Think about it, they all grew up on an island more or less built on trash, I feel like that could go one of two ways

1. The VK’s all have crazy good immune systems because of all the shit they were exposed to at an early age

2. Their immune systems are weak as fuck and what would be a cold for an Auradon kid is start writing your will for an Isle kid because growing up on an island covered in garbage exposes you to so many diseases

I'm playing Jane in Descendants the Musical, so here are some Descendants characters as things I've heard recently

y’all are literally the cutest

at first y’all weren’t public so people thought it was only carlos and jane in the relationship

audrey was actually the first to find out after jane had forgotten that she was coming over, and audrey ends up walking in on y’all pampering each other

she was NOT happy. she immediately thought that carlos had put some sort of spell on the two of you (in the case you’re not a VK), or that both you and carlos had manipulated jane (in the case that you are a VK)

y’all had to have a sit down with her on how your relationship works, even though you didn’t need to share the information

even after that she was still a bit judgmental but accepted it because she knew y’all were happy

(she immediately ran to ben and told him abt y’all)

carlos lives for you and jane kissing both his cheeks at the same time

he loves being squashed in between the both of you during cuddles but also loves being the big spoon

if you’re a VK, you have known carlos for most of your life, having met him on the isle. in this case jane at first felt like she was intruding on your friendship when she started hanging out with you until you invited her into your relationship

if you’re not a VK, you and jane were friends for a long time before carlos got to auradon. while the both of you were gossiping once you both confessed that you have a crush on carlos, after that you both decided you also have romantic feelings for her

the relationship took a bit of getting used to, seeing as none of you had been in one before.

but after a while you all got much more comfortable with each other and were more affectionate

you all comfort each other sooo much since all three of you are fairly emotional, especially when carlos tells stories from the isle

in the situation that you’re a VK, jane helps you and carlos with that “goodness 101” class, even if you all find it pretty boring

so basically y’all are literally the cutest couple in auradon, literally everyone agrees

even audrey thinks so 🥰

If I had a nickel for every time an AK stole a powerful magical artifact belonging to their parent or their parents' villain and got off with next to no consequences I'd have three nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened thrice.

How about a Descendants AU where instead of VKs being brought to Auradon, Ben, Audrey, Chad, Lonnie, Jane, and maybe a few other AKs are forced to stay on Isle of the Lost for a month (under secret protection and surveillance of course) after their parents believe “they have it too easy” and are “ungrateful for everything their parents had sacrificed and worked for”. Under a disguise, they must learn how blend in and survive, all while avoiding the two most powerful rival gangs, the Core Four and the Sea Three.

The AKs find it uncannily comfortable on the Isle as the month starts. 

Audrey, with the help of the Evil Queen’s daughter, slowly learns that beauty isn’t skin deep and can be found in even the cruelest and darkest of places (and even exchange a few beauty tips). 

Chad befriends the only person on the Isle who hadn’t robbed him blind or threatened to hurt him yet. An adorable little girl, Drizella’s daughter to be specific. At first, he uses her to get around on the Isle, and manipulates her into doing his bidding but he slowly begins changes for the better as he sees the similarities between her and his mother before she had her happy ever after come true. 

An arrogant Lonnie challenges Gaston’s son into a duel, being the captain of R.O.A.R back home, only to lose miserably. She then secretly watches the Sea Three and the rest of the crew spar (“he had to cheat, my mom’s Mulan!”) until he invites her to spar with them, learning a few more techniques that she’d never learn back home, especially dual wielding. 

Jane, more depressed than ever that she can’t even secretly use magic against her mother’s will anymore, somehow befriends the sneaky daughter of Dr. Facilier, and she introduces Jane to her own version of magic, sleight of hand magic that is. She even teaches Jane how to pick-pocket, and she loves the thrill of it all. Jane never had the chance to take risks, and she had never felt so alive when she had stole Jafar’s son beanie right off of him. 

Ben, in the meanwhile, enjoys the laid back, carefree lifestyle (once he’s fully adjusted, it takes him the longest, Audrey being the second longest) and somehow manages to “ally” with both gangs after he stops a fight between the daughter of Maleficent against the daughter of Ursula, the leaders. With his help, they both realize that deep down they have the same goal: to make their mothers proud for once. He notices just how awful both of the girls and the rest of the Isle has it (no thanks to his father) and secretly vows to the others to release them from this prison once the month is over or he’d stay on the Isle too until they were guaranteed their freedom as well.

Cue other AKs like Doug, Jordan, and Ally who sneak on the Isle to kidnap Ben to bring him back and everyone else is PISSED.

The VKs team up to try and find a way off the Isle while holding the rest of the AKs hostage once their true identities come to light and Ben has to go back for his friends.

