What an honour to have my fic mentioned by our lovely librarians!
Thank you @gaiaseyes451 for the tag!
May I add two of my favourite season 3 fics that haven't been mentioned?
The Beginning Of The End (Again) by AddledMongoose, rated M, 78k.
“Are you really going to stand by and watch the whole world burn because you had a fight with your boyfriend?” Crowley spends months drowning his sorrows after Aziraphale accepts the Supreme Archangel position, until a group of demons shows up one day and tells him the Second Coming is nearly upon them, and they want him to stop it. Turns out being a demon isn't much fun if there are no humans left to tempt. Aziraphale has spent these last months in Heaven looking for ways to stop the Second Coming while mourning the way he and Crowley left things. After discovering that Hell's minions have been tasked by the Metatron to escort the son of God on a tour of Earth in preparation for his Second Coming, he hurries down to see what's going on, fearing the worst. Instead he discovers Crowley escorting the Messiah around Earth. Is his demon taking the son of God on dates?
And the fantastic Is There A Version? by LookingAtACupOfTea, rated M, 41k.
Aziraphale has been giving the performance of his life for the past five months, averting the Second Coming while searching for a chink in the armour of heaven. It's hard when his heart is walking (sauntering) around below and his brain is betraying him with visions of a different life. Crowley is playing his own dangerous game while navigating unsettling emotions. Enter several old and new friends, two important texts, the art of prestidigitation, revelations about the way Her universe operates, and the inescapable tyranny of Christmas music. Can humans, demons, and angels work together to save the world and take control of their own fates when reality seems to be fracturing around them? This is a full post-s2 fic packed with plot and feelings. The vibes are closer to s1 while the plot features a mystery that builds on the discontinuities in s2. Heavy on dialogue, light on angst, with a ton of media references. This fic is pro Aziraphale and pro Crowley. Rated Mature for one chapter with non-explicit sex; other chapters are written Teen and Up.
Hi! Is there any longfics that have lots of plot but also a Crowley/ Aziraphale happy ending? I’m kind of looking for a substitute for Season 3 right now to be honest🙃
Hey! We have #good omens s3 speculation and #long fic tags, so jump in for loads of fics! Here are more to add to both tags...
Good Outcomes by Thimster (T)
Unsurprisingly, Aziraphale runs into problems in his new job: the Second Coming will be a massacre, and only Crowley can help him prevent it. But Crowley has his own reasons, and his own issues: Hell gives him an ultimatum, and he must choose. But it seems neither angels nor demons can make choices very well. And stopping the Second Coming will have major consequences for everyone.
What If I'm Happier Now by guessimdemoms (G)
After Aziraphale stepped on that elevator and chose Heaven, Crowley wallowed in a haze of alcohol and sleep and somehow found his way to America where he got a teaching job. Turns out he's good at it, and the kids adore him, so he decides to see it out until the end figuring he never has to return to London. But then his after school club has a chance to compete in a contest in London, and soon he finds himself heading back to the place that brought him so much pain. He figures he'll be safe since Aziraphale is still in Heaven, but there are surprises in store as soon as he steps foot back on English soil.
i will make it better, if only for us by davethefish (T)
With Aziraphale in Heaven, everything that Crowley loved has left the earth. He doesn't know what to do, so he starts small. Maybe someday he'll love the earth as much as he loved Aziraphale. It's time for him to remember why he chose to stay in the first place.
Among the Stacks by MeinirRhos (NR)
Nearly a year after Aziraphale returns to Heaven, he vanishes from existence, leaving Crowley bereft on Earth. Just when the demon has finally started to heal and move on with his life, he finds his angel by chance in a library. But Aziraphale has no memory of his life as an angel, or of Crowley. How will our hero cope?
And I Did by Di_42 (E)
This is a story about faith. This is a story about love. This is a story about loss. This is a story about being apart and about being reunited. This is a story about fighting. This is a story about choices. Where do we choose to place our faith? Will a god we have faith in come and save us? Will a friend? A loved one? When do we start doubting our faith? How long before we snap, before we raise our head? How far can we go before we crumble under the weight of our own misplaced faith? Under the weight of our choices? What does it take to make us feel betrayed, abandoned, left behind? What does it take for us to turn our back on what in which we had faith? Who are we loyal to, and who is loyal to us? Who do we trust, and who trusts us? What are we ready to risk in the name of faith? What are we ready to lose in the name of loyalty? When are we going to take our lives into our own hands? What are we going to fight for? This is a story about unbreakable faith. This is, after all, a work of fiction. OR: Yet another Good Omens post season 2 fiction, featuring Supreme Archangel Aziraphale and Grand Duke Of Hell Crowley.
Epistolary by imposterssyndrome (E)
“Dear Diary, Today I encountered that most interesting phenomenon that is pornographic cinematography." Or Crowley discovers Aziraphale's personal diaries. What starts as a curious investigation about the angel's 'pornographic cinematography' experiences leads to Crowley wanting to find out about what he missed during his 14th century nap...and lots more. He discovers just how much miscommunication they had between them and how it led to so many misunderstandings. He finds out about how Aziraphale felt about him over the centuries and tries to reconcile that with his own feelings, especially now that Aziraphale is up in Heaven and not allowed to return to Earth...

