♫⋆。 Beatles Fact: In the song ‘Eleanor Rigby’, Father McKenzie was originally going to be called ‘Father McCartney’, however Paul McCartney did not like this as it sounded too similar to his father. John Lennon believed it would be fine, however Paul was insistent on changing the name. They looked through a phone book, underneath the name ‘McCartney’ and found ‘McKenzie’, Paul instantly liked the name, and used it in his song. This created the iconic character we know of today.

♫⋆。 Today we remember Brian Epstein, the English music manager and entrepreneur who discovered the Beatles in the early 1960s, transforming the group from a regional band into one of the world’s most famous music groups. The Beatles wouldn’t known worldwide without him, he passed August 27, 1967.
Epstein was often referred to as the ‘Fifth Beatle’.

♫⋆。 The Beatles were photographed for the cover of their debut album Please Please me, on 16 February 1963. Angus McBean photographed the Beatles looking down from a balcony. It was McBean’s second shoot with the band, taken at EMI House in Manchester Square, London.
“As I went into the door [of EMI House] I was in the staircase well. Someone looked over the banister – I asked if the boys were in the building, and the answer was yes. ‘Well,’ I said, ‘get them to look over, and I will take them from here.’”
“I only had my ordinary portrait lens, so to get the picture, I had to lie flat on my back in the entrance. I took some shots and I said, ‘That’ll do.’” - Angus McBean

♫⋆。 The iconic attic photoshoot which features George Harrison and John Lennon. Located in Hamburg, Germany in 1962, in Stuart Sutcliffe’s Art Studio, photographed by Astrid Kirchherr
It is shown that Lennon was standing in the same place as where Sutcliffe stood for an earlier photo that Kircherr had taken.
“It was like a merry-go-round in my head, they looked absolutely astonishing… My whole life changed in a couple of minutes. All I wanted was to be with them and to know them.” - Astrid Kirchherr commented on The Beatles (Snap Galleries).

"The Beatles couldn’t go anywhere. A couple of times they were in my car and the police would have to just wave us through a red light because they knew if the car stopped it’d be totally mobbed" - David Hurn, (Magnum Photos)