Why does Red from Descendants look like Mevie’s daughter😩👀👀 now I need a fic where Red is Mal & Evie’s daughter from the future who travels back in time to prevent something bad from happening to Evie but she travels too far back and lands in the timeline where Mal is still with Ben and hasn’t confronted her feelings for Evie while Evie pines for Mal. Red then has to team who with Mal and Uma (who becomes one of E’s best friends because she helps her deal with her feelings for Mal) to prevent Evie from being in danger by the new Evie in the future while also helping Mal realize her feelings for Evie. Ugh I wish I was a decent writer so I can write this fic😭😭

pie dough woes

"It's not even good yet!" Jane cries. "Stop stealing all the pastry, there's going to be none left for the filling! You're going to become a raw pie if you keep it up!" 

"You're a raw pie." Jay manages, yanking his hand back out of Jane’s rolling pin range with a handful of dough scraps that he doesn’t deserve. There’s not even cinnamon on them yet, and if he’d just wait, and stop ruining all her plans they’d be twice as nice with the cinnamon and butter mixture she’s got planned for them. 

"You're a delicious baked pie,” Carlos says earnestly, turning his huge and terrible begging eyes up at Jane. "You're perfect and hot and a harbinger of good things into all of our lives." 

Much like a pie (baked), Jane is not going to melt under this pressure. Her butter has already solidified through the transformative cooking process, and she's got nothing left in her to be melted, even by sweet boyfriends with swoon-worthy puppy dog eyes. 

She props her elbows up on the countertop, careful of the flour bowl she's got out by her left elbow to dust the minipie dough with as she works. 

"You're very sweet, but if you eat any more of my pastry," Jane threatens. "I'm going to need to kick you out of the kitchen. And I'll feel bad about it, and then you'll be directly responsible for making me feel bad, and that's not what good boyfriends do." 

"Lucky 'or 'ou--" Jay tries. 

Jane dips her fingers into the flour bowl. If they're going to be menaces in her kitchen, there are consequences that all boys must face. "Choose your next words carefully." 

Jay wisely chooses to swallow the mouthful of raw dough he's stolen from her minipie preparations before trying again. "I said, lucky for you, we're evil--"

Jane launches her handful of flour at him. 

"Hey!" 

Their kitchen gets morning and afternoon sun because the boys insisted on picking the kitchen with the high, wide windows. It means they need to keep the fans running even in the winter if Jane's doing anything finicky with cold pastry dough, but the sight of her isle boys drinking in the sunlight that spills from the windows most of the day is well worth it. The afternoon sun they've got right now is highlighting the flour stuck to Jay's shirt, his hair, his eyelashes. 

"Oops." Jane says sweetly. "I didn't see you there." 

"Beh." Jay spits. There's sort of a lot of flour in his mouth. Oops.She should probably feel worse about that. "Peh. Ew." 

"I didn't mean for you to swallow it!" Jane cries, but oh, she can't help but laugh too. "I was just-- oh, there's so much in your hair, oh goodness." 

"Janey." 

"Yes!" Jane squeaks. She's doing a poor job at containing her giggles. Jay's eyes look so bright and pretty, even covered in flour. Jane's never looked so pretty before, not even when she's dressed to the nines and cleaned up and not covered in flour and buttery fingerprints from where they'd had a slight incident with part of the cinnamon sugar filling before. 

"You really want us to stop?" 

Oh. 

"I mean, I wanted to make a nice dessert, and it's not-- I like having you here in the kitchen with me, but it's hard to finish the pies when you keep eating all my ingredients, and I had a tray for snails all buttered already, and--" Jane forces herself to slow down, take a breath. There's no reason for her to be anxious about baking. "Don't go away, but please stop eating all my ingredients. They'll taste a lot better once they're baked, and I really do want you to try the pies once they're done." 

Jay smiles at her, flour and all, and Jane can feel the tense muscles all along her back relaxing without anything more than the small reassurance. “Okay. We can stop." 

"Thank you." 

“But you should teach us to make this dough sometime. It’s too good to keep it to yourself.” 

“You don’t—“ Jane laughs, because she can’t stop herself. “You don’t even like baking!” 

Carlos drapes himself over her side, careful and warm and comfortable even though he’s made of bones and dried spaghetti noodles. “Because we don’t know how. It’s not like we had the chance to learn as kids.” 

“I’m not a very good teacher,” Jane warns. “I’m impatient. And you’re too smart for your own good.” 

Carlos leans harder. “You taught me how to straighten my hair properly. That took a lot of patience.” 

“Pastry isn’t quite the same thing as hair, babe. There’s a lot more butter in pastry, if you’re doing it right.” 

“I’ll try putting butter in my hair if you’ll teach us how to make pie,” Jay offers, “you know you want to try butter conditioning. I’ll text Evie about it.” 

“No!” 

“Too late, I’m doing it!” Jay says cheerfully. “Butter—conditioner—thoughts? And send.”