To say that [Crowley] had to cling to Aziraphale so his shaking legs wouldn’t send him to the floor would be slander, because he clung to the angel to pull him closer, not to keep his balance, thank you very much.

Crowley very nearly fell off his stool.  A variety of thoughts and emotions - not the least of which was, Oh fuck his pronunciation was fucking perfect and why is that so fucking HOT?! - fought for dominance in Crowley’s mind until finally, a bare squeak of a sentence made its way past his lips.

Thank you @curiouspupsicle!
This is the last sentence I wrote, fresh from yesterday:
And it was like that, hand in hand, that they walked into the best crepe restaurant in Soho.
Too many words to tag a writer for each word, plus I think most of the writers in my corner of tumblr have already been tagged. So I'll just drop a few no pressure tags:
@addledmongoose @smua70 @pirate-fanatic @lookingatacupoftea @spectrallydistracted @sazzyfics
Last Line Tagging Game
Rules: Share the last line you wrote, then tag as many ppl as there are words.
Thanks for tagging me @the-written-wyrm :)
This truth Aziraphale hadn’t been able to explain, not to Crowley, not even to himself, loomed between them now, just like that.
Way too many words for tagging (I really should learn how to write shorter sentences), but maybe you'd like to share @rcreveal , @theriverspath, @luv4thethindarkduke, @catsteinbooks, @metalmiez? No pressure :)
And of course if anyone else who wasn’t tagged wants to share, go ahead!

Ah, I haven't read it yet, but I like that picture you've chosen with Aziraphale oh. Oh! Moment in 1941! I like it very much! Can't wait to read it!
The Trouble with HELL (12/19)
A GO Podcasters/Investigators AU (rating: eventually E)
Tumblr media
The Trouble with HELL by beerok23
Summary:
Award-winning true crime podcast Va-voom, sorted! has been on hiatus since his author, Anthony Crowley, has published his first murder mystery, Murder on the M25. When his associate Nina begs him to follow a story on a train crash, he meets PI Aziraphale Eastgate, and he soon realises that the charming Apparition in tartan is the real voice behind his favourite podcast, Mr Fell's Mystery Haven. Crowley can't possibly imagine that Aziraphale is starting his own true crime podcast to investigate the same story. Feeling the pressure of competition, Crowley goes back to his first love and wages a Podcast War against the angel until they both realise that the case is bigger than they originally thought. With so much at stake, will they keep working against each other, or will they put their differences aside and learn to trust one another to uncover the truth?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chapter 12/19: Escape (6.2k words)
Summary: Aziraphale gets home after his tête-à-tête with Brown and Crowley confronts him (he’s pissed, but he’s in love, what can you do about it?). While they share new info about the case, they are interrupted by the arrival of two unexpected (and very unwelcome) guests.
Excerpt from Chapter 12:
Aziraphale didn’t want to fight, but he also didn’t like Crowley’s unspoken accusation. “What are you implying?” “Just that Mr Moquette seemed particularly interested in a very specific kind of tartan.” Aziraphale scoffed and rolled his eyes. He couldn’t believe he had to reassure Crowley of this, but it felt necessary. “I didn’t sleep with him, Crowley. Unlike others, I don’t… shag people that I’ve just met. I wasn’t interested, not even in the slightest.” Oh, he hated being so crass. Crowley jumped up. “Excuse-me… did I come across as someone who gives a fuck about your dating life? I don’t– Wait a minute. Wh-what are you implying?” “That Greta ‘sweetheart’ Kleinschmidt obviously wanted more than a mere signature on a book!” Crowley looked at him in shock, wide-eyed and wide-mouthed. “What the fuck could have happened in the 49 seconds I was outside with her? Even I am not that good!” Aziraphale was grasping at straws. “And just because I don’t like driving, it doesn’t mean that I always like being the passenger! And what is a DILF anyway?” Crowley waited a second, then he widened his arms in despair. “What the hell are you even talking about?! And where did you learn that word?” Aziraphale huffed. “I don’t know! Greta called you DILF!” Crowley looked outraged. “How old did she think I was?! Do I look like a 54-year-old actor with five kids?!” They both sighed in exasperation, glaring at each other. Aziraphale was confused and angry. But most of all, he was tired of arguing over this.

