might take a bit for me to actually get to shit because I'm very good at procrastinating and I lost all sense of time since graduating

and then I'm gone for over a month.

I apologize for my incredibly long absence, I haven't had the motivation to return to running the blog, a lot has been happening in my life along with just in general being unmotivated and mentally dead. fortunately I graduated HS recently so I have more time to actually work on this blog.

regular posting will resume within the coming days. feel free to start sending in requests so I can pack the queue. (I'll probably dump my own faves in there too)

I'm also considering changing the poll options, so expect that soon as well.

it probably was a bad idea to start this blog right before i leave for a big important trip but yeah. at some point ill be taking a hiatus for about a week, going to a diff state for family matters, but i'll try to pack the queue up to satisfy everyone before i leave.

"so, how do i request?"

a handy template can be found in the pinned post under the cut, but as a general reminder, i need the game name, character name, and the instance where the voiceline is heard. it is HEAVILY encouraged to also include a link to somewhere i can download the isolated voiceline, like a fandom wiki page. though this isn't required, it makes my job so much easier.

I do plan on opening requests later today to pack the queue up, so just as an early note please provide either a link to a wiki page where I can extract the voiceline or anywhere I can take the isolated voice clip, thank you

Rules & Regulations

a blog for video game voicelines! inspired by @doyoulikethis-videogame-song, @videogamepolls and @dyktvideogamesfx

submissions/requests are currently open

on a week-long hiatus, polls will be paused until I return

an assortment of questions will be found below the cut:

"How does this work?"

it's very simple. i find an isolated voiceline of a character and create a poll for it. then, you have to guess the source of the voiceline and the character who says it. results will be posted after the polls have ended, each poll lasting about a week.

"What are the options of the polls?"

the options proceed as follows:

"i know the game and character" "i know the game but not the character" "i know the character but not the game" "i heard it before but don't know the source" "i haven't heard it before"

i do not intend on changing the poll options, these will be set in stone.

"What are the submission rules?"

I have a spreadsheet set up to keep track of voicelines that have been previously used. voicelines previously done will be denied. the exception to this rule is if the voiceline is in a different language, in which case it will be added in.

here is a template to follow for submitting:

[game name], [character name], [instance of voiceline used], [language (if applicable)]

"How many posts will you send out per day"

the queue is set to post 3 per day between 7 am and 10 pm US eastern time
