Einstein’s gravitational waves found at last
One hundred years after Albert Einstein predicted the existence of gravitational waves, scientists have finally spotted these elusive ripples in space-time.
In a highly anticipated announcement, physicists with the Advanced Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO) revealed on 11 February that their twin detectors have heard the gravitational ‘ringing’ produced by the collision of two black holes about 400 megaparsecs (1.3 billion light-years) from Earth.
“Ladies and gentlemen, we have detected gravitational waves,” David Reitze, the executive director of the LIGO Laboratory, said at a Washington DC press conference. “We did it!”

I don’t think our generation truly understand how different our future is going to be.
There are a lot of things that are going to be very different in the distant future. Here’s a few:
Saltwater fish could be extinct by 2048
Whites will become the american minority in 2044
Bees are dying (and bringing important staple foods down with them)
The world having significant less oil by 2040 (and may even run out completely by 2068)
Chocolate will be scarce by 2020
The world is running out of helium
By 2050, we might not have enough resources to feed our cattle, so we could actually run out of hamburger meat (best case scenario: Steak will just become very expensive, which means no more $1 burgers)
Parents are seriously at the point where they have to chose between saving for their retirement or paying for their kids college fees; sometimes, they can’t do both
global warming is ruining the world
Wake up, everyone. The world is changing. It’s seriously up to us to save it. (If you know of any more, please add on!)

“Jewish Voice for Peace”
Dear world,
Summer has started and unfortunately I have things to write about.
I just saw an article about a "wonderful" organization named "Jewish Voice for Peace". The people who take part in this organization are Jews who support the BDS – who believe that Israel is immoral, because of the "occupation" of Gaza.
When two of them were told that they will be seen in Israel  as operating against their own people, their reaction was "that’s so sad! We are not the problem, and this whole thing that we are enemies of the Jewish people…because we criticized Israel policy? That's so sad!"
My dears,
Criticizing Israeli policy doesn’t make you our enemies.
Doing that outside our country, influencing other people who are actually anti-Semites but hide behind the pro-Palestine title because you are making it legit, does.
You want change?? Great! Make Aliyah, get into politics in Israel and make a change. Don't tell us we are wrong from your very nice and comfortable home in the USA or wherever you live. Anyway Aliyah might be your best option because if you'll ever get what you wish from there, all the pro-Palestinians masks will fall and you will have to deal with those anti Semites without Israel backup.
Just think about it.
With love,
EDEN

Israel's Holocaust Memorial Day
Today I'm ashamed.
Ashamed to be part of the homo-sapiens species that claims to be the smartest, to be enlightened. Only 76 years have passed since the beginning of the unbelievable massive human slaughter, and people are already forgetting, denying the existence of the holocaust.
Today, more and more enlightened and democratic countries remove the holocaust from their education programs. I don't get it- how erasing the memory of dozens of millions of people who were murdered brutally is an act of democracy, pluralism, liberalism and human love?
Unfortunately we tend to repeat our mistakes – we are starting to go on the same path on which we walked 80 years ago, a path of ignorance, racism, cruelty and brutality.
Today, for the sake of humanity and in honor of all those who were assassinated: 6,000,000 Jews, 3,000,000 soviets, 2,000,000 ethnic Poles, 270,000 disabled, almost 15,000 homosexuals and more and more- almost 11,000,000 human beings (without even counting the soldiers of both sides) who were slaughtered just because they were "different".
For all of those, I promise. Never forget.

nrg - 10 Hours of Walking in Paris as a Jew
Open your eyes!!!
Anti-Semitic actions must stop being recognized as anti-Israeli or pro-Palestine actions!
They are not. This man could have been any normal Jewish-French citizen, who doesn't have anything with the politic, and yet he couldn't even go on the street without getting responses about being Jewish. The Jews who live in French are afraid for their lives.
Last year I took part in a delegate to Paris. In a whole week we had only two hours to get separate and do shopping, and of course two men noticed my friends and were going two hurt them. One of our guides heard them and said he'll call the police, and they ran away.
Everyone can costume, and say they are not anti-Simitis, but pro Palestine, because that sound much better, doesn't it? But that’s a lie. Look at the facts…
Open your eyes. Stop ignoring what happens right in front of your face.

I want to start this post by saying I’m completely biased when it comes to the above mentioned conflict, as I am currently writing this from Israel, the country in which I was born and raised. That being said, it gives me authority to talk about it, something John...