Leaving Eden for a Garden
Chapter 3: The First Day of the Rest of Your Life
Excerpt:
Crowley frowned and grumbled at the beam of light that hit his face. He reached for the blanket to block it out, but his fingers hit open air. It explained why he was cold. He opened his eyes reluctantly. A warm honey oak bedside table swam into view, and he smiled despite feeling a little chilled.
“Morning,” he called out toward Aziraphale’s favourite reading chair.
“Good morning,” his husky voice replied from the doorway. “I made you a coffee.”
“You’re a prince,” Crowley told him, rolling over onto his back. He sat up and lifted the cup from the coaster on the bedside table. After a deep sniff, he took a sip. “You could come back over here and join me, you know.”
Aziraphale leaned against the door jamb, mug of tea in one hand, the other resting conspicuously in his dressing gown pocket. He pouted a little. “I was enjoying the view.”

I’m @tismrot (couldn’t ask from that blog, because it’s not my main one) and I am currently writing Exodus:
https://archiveofourown.org/works/55294246/chapters/140269933
It’s a dystopian human AU set in the year 2112, when Ezra (23) and Crowley (21) meet at uni. This isn’t a university fic, tho. It’s a cyberpunk hacker fic with both serious, silly and sexy religious undertones — and I try to wrestle with some heavy past and current (and hopefully not future, but at this point… well, let’s hope I’m not clairvoyant) societal issues. I’ve been building this world for decades, but two years ago I found my main characters.
(There is angst and smut, of course! And they might end up saving the world.)
I guess this is me recommending myself. Kinda awkward, but you gotta do what you gotta do.
Have a good [whenever you read this]!✨
Not awkward at all, we love self-recs! Thank for for sharing your fic with us...
EXODUS by tismrot (E) (WIP)
The year is 2112, and professor's pet Ezra (23) encounters the rebellious Crowley during a lecture at GanUni. In contrast to the cautious populace of their heavily monitored, domed city - where the slightest misstep could lead to severe repercussions - Crowley apparently lacks knowledge about the harshness of their environment… Or perhaps he simply doesn’t care? Ezra soon finds himself in a head-over-heels pash. It doesn’t help that the feeling seems mutual - it’s a distraction he can ill afford. After a disrupted choir rehearsal and a bus-stop discussion regarding highly incriminating books and films - as well as ha-Gan’s precipitation schedules - they learn unsettling truths about one another. As different as they may initially seem, there are three things tying them together: a fierce 'us against the world', disgust for ha-Gan’s treatment of anyone beyond Fourth Circle… and a shared thrill in flouting the rules. Can they carve out a precious, peaceful, fragile existence for themselves?

‘Look, we didn’t mean to oversleep. But you’ve got to understand, we fucked really hard last night,—’
‘Crowley!’
Aziraphale flushed red with a speed he hadn’t thought possible, his blood vessels working hard to express his mortification. Crowley, as usual, appeared to be entirely free of shame.

