Budapest, Hungary
Another freaky experience. Once again this is not a “story” or fake. I am not claiming this is a ghost, I am simply detailing a freaky true experience.
A few years ago me and my wife were visiting the city of Budapest in Hungary. One day we decided to visit the Citadel which is located on the top of a hill. On a side not this offers stunning views of a stunning city.
Inside of the Citadel there is a museum dedicated to the War effort from the Hungarians during World War 2. Being positioned on a hill, this internal bunker was perfectly located to keep an eye on the city and also keep a good look out for any enemy aircraft. The rooms inside this museum are set up as they were during the War. Showing what would have been in each room, with manequines, props and real life relics from the time. Unfortunately most of the writing on the info boards were in Hungarian so couldn’t read to much into the history!
One of the last rooms we visited was set up with a table, chairs and a bunk. Nothing else. After a few minutes in this room we turned to leave but were distracted when a strongest smell of tobacco pipe smoke blasted us in the face, with no sign of the smoke. A relative of mine use to smoke a pipe so I am aware of the strong smell only a pip gives out. We looked around, no smoke, no people. No smoke machine! We left the room and a little startled started to leave and heard a stone thrown behind us. Again no other tourist. Freaked out we made our exit a bit quicker. We did bump into some other tourist at the other end of the museum. To far away to throw a stone, and crucially non smoking.... this was a no smoking attraction after all.
On out exit we tried to describe our experience to a staff member, unfortunately he spoke no English so we made our exit. We later found out that this room was the mess room and so soldiers would have relaxed and at that time would have smoked a pipe, as were popular at that time.
Again this is our true experience, take it as you will and feel free to add comments.

Living in a "real haunted house"
First I would like to say I am not a paranormal expert or investigator. I claim no scientific knowledge but have a keen interest in dark and spooky things. This is not a story, this is a true account of something that happened. I have had a few experiences that have made me think about things and it has made me want to share the accounts. 7 years I share a house with a friend. A typical town terraced house. On the first night I heard cupboards banging in the middle of the night. I put this down to my housemate, until the following morning when she questioned me about being in the kitchen at 2:00am slamming cupboards. We both thought nothing off it and presumed it could have been loud neighbours. Over the next few nights the banging continued and we started to notice cold spots throughout the house. The house would not be "active" all the time. We would go through a few weeks of not hearing much and then we would have lots of it. Normally when the house was messy. You would also get a strong feeling of someone walking into the front room, turn around and no one be there. Often I would get the feeling of someone walking into the room and be to scared to turn round. A visitor to the house used the bathroom. Returned to the front room after where me and my house mate were watching TV. He laughed and said "very funny turning the light off in the bathroom." The bathroom light was a pull cord and he had heard the click of the cord. When we both explained we were in the front room the whole time his face turned pale. Over Halloween we carved pumpkins and placed them on a shelf. Quite safe as the shelf was deep. Mine was placed in between two others. After returning from a night out we found mine smashed on the floor. With no one in the house and after using such a force to move it, it sent shivers down my spine. Other experiences included my house mate freaking out after witnessing something fly across her bedroom and me and my partner seeing the curtains move from the middle, the window was not open. We stared at them before feeling a icey breeze go across our faces. We actually left the house. Other visitors would often say about feeling cold spots and hearing noises when staying in the front room. We found out that many years before an old lady passed away in the house and I personally believe the activity downstairs could have been her. Although it made us jump and feel scared, it did not feel nasty. This would also make sense with the activity increasing when the house was a mess. But I also think there was something else. On night I was woken up and look towards my bedroom door to see a dark shadow coming towards me. I. Blinked my eyes to focus and it was gone.( I have goosebumps on my arms typing this right now). This happened again and feeling scared I turned the other way. I also had a feeling of bed covers being pulled in the night. One of the first times my partner spent the night, she went to bed early and also reported seeing a dark figure just as she turned the light off. You would also get an "on edge feeling" waking the small space on the landing and going through my bedroom door. This felt different to the rest of the house and would not always occur. This had more of a threatening feel. We had a wardrobe in a space on the landing, don't ask why, one day I came upstairs to find that open,I was home alone. I would often get a tight feeling on my chest when being on the landing for a while. I don't know what this thing was, I don't want to know but to be honest I am still freaked out by that feeling. Me and my housemate decided to leave the house after a year for different reasons. We were not forced out by ghosts. We wanted to do an investigation of some sort on the last night but didn't happen. There is something about this house that still scares and fascinates me. If you believe it or not this is my experience, not fake. Take it how you want and if you wish to add anything to it please feel free.
I have other experiences, not as detailed but i will post them on this tumblr.
