearing empty. He had to locate Megatron and the others quickly; the threat from the Autobots lingered nearby—or so he had assumed—and he would be defenseless if he fell into stasis lock.
Slowly trudging forward, Soundwave began his descent down the hill, his loyal companion Laserbeak clicking softly against his chassis. Sending her out for reconnaissance would be perilous; if his drone were captured, he would be unable to retrieve her. Without her full operational capacity, she would be useless against any threats. Preserving their energy was paramount for now.
After what felt like cycles of wandering, Soundwave realized he was no closer to finding answers. There was no sign of the Autobots, nor any trace of his fellow Decepticons. Primus, where were they? His internal warning systems blared, indicating his fuel gauge continued to drop with every passing moment. Laserbeak had slipped into stasis a cycle ago, and it was becoming increasingly clear that Soundwave would soon follow. Dropping to his knees, he felt his optics flickering, a recharge beckoning him with an alluring promise of rest.
"Just a moment of reprieve," he thought, his heavy frame collapsing onto the soft organic flora. As he surrendered to exhaustion, he barely registered the soft sound of small pedes approaching him.
"He... l... hell... oo... a... ok... ar... e... you... o...?" The fragmented voice punctuated the stillness, barely breaking through the haze of his fading consciousness.
System shutdown... alert. System shutdown. Protective protocol activated. Entering stasis lock.
Warmth was the first sensation to penetrate Soundwave's awareness. It enveloped him in a comforting embrace, reminiscent of being cradled by his carrier. Her melodic voice lulled him into a gentle recharge, like a soothing melody that had long since faded into memory. Wasn't it so long ago?
Suddenly, he lurched forward violently, his tentacles whipping out in a reflexive panic. Crashing sounds filled the air as his appendages collided with nearby objects, and his pedes caught on the frame of the berth, sending him crashing to the floor in a flurry of disorientation. A figure rushed through the doorway, concern etched across her features.
"Oh Primus! Are you okay?! I'm so sorry; I shouldn't have left you alone! Stasis lock is always jarring," the turquoise-framed femme exclaimed, her words tumbling over one another as she hurried to help him regain his balance. She nearly stumbled as she grasped at his form, trying to pull him up.
"Get... off!" Soundwave snarled, swiping his arm at her as she clumsily grasped him in sensitive areas, servos pressed into the warped metal of his backplate. His long arm nearly sent the smaller bot flying, but her surprisingly strong grip held firm.
"Whoa, wait! I know this is scary; please calm down!"
"Get off—"
"CEASE. NOW."
A booming voice cut through the chaos, causing Soundwave to halt his movements mid-swipe.
Shockwave entered the room, towering over the two bots who were tangled on the floor with an air of authority. "I see that you are awake, Sounwave. This pleases me but please, allow your system to recover before you perform any further erratic motions. We are not in danger," he hesitated, his antennae twitching as he carefully selected his words. "We are... guests in this lovely establishment."
Soundwave struggled to comprehend Shockwave's words. Guests? Where in the frag were they?! There was nowhere in the solar system that openly welcomed decepticons like them into their residence.
The femme's grip loosened as he relaxed, persistently guiding him to his pedes. Soundwave stared incredulously at his fellow Decepticon, the confusion building like a storm within him.
"My designation is Rust Dust. I found you while I was out driving. I was trying to figure out how to bring you back here to help you since you were in such rough shape, but then your buddy appeared. Thank Primus too! You are a lot heavier than I anticipated. No offense to you; your frame is super sleek! Unless... you don't want to be sleek? Oh, I shouldn't assume; that was rude." The femme's words tumbled out at a speed that could rival Starscream's indecent blubbering, and Soundwave found himself forced to listen to her incessant chatter.
Shockwave's body language suggested he was struggling to contain his own irritation, his EM field retracting closely to his body to avoid alerting Rust Dust to his suspicion. Not that she would likely notice; her awareness seemed limited at best.
"Rust Dust, I would like a moment with my companion, if you wouldn't mind. He has been through a lot, and I would like to run a systems analysis to ensure that he is well enough to be moving." Shockwave interjected, saving Soundwave from a splitting processor.
"Oh yeah, absolutely! I'll be right out in the main room. I'll fetch some energon for whenever you both are ready." Soundwave's tank lurched at the mention of energon, his glossa instinctively shooting out to lick his dry lips. His fuel systems were starved, and the thought of energon was intoxicating.