Hii, how are you?
I was wondering if there are any fics where crowley and/or aziraphale are famous and have to pretend to be together for a pr stunt (preferably where they don’t like each other at first, but I’m not picky🫣)
Thank youuu, I love your account! 🫶🫶
Hello! We have #famous aziraphale, #famous crowley, and #fake/pretend relationship tags. Here are some fics with both...
muddle through somehow by curtaincall (T)
Aziraphale Fell runs a successful food blog, Celestial Comestibles, where he shares mouthwatering recipes and heartwarming stories about his happy domestic life in a cottage with his husband and son. As promotion for his upcoming cookbook, his publishers run a contest: one lucky winner will get to spend Christmas with Aziraphale and his family. What the publishers don't know is that the real Aziraphale Fell is a single city-dweller. And if he wants to keep up his happily married persona, he'll have to acquire a cottage, husband, and son before Christmas. As it happens, his friend and neighbor Anthony Crowley has his nephew staying with him for the holidays. One fake marriage proposal later, and everything seems tickety-boo--as long as Aziraphale can keep from developing inconveniently real feelings for his pretend husband...
and now all of my garden is grown in lavender by ilikeblue (E)
Popular queer romance author, A.Z. Fell, has been lying about having a husband and a happy marriage for years. Longing to escape a string of failed relationships and looking for a fresh start, Aziraphale moves into the cottage left to him by his Great Aunt Agnes. When a TV adaptation of one of his books leads to sudden popularity and throws him into the limelight, his fans (and the press) are eager to catch a glimpse of Aziraphale's own mysterious leading man. Unfortunately, he still has to cast someone for that role. Enter the handsome gardener… Under Crowley's meticulous care the cottage's neglected garden slowly comes back to life, and Aziraphale finds himself writing the most important love story he'll ever write: his own
Method Acting by Caedmon (E)
Anthony J. Crowley is an A-list actor who has been in a bit of a slump over the last couple of years. A.Z. Fell is on the brink of superstardom, but has a reputation as a fuddy duddy. Their managers, Beezle and Gabriel, insist that if they pretend to date each other, it will solve both of their problems. It's only for three months. What's the worst that can happen?
on the same page by Chekhov (E)
Aziraphale Z. Fell is a rising star of the spiritual literary genre - the next Eat Pray Love guy - and his version of Chicken Soup For the Christian Soul is flying off the shelves. It's not that he's not grateful, but it's one thing to enjoy a career in writing and another completely to be pigeonholed into a specific genre, so much so that you are almost forbidden from writing anything else. So yes, maybe he has a bit of a secret. An outlet for his less... appropriate urges. And yes, if his typical readership got word of the sort of paragraphs he could put out on a particularly inspired night, they might suffer some form of heart attack typical for their age. But all of that is well hidden, and there is absolutely no way anyone would ever find out about his Arrangement with A.J. Crowley - the most debaucherous romantic fiction author of the decade. That is... until they have to pretend to be married to each other.
A Model Guardian by Fuuma_san (E)
Crowley is a self-sufficient model on the verge of stardom. They clawed their way up all by themselves and the very last thing they want is some cream puff bodyguard their agency hired following them around constantly. Pretending to be their boyfriend at work so they don't get a reputation as a Diva. Watching over them. Caring for them. But then it turns out "Fell" was not even his real name. Was it all fake? Would someone like him ever want someone like them?

