I uh. I don’t sew much. But I needed a yarn-bag for my knitting and I had scraps left lying around and so I threw this together. I. I know I fucked up in a few places (putting together a cylinder and it’s bottom is hard) but it’s functional and I’m gonna chose to like it.

GOOD! You should like it! Taking scraps and transforming them into something useful and functional is an amazing thing to do, and the newspaper print fabric stuff looks so cool! I hope it holds your yarn for many years to come!

This blog also loves and supports our morally ambiguous space moms, and this is a great drawing of them! The silver and the background with the Voidfish gives it a look of religious iconography. They both look so cool, thoughtful and authoritative.

I’ve never posted fanart before but this whole #duckdays2019 thing seems like a cool opportunity to try it? Anyway on this blog we love and support our morally ambiguous space moms.

This is a great poem. I like the ambiguous feel of it, you’re left wondering whether the narrator’s fear is justified or not. The last line is cool and a little bit eerie!

dont fear falling

sings the rain

i am afraid

i cant see the ground

the rain jumps from the clouds

Unafraid and

Trusting that they will be caught

calling for me to follow

This is gorgeous! It’s a great composition, and I love the beautiful firey hair against the cosmic background. Such a great mood to this piece.

This is a piece I did for AP2D this year, I’m happy to share it for Duck Days 2019! I loved being able to participate last year, this is such a great opportunity to encourage fellow creatives and build each other up. Shoutout to the people who organized this event, and I’m so excited to see more art throughout the week 🦆

Ok I recently started trying to relearn cross stitching, since last time I tried was a few years ago. I was really bad when I first tried but right now I think I’m actually doing pretty good? So I’m really excited about that. In addition to relearning a skill, in the spirit of duck days I tried making my own little pattern this time too!

So like. I’m bad at drawing. I’ve always been bad and it’s made me reluctant to try. I try to doodle stuff sometimes but i usually just give up and never show anyone. But, I was feeling inspired by @duck-days and wanted to put something out there.

It’s a sketch of The Daughter of The Fish and The Ram. This song means so much to me and I really wanted to create something to reflect it.

Ahhh man it’s so cool and shiny!! Love how the scale texture shows off the metallic paint, and the contrast with the bright white eyes and teeth!! It’s a very good dragon and I wish it could benevolently watch over my bookcases!

So I finished painting my first clay sculpture.

They’re beautiful!! I love how vibrant your colors are and the way you’ve arranged them, especially all the little sections in the petals (are they petals? the petal-like things) of that starflower!

Ahhh, holy crap Scribe this turned out so good! The boys are adorable and the Morkoth looks the perfect combination of ridiculous and creepy. Also I was not expecting so much movement with Erwyn’s arms and gestures, you really put a ton of effort into this and it looks fantastic!

I love how the Morkoth looks and Erwyn’s little twitches and expressions and Kriv’s BIG GRUMPY YELL. It’s SO GOOD. The acting is GREAT. You had to learn a lot of different things to make this and the end product is really impressive!!

Hey! Sooooo for @duck-days i decided i was gonna make an animatic of a scene from my d&d campaign despite having no real sequential art experience of any type, really limited experience drawing with a tablet, and zero knowledge of how videos work. Also the scene I chose ended up like seven minutes long and two of the characters in it are a beaky tentacle monster and a dragonborn wearing a blindfold.

I am not good at choosing reasonable projects is what I’m saying.

Anyway. This is not the entire thing! But it is about 85 seconds of it! I learned a lot and I’m really proud of what I’ve made so far! The improvement is really obvious already and i’m excited to see what else i can make! Also animating Erwyn’s twitchy ears is super fun!!

Every voidfish you make brings you one step closer to the Ultimate Fisher. Also this is a really cool take on the voidfish design, with the bid swooping stylized tentacles, I don’t see that as often as the thread-thin ones and it’s a really good look! Also the detail and rim lighting on your tiny Magnus looks amazing!

It sounds like this was really tough to record and post but it turned out really well! You should be proud of it and proud of yourself for having the bravery to try it and share it! Your hard work paid off, keep playing and learning and growing, and screw that self hatred!

My final piece for wooden duck week is one I’ve actually been working on for weeks… and this is the best I can do. Yeah I’m feeling that self hatred right now for sure. 

Anyway, at least it’s only a minute and forty eight seconds. My hands are sweaty from multiple takes. I’m gonna go lie down now. Happy wooden duck week.