"Could he possibly receive some now? You could leave it by the door."
"Absolutely!"
With Rust Dust cheerfully exiting, Soundwave directed his full attention to the mech before him, his field flared with incredulity. With his visor cracked and multiple internal processing systems damaged, Soundwave was forced to address the situation.
"Inquiry: Who was that and where are we?" It was two simple questions. Ones in which he hoped his compatriot could answer.
"That was Rust Dust. I do not know of her affiliation, but I am well aware of her lineage. Her entire lineage," Shockwave replied, a faint air of exasperation in his tone. Soundwave detected that he had likely been in stasis for some time and his fellow officer had endured the prattling femme in his absence, "we currently reside on a planet designated as Cyberonica."
"Information: insufficient. Femme has allowed us into her home. Decepticons: unwelcomed in most quadrants of the galaxy," Soundwave took a step forward, gaze fixing on the window that overlooked the unfamiliar organic scenery outside, "Shockwave: where are we?"
A servo placed itself upon his shoulder pad, guiding him into a sitting position upon the small berth he had woken up from.
"Cyberonica. A planet that resides outside our dimension. We are welcome because Decepticons do not exist here. Our war does not exist here."

Chapter 1 Chapter 2
Chapter 3: Collapse
In a race against time, the Autobots and Decepticons clash over the anomaly on Jupiter's 78th moon. As the conflict escalates, the anomaly begins to destabilize, threatening to unleash a catastrophic supernova that could annihilate them all.
Tumblr media
The dark landscape of Jupiter's 78th moon loomed ominously under the distant gaze of its gas giant parent. The terrain was a patchwork of jagged rocks and deep fissures would have been unremarkable if not for it being illuminated intermittently by the eerie green glow of distant lightning storms. The air was thick with static energy, crackling with an unsettling hum as the space bridge activated, casting a swirling, pulsating light across the barren ground.
As the portal stabilized, the first figures emerged. The first platoon of Vehicons took up strategic positions, blasters at the ready, their optics scanning the area for threats. Behind them, Shockwave stood with an air of cold precision, his single optic reflecting the distant, swirling clouds of Jupiter's massive surface.
"We will secure the anomaly and bring its power to the Decepticon cause," Shockwave declared, his words rousing the grunts around him, gaze fixed on the scanner's readings, "scanners suggest it lies just up ahead. Let us proceed."
Starscream hovered just behind Shockwave, his wings twitching with anticipation. He scoffed quietly, his thoughts already whirling with schemes to exploit the situation for his own benefit. "Just remember, Shockwave, power is only as useful as the one who wields it."
Shockwave's helm remained steadfastly forward, barely acknowledging Starscream's taunt. "Indeed, Starscream. Let us hope you are up to the task."
As the Decepticons advanced, the very ground beneath them seemed to hum with an unnatural energy. The air grew denser, crackling with the raw power emanating from the anomaly. The atmosphere trembled, and the static charge seemed to cling to their frames. The anomaly itself was a swirling vortex of energy, its core pulsating with an otherworldly light that defied the laws of physics. Its sheer presence distorted the space around it, creating ripples in the fabric of reality.
Shockwave's optic widened with scientific curiosity. "Remarkable. The energy output is far beyond our previous encounters. This vortex appears to be a space-time anomaly—its energy is fluctuating in a manner consistent with theoretical supernova activity."
Soundwave's visor flickered as he interfaced with his equipment, analyzing the vortex's properties. "Energy levels: rising exponentially. Potential for instability: dangerously high."
As Shockwave and his team continued their approach, the anomaly's intense gravitational pull seemed to draw them in, distorting their surroundings. The energy from the vortex began to warp the very landscape, causing the ground to crack and shift unpredictably.
The roar of engines alerted them to a secondary presence; Optimus Prime and his team arrived on the scene. The Autobots' brightly colored silhouettes were stark against the backdrop of the swirling vortex. "Decepticons, retreat now, or face the consequences!" Optimus's voice boomed across the desolate landscape, firm and authoritative. "We do not know the full extent of this anomaly's power. Engaging it could be catastrophic for everyone involved!"
Megatron's response was immediate and defiant. "This power belongs to the Decepticons, Prime. You will not stand in our way!" His arm cannon roared to life, energy crackling as he aimed it directly at Optimus, his optics blazing with the familiar intensity of conflict.
