Just Something On My Mind.
They say if you want to be happy, then just be happy. Well, there's an algorithm to it. There are questions that need to be answered and decisions to be made. Obtaining happiness means making the right decisions that will put you in a better place. Some people are happy 24/7, 365 days per year doing whatever, and that's because they may have a more stable chemical balance. Maybe they're getting more Dopamine and Seratonin than you are. Not everyone is built the same, and that's okay. See, for me, I'm a happy person because I've made decisions for myself and I've continued to move forward. Laziness is counter-productive to your own growth. Don't wait for tomorrow, start building today. I trust my instincts. I don't waste my time doing things I don't love, but I'm also not afraid to waste my time in order to find something new that I love to do.
First and foremost, strengthen your mind/body/soul, leave that cocoon that you're in once you are strong enough to do so, don't be afraid to become vulnerable, and love.  Most importantly, count your blessings and be true to yourself.
Love.

It's been awhile since I posted something on here, but...
I would love to produce a hidden camera show where celebrities casually go on dates with non celebrities as they attempt to turn their dates off to the point where they just walk out and leave. Think "Boiling Points" meets every dating show ever to air on MTV, except that there aren't any contestants or rounds. 1 date to see how far it would take for a person to take his or her things and walk out of the Nobu. I'm slightly curious to see how many people would date Gerard Butler if he had Kanye-Disick syndrome or Miranda Kerr with Snooki-Cyrus syndrome, AND which of the two sexes would be able to endure the most disastrous dates.

In what direction is our country headed? Do we have such small attention spans that 6 second Vine videos all we can fit into our tiny brains? Apparently the “new normal” consists of shaking our asses for the camera, spending money we don’t have left and right, going to strip clubs, and getting as much plastic surgery as possible to look like Kim Kardashian. There’s even a show on E! called “Botched” which helps people fix their screwed up plastic surgeries they’ve had done in the past. It’s not just twerking that is driving our society into the toilet, it was way before Miley Cyrus decided to dump her good girl wholesome Disney ways. We think that Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy” is a good song and that she has so much talent. However, it’s been proven recently that the media is actually trying to brainwash you. They’ve been doing it for years, but it’s the hours we spend in front of our television and computer screens that has killed so much of our brain cells that we have forgotten how to think for ourselves.  We talk/write in less than 140 characters on Twitter, talk about the lives we pretend we have on Facebook, and put up meaningless quotes and pictures of places through a “filter” on Instagram because living real life is just too damn hard.  There are millions of talented artists out there trying to burst onto the scene, but perhaps they’ll never make it. For example, a singer-songwriter who spends hours upon hours a day writing meaningful lyrics who promotes themselves online will not get signed whereas a girl who twerks in a video of a cover song on YouTube will get much more notoriety and possibly a record deal.  We need to be careful who we look up to and aspire to be.  Are we looking up to brainless idiots or intelligent, compassionate individuals? Maybe it’s too late to save all of America, but at least we can save ourselves; one smart person at a time.

This song was made by Derek Bahos (singer/guitarist) & Joseph Grey (rapper). It is about letting go of the past and moving forward in life. Enjoy!
