this blog is inspired by @do-you-know-this-queer-character, @do-you-know-this-youtuber, @do-you-know-this-twitch-streamer and pretty much any other "do you know this ____" blog

if someone has already done this please reach out to me and i will delete this blog, i just couldn't find anyone else who was doing this and thought it could be fun

rules:

i accept pretty much any vtubers you want tbh. im not gonna say no because they may have been in controversy.

if you want to submit a vtuber that seems to have moved on from their channel and you know that they have a new current identity, submit the current one and not their pl. (ex. don't submit mysta rias, submit k9kuro)

there's a little bit of a grey area between wether people who are mostly youtubers or have been youtubers for a long while count as vtubers if they have a vtuber model, like jaiden animations (and more recently quinn benet). i will accept people who are primarily youtubers but have vtuber models just like for simplicity ig idk.

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSIONS

i'll be operating submissions fairly similar to how do-you-know-this-twitch-streamer operates theirs. this is for no particular reason other than it seemed pretty concise and like it worked well.

for submissions, please include:

the name of the vtuber

a link to their youtube\twitch\whatever else channel (i know that some vtubers stream on multiple sites, you can either link whatever they use more often or link both/all of them or something)

what language they primarily make content in

what company they are in, what branch of that company they are a part of, and what generation/wave they are a part of (i know this is not applicable for all, if they are an indie please specify)

you can include some fun facts or propaganda or information about the vtuber if you'd like

posts in general will be very simple, every post will be a poll asking the question "have you heard of this vtuber?" with the responses "yes, i am an active viewer" "yes, i used to be an active viewer" "no, but i have heard of them" and "no, i have never heard of them". the polls will close after a day and i will aim to post 1-3 polls a day

the tagging system will also be pretty simple. i'll tag

the name of the vtuber

the name of the vtuber's company, company branch, and wave (if applicable)

language that the vtuber speaks

poll tags

and some custom tags for the blog (really just the tag "doyouknowthisvtuber")

if the post is not a poll, it will be tagged with "not a poll" (super cool name i know)

uhhhh extra stuff

mod goes by ares and uses she/he/they/it pronouns

i know that dni lists don't work and i don't really care if you're like a dickhead who likes or rbs or submits stuff but for the love of god don't be a dickhead on my posts

i know there can be a lot of drama in the vtubing community (especially right now) so please don't get into that on my posts

uh. my banner and pfp are dokibird and k9kuro just because. well i don't know. i just needed some kind of vtubers to use there and those are ones that i like so. yeah.
