Had a long weekend off Peloton, did a 18,000 step walk yesterday after working all through the weekend, so got back on Peloton training today!
The class was hard work but doable, and I burnt a lot more calories then I have been in other classes leading up to now so I’m feeling pretty good, progress is happening.
Finally using my air fryer for veg rather than steaming and frying (oil free or with oil spray) and it worked a treat, paired with a big wedge of tofu and some chipotle sauce and light houmous.
I started the day off with a team zoom meeting, then had a bit of a meltdown in the late morning trying to figure out how to structure my day, but I got through it and ended up having a really productive day. I wish more days could be like this, but I’m sure they will. Progress, progress.

Life changer.
I’ve been wanting to go back to the gym since this whole panera started, but even now as gyms are reopening in the UK I just can’t get myself to feel comfortable enough to go back to one. It’s a mixture of COVID and germ fear, and having to deal with men in a gym setting.
So instead, I’ve got a Peloton! I’m paying monthly for it, and me and my flatmate are splitting the cost of the peloton membership. Overall I’m paying a bit more than I would for monthly gym membership, but I’m actually paying towards owning something that will retain its value. Pretty much a win win for me.
I’m in week 2 of the Mastering The Basics program and the saddle sore is starting to settle. That was the hardest thing to start with, now the hardest thing is keeping up with the class. Excited to see my own growth and development, and to start to get my fitness levels back. 🚲💪

Me trying to ignore all the vegan pastries at work and eat my salad lunch.
This is one of my fave salads, the Thug Kitchen crushed chickpea, artichoke salad with peppers and cucumber, as well as olives and parsley which I was out of. 😌

I’ve had a very anxious few days, seems to have come out of nowhere and is sticking. Spending my day off with coffee, some peanut butter energy balls, Animal Crossing and a sleepy poodle. It’s the warmest day of the year so far so I’ll get out in the afternoon for sure. ☀️
I’m doing Noom - the app - and I really like it, it’s very educational and based on CBT which seems very effective. But I did majorly fall off last week. Did all my courses for today and trying to hold myself accountable again.

A masterpiece.
I’ve outdone myself.
Today’s breakfast consists of all the berries, some vegan high protein granola and soya yoghurt underneath it all. 🥰

Blackberry goodness.
Punnet of blackberries, banana, soya milk, Vivolife protein and a sprinkle of flaxseed.
I had a chilled day off today, rested in the morning then did RingFit and did some food prep.
Got a bit off track with Noom last week so trying to get back on it from today ☀️

Before // after.
Kale, orange, apple, cucumber with some apple and mango juice (nfc).
Do No Harm is a forever mood, but feels appropriate this heavy week.

Big home day today.
Today was a food delivery, batch cooking, email-heavy-while-cuddling-poodles kinda day.
Made a giant chilli to last the week, tried out a different green juice combo (orange, kale, cucumber, apple and mango).
Even though this was a WFH day it felt busy, and when I’m busy I struggle to keep up with self care things like logging and doing my Noom lessons, meditating, etc. Baby steps.

Five years later

A lot of life has happened in the 5 year gap since I stopped using this account.
Running a business, overworking, burnout and an up and down relationship with both food and exercise has meant a lot of changes to my mind and body. (We can add a year of surviving a pandemic to that too).
I’m back to be inspired by my past self, honestly reading back on how I used to write and the things I used to post has me pumped to be that energised and motivated again.
I aim to post my exercises, some food content and my progress as I go along, mostly for myself, though if anyone else benefits for it that’s a happy bonus.
Let’s do this.

Not sure why this didn't post on Sunday night but here we go. Had a good women only weights room session, loved having free access to the weights again. Working through The Grassfed Athlete's training program and loving it, really tired me out. Still aching...
