Most Unhinged Dropout Cast Member Poll Bracket - FINAL RESULTS!

Alright, folks, that does it for this unhinged poll bracket! Our winner is (to, I'm sure, very few people's surprise) Ally Beardsley!!! There could not possibly be a more deserving person for such a title. Whether you know them best from their hilarious sketch performances from back in the days of CollegeHumor, their mind-boggling character choices on Dimension 20, their unwavering commitment to the bit in every Game Changer appearance, their stoner shenanigans on Paranoia, the bonkers stories from their actual real life shared on Dirty Laundry, or the very real psychological torment they inflict on both Grant O'Brien and us, the audience, in Total Forgiveness, I'm sure we can all agree that Ally Beardsley has never encountered a hinge in their whole damn life.

Also deserving of a big shout out right now are the winners of our two mini-brackets - Oscar Montoya, the most hinged cast member, and Jacob Wysocki, winner of our honorable mention mini-bracket - as well as, of course, our runner up, and therefore the winner of this bracket's Brennan Lee Mulligan Award, Vic Michaelis!

Now for some final poll stats for the whole bracket:

The poll with by far the most votes was our final poll between Vic and Ally, with 2,221 votes

The person who received the most votes in a single poll was, perhaps unsurprisingly, Ally in the final poll, with approximately 1,495 votes, which is more votes than any of the other polls received in total

Our most unanimous wins of the bracket were Lou and Erika who beat Murph and Raph respectively with about 93% of the votes in each of their polls

The closest poll was Emily against Brennan, in which Emily won with a mere 52% of the votes

Though it wasn't ultimately the closest poll, the semi-final between Emily and Vic was also very close, and was the only poll in the bracket that a) was tied for a while and b) switched who was in the lead after the first day of voting

Anyway, thank you all for voting in this bracket! I'd still be interested in doing a mini-bracket between cast members who weren't in these polls, but I need some submissions to do so, so please drop me an ask! Also, sorry for taking a while to get this post up, I've had a busy couple days, and I foolishly hadn't prepared victory images for Ally and Vic beforehand. Just one day left to vote in this epic final showdown between two chaotic, non-binary icons - though I'll admit there isn't much suspense in this one. I am delighted that without any reblogs on my part, this finale has been the poll in this bracket with by far the most votes! Last round I had said I planned on posting propaganda along with this post, but then almost all the submissions I got were for Ally, so I decided not to bias the poll with them right off the bat. But now that we're almost done (and a Beardsley sweep seems practically inevitable), I thought I'd share some of the propaganda that was shared with me as well as some favorite tags I've seen about them:

Such a fun interview. Love a behind the scenes look at the madness of Game Changer. My main take-aways from this are a) I cannot wait to see the potential "Game Changer game that you do not know at the time is a Game Changer game" next season and b) Izzy Roland should've gotten more votes in her poll. I stand by Ally winning, but damn it all if Izzy shouldn't've given them more of a run for their money.

So, who did I miss?

As I watch all the fantastic new content Dropout has been coming out with this year, such as Very Important People, Smartypants, and Thousandaires, I'm becoming increasingly aware of just how many truly unhinged individuals are regularly gracing our screens, but didn't make it onto my list for this poll bracket. In most cases, this is because they just aren't on my personal favorite shows as much as the people I did include, though in some cases I chalk it up to brain farts - I had COVID when I started this blog, and did not have the brainpower to do much revising of my list once I had 32 people written down. I've already had some people I forgot pointed out to me, and my reaction is usually "holy crap, you're right! They're a total lunatic, how did I forget them???"

Anyway, the reason I'm posting this, is that I'd love to do a mini-bracket (or just a single poll, depending on how many people get submitted) to find the most unhinged person I left out of the bracket. But given the main reason someone might have been left out is me not being as familiar with them, it'd be a hard list for me to come up with on my own. So, you know what to do...

Most Unhinged Dropout Cast Member Poll Bracket - FINALS!!!

Our semi-finals have reached their end, and that can only mean one thing: it's time for the final poll of the bracket!!!!

In round 4, we saw Ally absolutely wipe the floor with Izzy, with 62% of the votes, a real testament to Ally's lunacy, given everything about the way that Izzy is. We also had a nail-biter of a showdown between Emily Axford and Vic Michaelis, which was a) the single poll in the bracket with the most votes so far, and b) the only poll so far in which the person who was in the lead for the first day did not ultimately win the poll. In the end, Vic reigned victorious, but Emily definitely got a lot of well-deserved appreciation for her love of antics and shenanigans and chaos.

This means we are down to our two finalists: Vic Michaelis and Ally Beardsley! I'd say if I were to classify the unhingedness of these two absolute madmen, I would say that Vic's is characterized by weirdness, while Ally's is characterized by chaos. They are both responsible for some of the Dropout moments that make me feel the most like my soul is leaving my body and I am losing all touch with reality. Both of them are such masters of comedy, having each made me laugh til I cry, cringe with my entire body, and sometimes just stare in bewilderment more times than I can count. While only one of them can take the title of the most unhinged cast member, they are both winners in my heart.

Anyway, now that that's all out of the way...

Alright friends, we got one day left on this! There’s about a 30 vote lead going right now but also this is the first poll in the bracket to switch who was in first place after the first day, so we definitely could still see a last minute comeback (if people reblog for sample size - a request I’ve thus far resisted making but can’t resist on this one).

Honestly I was so torn on this one I ended up not voting for the person I had as the winner in my initial predictions (who I’d planned on voting for right up until I was confronted by the poll). Emily is such a constant stream of chaos in all that she does, but on the other hand, so is Vic, but in a radically different way. I keep trying to think of ways to describe their different flavors of chaos, but honestly I’m at a loss, so if y’all have any good descriptors up your sleeves for these two, *bleem voice* get in the comments!!!

I require propaganda!

Before the semi-finals are done, I'd love to get some submissions of propaganda for all four of our semi-finalists - Izzy, Ally, Vic, and Emily! I'm probably not going to post any more this round (maybe some for Izzy and Ally since I haven't already, but I'm not sure), but I'd like to be prepared with propaganda to post right off the bat in the finals, and I'll probably do appreciation posts for our disqualified semi-finalists as well - they deserve it for getting this far and being such weirdos!
