After (book series)
(Spoilers!!)
credit to owner:

There is a lot of issues that needs to be addressed with this series. Don’t get me wrong I loved these books when I was reading it but it was honestly very problematic. It romanticizes a lot of problems a person has such as:
A toxic relationship
Addiction
Substance abuse
Mental health
Trauma
Divorce
Crimes
Miscarriage
Overdose
Cheating
and a lot more
I understand that it is apart of the plot to let the readers know that this is a “Bad boy x Good girl” relationship but it shouldn’t be romanticized the way it was. If it was needed to be in the story then, I believe, should’ve brought more awareness and help. Tessa and Hardin’s relationship was very unhealthy and effected the people around them negatively. I feel like they confused lust for love. This series was just wrong in so many levels because it was confuse the readers for what actually is a good relationship and what is not, which was Hardin and Tessa. Although it worked out in the end and they all got their shit together, the way the story was executed was incorrect. These triggering things are stuff real life people had to endure and to be romanticized in a love story and it is just wrong. I just believe there is a lot of better written stories on Wattpad that could’ve been published and turned into a movie. “After” is just problematic.

After (movie)
credit to owners:
As someone who was excited to watch this movie, I bought the books and decided it was my mission to finish the book series. So yes I have read all five books and know the entire story, which I will make another post about it later. I watched this movie twice, once in theaters with friends and on Netflix. I was really excited for this movie to come out because I have read thousands of books on Wattpad and love Harry Styles. I was curious on how the movie will play out. But to say the least, I was disappointed. There was so many crucial detail from the book that should’ve been in the movie and some parts of the movie that wasn’t in the book. Plus, there was so many pauses between dialogue that makes it awkward to watch. The acting was low-key trash. Maybe I had too much high expectations with this movie but it just wasn’t what I expected. On the positive side, the soundtrack was really good. They were cuter in the movie as a couple than it was in the books though.
After Author: Anna Todd Director: Jenny Gage Starring: Josephine Langford; Hero Fiennes Tiffin; Selma Blair; Samuel Larsen; Inna Sarkis; Pia Mia; Shane Paul Mcie

Little Women
credit to owners:
“Little Women” is a beautifully directed movie about relationships between sisters and wanting to achieve their dreams. It sets in the 1860s where young women were still looked down upon. “Little Women” is one of the few movies where I really paid attention to the directing. Throughout watching this movie you will see changes in the color of the scenes. The warmer colors was more focused on the past and the cooler colors representing the present. The two schemes switches throughout the movie making watchers really pay attention to the story. “Little Women” was originally a book written by Louisa May Alcott in 1868 and also had another movie adaptation starring Winona Ryder, which I neither read or watched. With the natural acting and representation of the time makes the watchers feel the emotions they were showing. There was also a lot of slight symbolism that will make you go “wow”. This movie really showed attention to detail. Truly an amazing movie.
Little Women Director: Greta Gerwig Starring: Saoirse Ronan; Emma Watson; Florence Pugh; Eliza Scanlen; Timothée Chalamet; Laura Dern; Meryl Streep

Love, Rosie
credit to owners:

“Love, Rosie” is hands down one of my favorite movies of all time. It shows star-crossed lovers; from teenagers to young adults. The characters are so well portrayed with so much personality that you will grow to love them. Unlike other movies, “Love, Rosie” doesn’t make you cringe or feel awkward while watching. But instead it makes you feel like you are apart of their journey. The cast of this movie is filled with talented and beautiful actors/ actress that make this movie the way it is. The entire movie, you will notice a slight pink tint which represent the main character, Rosie, with the rosie hue. Originally, “Love, Rosie” was a novel called “When Rainbows End” by Cecelia Ahern. The structure of this book is written in the form of letters, emails and messages. So just to think that “Love, Rosie” was adapted by only messages make this movie more appreciated. Absolutely phenomenal.
Love, Rosie Director: Christian Ditter Screenplay: Juliette Towhidi Starring: Lily Collins; Sam Claffin; Suki Waterhouse; Christian Cooke; Jaime Winstone