Good Omens Fan Fiction Friday (6/20/25) - Acceptance
Tumblr media
In divisive times, it can challenging to find the universals that unite us. But all humans want to be seen, known, and accepted. That yearning turns up as a theme in many Good Omens fan fics. So for my third Pride-themed fic rec, I'll be shouting out some beautiful fics in which acceptance is centered. This will be a tiny selection, as usual. To keep the rec list concise, I'm focusing on fics in which a character hides something of themselves and expresses fear or anxiety that once seen, they'll be rejected. Of course, their inclusion on the list means that doesn't happen.
Let's start with one so beautiful it made me cry. It's Our Souls are Meant to Shine (NR) by BlackUnicorn. Aziraphale is a loving parent to Adam and Warlock and happily married to Crowley when he realizes, at 50 years old, that he's a man. Yes, having it on this list is a spoiler. Hope you don't mind. It's worth a read even if you know how it ends.
You Can Have It (E) by @voluptatiscausa deals more with self-acceptance (the title is a hint). It starts with an adorable meet-cute when a stunning, ginger delivery person shows up with flowers from Aziraphale's ex. As the story goes on, Aziraphale tries to move past his doubts that he deserves happiness. It's charming.
Shoutout to @addledmongoose who recommended this next fic when they reblogged my Queer Guardians recs. I think it fits here as well. It's A Model Guardian (E) by Fuuma-san. Crowley is a genderqueer model on their way up. Aziraphale (that's Mr. BAMF!Aziraphale to you) is the body guard hired to protect the model after a recent attack. Crowley avoids revealing themself at work so they don't hinder their career. But everything they show to Aziraphale is met with total acceptance. Aziraphale is also a legal guardian to four queer young people who need the man's love and acceptance as they navigate growing up. Lovely characterizations and a compelling plot add to the thread of "acceptance" that runs through the fic.
Not a Thirst Trap, But an Oasis (M) features text by @scullyphile/@brenna and art by @lexarturo. Aziraphale and Crowley were best friends as children who lost contact for 25 years. Aziraphale is nervous about reconnecting. Although much has changed, the pair discover their bond is still strong. There are many romantic stories in the Good Omens fandom that seem like pure fantasies that would never happen in real life. However, I know two couples who got together after 25 years or more separated. So at least one story trope may be based in reality.
In @tawnyontumblr/tawnyowl95's Tastes (E) Aziraphale is being forced into an engagement against his wishes. He decides the best way to avoid the betrothal to the bride he's never met is to take lessons from notorious rake Crowley. If you've been following my fics for a while, you probably know I love a surprise. And Tastes offers surprising treats. So that's all you're going to hear about this fic here. Oh, and Aziraphale's mother is a real piece of work--one of my favorite characters. Go check it out! There are many more fics that could go on this list. But I'll close it out here and encourage you to reblog and share your favorite fan fics in which "acceptance" is centered.
I'll return next Friday with more great Good Omens fan fics on a new theme. In the meantime, check out my other favorite fics on this pinned post of weekly Good Omens fan fiction recommendations. And if my faves appear to be your faves, check out my bookmarks on AO3--all the fics I rate in my top 10% of everything I've read.
Nurture and encourage the fan fic community. Share kudos and comments to show the many wonderful creators how much we appreciate them.

@nofomogirl, obviously I don't know if it was you, but the explanation from the person in question was that they had been let down before. Which doesn't mean anything. The fact that you read a WIP that wasn't finished doesn't mean that WIPs in general are not finished. Also, let me specify, in my original recommendation post I actually said something on the lines of "if you don't read WIPs please consider subscribing to read when it's finished because the fic is really good" etc. So really, it's not that I want to demonise those who don't read WIPs! But as a piece of advice to interact with WIPs writers (since you asked), I think framing something in a positive way is much better than framing something outlining the negatives. So just saying "I've subscribed for later, this sounds exciting!" is much better than stating "I will never read WIPs again because I've been let down before".
I feel like this is an unpopular opinion, but more people should read incomplete/unfinished/in-progress fanfics.
I've noticed this huge trend where creators on tiktok and tumblr who will be explaining how to use Archive Of Our Own to new users and they always say "and make sure to scroll down and click completed only" or how people will go out of their way to mention they only read completed fics 'because they were traumatized when they forgot to check the dates and didn't realize this fic hadn't been updated since 2012'.
The thing is - I think by not engaging with and/or actively avoiding writer's WIPs readers are potentially adding to the aggregate of abandoned works. Now this obviously isn't the case for all abandoned fics, anything from major life events, to loss of interest, to getting busy can be a reason for a fic getting abandoned - but at least on some level I just know that writers are quitting while they're ahead when they aren't garnering any response or feedback because reading WIPs has become unpopular. If you're worried about reading something that hasn't been updated since 2012 then you can use the date updated function to sort out old fics.
Anyways, support your favorite fanfic writers by engaging with their WIPs.
