A paracosm is a detailed, often deeply complex imaginary world, usually created during childhood. For many systems, their paracosms last well into adulthood and play a key role in how their system functions! This post is for all the systems with paracosms out there!

Paracosms can serve very important roles and functions for all sorts of people, and systems are no exception! Whether your paracosm plays a key role in your system, or is a minor aspect of your life, please know that there is nothing wrong with having a paracosm at any age!

We hope you and your system can continue to find joy in your paracosm, and can accept it as an important part of you! Remember that as long as you and your system benefit from your paracosm, then it is a good thing for your system. I feel like "fictive Discord messages that go hard" is a Tumblr idea that would really pop off. Just fictives in plural systems saying things or having conversations that look amazing out of context. Here's the message that inspired this btw

the only way to be plural is to have others inside your head. it doesn't matter how they were formed. trauma, intentional, accidental, born with headmates. the only way is to have headmates and if youre doing that, origin doesn't matter. having headmates cannot be kept behind a gate by people who refuse to listen to science and twist science around to suit their needs. there is no wrong or cringe way to be plural.

Sometimes you just gotta have a nickname as a cover up of your fictive identity because you’re not comfortable with saying it, and that’s completely fine (Elliot’s still a comfortable name for me, but also I go by it when I don’t wanna be called my source name by certain people !!) you’re valid if you do this too !!

Anyone else have names in your system that are unattached to any Headmates but feel like they're reserved? There are two names like that here and I wonder what it means?