The battlefield erupted into chaos. Blaster fire lit up the dark landscape as Autobots and Decepticons clashed in a fierce exchange of fire. The crackle of energy weapons and the clang of metal on metal created a cacophony of war. Amidst the battle, Shockwave's focus remained unwavering as he continued to monitor the vortex, taking refuge behind a nearby rock structure in order to proceed with his endeavor uninterrupted by blaster fire. His scanners were bombarded with erratic data and piercing alerts, indicating that the anomaly's stability was rapidly deteriorating.
"Soundwave!" Shockwave's voice cut through the din, urgent and commanding. "We must deploy a countermeasure to stabilize the energy field immediately! The rise in gunfire is disrupting the vortex's internal equilibrium. If it collapses, the resulting supernova could annihilate everything in this vicinity!"
Soundwave's tentacles extended, interfacing with the anomaly's data streams through the energy console Shockwave had hastily configured. "Initiating stabilization protocol," Soundwave responded, "deploying counter-frequency modulation to counteract the vortex's destabilization."
The Decepticons' fighting forces began to retreat as the vortex's energy surged unpredictably. The unstable energy field caused the ground to quake violently, and the air crackled with destructive power. In a rare moment of unity born from mutual survival instinct, both factions halted their combat. Vehicons fell back, their optics flickering with uncertainty as the vortex's intense energy fluctuations began to distort their sensory inputs. Breakdown hastily snagged Knockout's servo, pulling him further from the vortex of certain death and Starscream, ever the brave bot, transformed into his alt mode in order to make a quick retreat attempting to leave his brethren behind to face the consequences. Though he wasn't quite fast enough as the tip of his wing was grabbed and dented by an infuriated Megatron.
"Autobots, fall back!" Optimus Prime commanded, his voice cutting through the chaos. The Autobots withdrew, moving strategically away from the growing instability of the vortex.
As the last of the combatants retreated, the vortex's energy field began to stabilize, the violent tremors gradually subsiding. However, the reprieve was short-lived. Without warning, the vortex collapsed inward, compressing into a swirling maelstrom of colors before violently erupting outward. The explosion sent a heavy pulse of energy that engulfed Shockwave and Soundwave.
Soundwave could only feel the crushing pressure of Shockwave's servo gripping his shoulder as the world around him dissolved into a whirl of colors and chaos. The sensation was overwhelming—a cacophony of light and sound that swiftly consumed his consciousness. His own scream pierced the air as his systems were hit with the brunt of the electrical storm's fury. As the vortex's explosive energy reached its peak, everything went black.

Chapter 1
Chapter 2: Race
As both factions are alerted to the anomaly's presence, the race between the Autobots and Decepticons to secure immeasurable power begins...
Tumblr media
Optimus Prime stood at the helm of the command center, his imposing figure framed by the myriad of control panels and holographic displays that flickered with the latest data. His blue optics were now focused intently on a scanner showing a troubling anomaly detected on one of Jupiter’s moons. The prime couldn’t mask the unease subtly emanating from his EM field.
“Ratchet, what can you tell me about this anomaly?”
Ratchet peered closely at the data streams. His optical ridge furrowing as he sifted through the complex energy readings. “Optimus, this is unlike anything we've encountered before. The energy levels are off the charts—literally. Our scanner’s parameters can’t get an accurate reading. This anomaly is emitting a type of energy that doesn’t match any known signature that we have come across.”
Arcee stepped forward, optics narrowing as she examined the erratic patterns displayed on the screen. “If the Decepticons get their hands on this, they could harness this power for anything. We’ve seen what they’re capable of. This could spell disaster, especially since Megatron has been mobilizing more frequently.”
Optimus’s expression hardened. Megatron had been growing increasingly unstable, and the thought of him wielding such a powerful force was deeply troubling. “Then we must act swiftly. We cannot afford to let Megatron gain control of this anomaly. Bumblebee, Bulkhead, prepare for immediate departure. We need to secure the area and prevent any Decepticon interference.”
Bumblebee shifted uncomfortably. His sensors picked up on the tense atmosphere, and the unusual gravity of the situation was not lost on him. “You got it, Optimus,” he beeped, servos shifting into a double thumbs up position though his vocalizer betrayed him with a hint of anxiety. His spark thrummed with apprehension as he glanced at Bulkhead.
