I am Amira, the breadwinner for my family after my father's death. We were forced to flee to the southern part of Gaza after the war intensified. Our home, my university, and my workplace were bombed😢.

For everyone else, I'll keep this as brief as I can. I know this is a fun, silly blog, the kind that people follow to get away from the stress and tragedies of daily life, and I will respect that, but I am urging you to please think of those who don't have the privilege of getting away from the horror around them too, like Amira and her family.

As a follow up from the previous post, I want to say I was happy to see the overwhelming majority of you express interest in having this blog back! I also want to thank everyone who expressed concern or sent an ask while I was gone. Not going to lie, I hadn't considered anyone would notice my absence or care much, but clearly I was wrong, so that's very heartwarming to discover :) I promise I'll do better to notify you if I'm taking a break from now on so that nobody has to worry.

Concerning plans for the blog, I want to take care of updating the results spreadsheet first and foremost, and going forward I will definitely need someone to help me out with that. It got more complicated and time consuming to fetch the exact numbers since the last time I did this, so I'll put out a little form for those who are interested to fill out and I'll choose someone from there. Keep an eye out for that! Once the spreadsheet is up-to-date, I'll start posting polls again, picking up where I left off.

Finally, there are over 10,000 of you here now, which is absolutely mind-blowing and a little intimidating to be entirely honest lol. But thank you for your interest and for stopping by, and I hope you enjoy your stay. See you around! 💚🐰