Bulkhead gave Bumblebee a firm pat on the back. “Hey, don’t sweat it, B. We’ve been through worse. We’ll go in, deal with the Decepticons, and be back to pick the kids up from school before you know it. Miko has that new racing game, remember?” Despite his encouraging words, Bulkhead’s own internal sensors were alert, registering the potential danger of this mission. He couldn’t let his younger compatriot get stressed. After all, this was just going to be like any other mission, right?
Arcee’s gaze was resolute as moved past them to collect her gear. “Let’s move, team. We don’t have the luxury of time. Every moment we delay increases the risk of Megatron getting his hands on that anomaly.”
As the Autobots began their preparations, the tension in the command center was palpable. Optimus watched them with a mix of pride and concern, knowing that each member of his team faced not just the physical dangers of their mission but also the psychological weight of the uncertainty ahead. What was this energy? Why did he have such a foreboding feeling in his chassis?
---
In the dark recesses of the nemesis, Megatron loomed over a central console. His massive form cast a long shadow across the room, the purple glow of his optics cutting through the dim light. His lips curled upwards as he scrutinized the anomaly’s readings. Shockwave’s recent discovery had ignited a dangerous glimmer of hope within him—a hope that he was not about to let slip away.
“Soundwave,” Megatron’s voice reverberating with barely contained excitement, “assemble a team for immediate deployment. We cannot afford to let the Autobots interfere with this opportunity.”
Soundwave responded with a subtle nod, his visor flickering as he input commands into the system, signaling for the closest Vehicons to assemble at the bridge. Shockwave’s singular optic reflecting the harsh light of the console, stood behind him, analyzing the data. “The energy yield could be monumental. If we harness this correctly, it could tip the scales decisively in our favor.”
Soundwave’s visor blinked with confirmation. “Autobot activity: detected. They are closing in.”
“Then we must act quickly,” Megatron’s tone turned steely, laced with a dangerous edge. “Prepare the ground bridge and mobilize our forces. We must secure the anomaly before they can interfere.”
A tense silence settled over the Decepticon ranks as Megatron exited, heavy footsteps echoing through the corridors. Starscream, leaning against the wall with a disdainful smirk, watching the proceedings with a mix of curiosity and impatience. Soundwave’s brief, almost imperceptible glance in Starscream’s direction was a silent warning: the stakes were high, and internal dissent was the last thing they needed.
Starscream’s optics glinted with barely contained ambition. He knew that if anyone was going to seize this opportunity for himself, it would be him. With a final, disdainful flick of his wings, he stalked off, his mind already calculating how he might turn the situation to his advantage.
“So, Shockwave,” Breakdown began, hesitantly stepping forward once Megatron’s form disappeared fully, “what exactly is this thing? It seems dangerous does it not? Not that it matters, but…some of the bots have been asking about it.”
The soldier’s words hung heavy, finally addressing the concern that many aboard the ship had. It was true. This event could very well be dangerous.
“Every tactical advantage could pose a threat, Breakdown. Every mission you have been deployed on thus far has had an air of uncertainty regarding your safety. Now, If you have further concerns, perhaps you should address it with Lord Megatron.”
Breakdown raised his servos, relenting as the scientist refused to elaborate further. He was not about to take that up with their glorious leader, not after he crushed a group of Vehicons for daring to speak out against their new objective. All of them were practically replaceable…even Breakdown himself. Turning on his heel struts, the soldier exited the room as the communications officer followed closely behind.
Shockwave remained behind, his solitary optic focused on the console as he continued to analyze the anomaly’s potential. “We must be meticulous,” he muttered to himself. “One miscalculation could be catastrophic.”
As the Decepticons prepared for their push, the air crackled with a palpable sense of impending conflict. The race to secure power had now begun.

On the brink of a major Decepticon offensive, Shockwave's relentless pursuit of scientific advancement uncovers a startling anomaly within the fabric of space-time. This anomaly promises immense power, capable of tipping the balance in the Decepticons' favor. However, the situation takes a dramatic turn when the anomaly destabilizes, creating a violent rift in space-time. Shockwave and Soundwave are abruptly pulled through the portal, leaving their dimension behind and crash landing on an unfamiliar techno-organic planet, one unravaged by the cybertronian war. Disoriented and stranded, the two Decepticons face a monumental decision: should they strive to return to their own dimension and continue their war, or adapt to this new world where peace prevails?
While Soundwave remains steadfast in returning back to their dimension, Shockwave becomes increasingly captivated by the tranquility and potential for a different existence. As they grapple with their new reality, Shockwave and Soundwave must confront their deepest convictions. Will they remain loyal to their origins and the cause they have fought for, or will they embrace the chance to forge a new path together in a world untouched by war?

Chapter 1: Discovery
Pain blossomed forth as his optic flickered back to life, systems slowly rebooting after a forcible stasis lock. Every wire felt as though it was on fire and his left servo was heavy and foreign. What have they done? What have they done to him?
“Senator, for your crimes against…you have been…”
Voices echoed around him, crackling and popping into a cacophony of unintelligible sounds.
“Senator…you shall here by…”
“Senator.”

Shockwave awoke from his recharge, jarring straight up from his berth. His optic flickering back and forth, scanning his surroundings. The cold, sterile corridors of his lab remained unchanged since yesterday. A stark difference to the brewing chaos outside from noisy vehicons preparing for another launched attack against the autobots. Slowly rising from his berth, the mech’s optic fixated on the console. It was alerting obnoxiously, no doubt what had awoken him from his recharge in the first place. The holographic projection that was once devoid of anything interesting now displayed unfamiliar spatial data.
“Fascinating.” He muttered, servo reaching out to adjust the parameters to enhance the anomaly on his console. It was unlike anything he had previously seen, a powerful source of pure energy that could potentially shift the balance in the Decepticons favor however its nature was undeterminable, hidden behind layers of quantum complexity.
Methodical footsteps echoed outside his lab, drawing closer. When the door opened, shockwave didn’t bother turning around to greet the uninvited guest. The rhythmic pace belonged to only one mech aboard the nemesis.
“Soundwave,” shockwave acknowledged, “I assume you have come to discuss the manner of my finding.” The communications officer stood silently before his visor flickered to life, a small visual of the anomaly appeared. Ah yes, diligent as ever. No doubt that soundwave was monitoring every internal system aboard the nemesis and had hacked into Shockwave’s lab during the night. As intrusive as that was, the scientist couldn’t blame the other officer for scanning every inch of incoming data. Between Starscream’s treacherous behavior, Arachnid’s ever looming threat, and Breakdown’s questioning of loyalties, it was necessary to keep a permanent eye on those aboard the ship. Shockwave had been gone for vorns and loyalties can certainly change. Maybe he thought that Shockwave had kept a long standing grudge against the decepticons for leaving him behind, labeling him as killed in action after the portal he entered exploded. However, grudges were silly, illogical things to hold…unless it was against a certain noisy seeker, but Starscream could always be dealt with at a later time.
“Autobots; intercepted transmission. Currently planning on deploying an investigative team.” A mishmash of stolen voice clips spoke. Soundwave never did use his voice anymore. Perhaps an injury sustained through war?
Shockwave’ antennas flickered with growing interest. “Their inference could complicate matters,” he remarked, “however, this confirms that the anomaly is significant. Inform Megatron of the urgency in dispatching a ground team.”
Soundwave remained still, visor displaying a series of complex waveforms and energy readings. “Risk; substantial. Unknown energy readings could pose a hazard.”
There was something of an air of caution in soundwave's inflection. His EM field pulsed faintly before retracting, a hint of concern radiated through Shockwave’s own field.
“Every discovery carries risk, Soundwave. But the rewards could be beyond measure, and should it fall to the autobots, it could spell the end for our cause.” There was a moment of silence as the two Decepticon’s locked gazes, a tension slowly bubbling before Soundwave abruptly turned on his pedes, calmly walking towards the door he had entered from.
“Megatron; will be informed of the anomaly and urged to take action.” Shockwave’s own voice combined with clips of others replied back.
As Shockwave returned to his calculations, Soundwave began running his own analytics. There was something that deeply troubled him. Why had this anomaly suddenly appeared? Something of this scale of power couldn’t have possibly emerged overnight. Any calculations he ran were coming back inconclusive. Could this truly be something that could shift the war? Or would this be a death sentence for both sides?

The anime gave us an extended bit of Sanji vs. King and Queen, and it’s some of the coolest animation in the entire series. (episode is 1045)