Children at the war
Day God-Knows-Which to Protective Edge Operarion
A few days ago we were in a vacation in the north of Israel. My sweet 4 years old sister asked me where the safety space is in case the siren will go off.
My best friend worked this summer in a kindergarten. She told me that one day the children played in “sirens”- two children did the sound of the siren and the other “ran” to the safety room. Then, they all “died” slowly.
Even though we have the iron dome, we don’t feel safe. The children are scared. We can’t say the truth, we can’t tell them “when you hear the sirens, you must run to the safety room. if you don’t run, you’ll die”.
But children are sensitive. Sometimes, they feel and understand the things we can’t and won’t tell them.
Last Friday, it happened. A 4 YEARS OLD CHILD (yes, the same age as my sister) DIED, You are asking why?? Because, while trying to leave his kibbutz and moving to a safer place, the siren went off. Because he had only 3 SECONDS to run and hide in the shelter. 3 SECONDS to escape from the rocket that the iron dome couldn't force down.
This child named DANIEL TERGERMAN.  He had a family. He had friends. He has people that love him,
But he will never be with them again.
R.I.P Daniel Tergerman.
For all the people who have families, I hope they will be safe.

During Operation Protective Edge, rockets fired from Gaza rained down on Israeli civilians. Hamas fired each of these rockets with the desire to kill Israelis.
No country would accept it if 70% of its population were living under the rocket fire of terrorists. Neither did we.

Ninth Lesson From the Gaza War: Hamas Will Use Humanitarian Aid for Evil.
It required 800 tons of concrete to build the terror tunnel that almost resulted in a massacre of Israelis on a kibbutz near the Gaza border last week, the Washington Post reports.
Where did all that concrete come from? And how is it related to the $47-million in “humanitarian aid” that Secretary of State John Kerry now wants to give to Hamas?
Most countries prohibit the export of seemingly innocent products that could in fact be used for military or terroristic purposes. Rogue regimes such as Iran and North Korea routinely exploit such “dual use” items, importing them under the guise of peaceful civilian purposes, and then putting them to use in the production of nuclear or chemical weapons.
In the case of Israel and Gaza, concrete is a classic dual-use item. The Hamas regime and pro-Palestinian groups around the world for years have been demanding that Israel permit Gaza to import concrete and other construction materials. How else will people be able to build houses? they ask. Surely Israel and its supporters are not so insensitive that they would want innocent Palestinians to be homeless? And what about the children?
As long ago as 2010, the Obama Administration began pressuring Israel to ease up on its blockade of such imports to Gaza. Vice President Joe Biden told interviewer Charlie Rose, on Bloomberg TV: “We have put as much pressure and as much cajoling on Israel as we can to allow them to get building materials” into Gaza.
The international pressure on Israel intensified until finally, last September, the Israeli government buckled. The New York Times reported on September 17 that  Israel had agreed “to allow building materials meant for private projects into the Gaza Strip for the first time in six years…Gaza has been struggling with a shortage of building materials…[An] Israeli official said that 350 trucks of cement, steel and concrete would cross into Gaza weekly.”

24th day to "Protective Edge" Operation
I'm so angry. I'm so tired of people that judge us and our reactions. People that think "We know what is really going on in Israel! we aren't ignorant; We watch TV! And the TV never lies, right?"
Sure.
I just saw in the TV the Red Cross representative in Gaza saying that power plant destroyed, that Gaza Strip now has less than 20 percent of the limited electricity supplies it had before the conflict began.
I believe that most of people will get to the RATIONAL AND REASONABLE guess: the cruel Jews are destroying Gaza because they want to control the world and be rich!
Let me tell you the few things that the representative of the Red Cross hadn't said: Why does Gaza have only 20% of the limited electricity supplies it had before the conflict began? Why do the evil Israelis stop supplying electricity to Gaza?
WE HADN'T. One of the ROCKETS that HAMAS sent to Israel (in order to kill as many Israelis as it can, of course) HITTED the line that SUPPLIES ELECTRICITY TO GAZA,
As I said in one of my previous posts, every war has a price. Death.
A lot changed since I wrote this post.
On last Saturday, Roy Peles fell in combat. He was like a big brother to my best friend.
On last Wednesday, Guy El-garnati, that studied in my high-school a couple of years ago, and his sisters are still studying in it, fell in combat too.
I met Roy only twice and haven't heard about Guy until yesterday. I'm not going to tell you who they were because I hadn't known them.
But it hurts. It hurts because I know people that love them and want them to come back home.
They will never come back.
56 Israelis already died in this war. They will never see another day. Never watch another sunset, and say to the people they love that they love them.
And the war just goes on and on.....
The emotional side of me screams WHY DON'T THEY STOP IT? Isn't it enough? So many people had already died.
But the rational side of me knows that WE CAN'T STOP, because if we will stop now, MANY MORE ISRAELI CIVILIANS WILL BE KILLED IN TERROR ATTACKS.
To all the people that feel comfortable to sit in front of the TV where ever they live: Come to Israel. Live in here for a couple of months, maybe years. Understand what is it to stop everything in your life when the sirens go off. Maybe one day (even though I hope you won't) you will hear one of your neighbors screams that it can't happen,  he or she can't be dead because of the TERROR ATTACK / COMBAT that happened. THEN, JUST THEN you will be able to judge us.
To all of our brave soldiers, come back in peace. Thank you, for risking your life in order to save ours.
Roy and Guy, and all the soldiers that fell in combat, may your souls be bound in the bond of life.

16th Day to "Protective Edge" Operation
Israeli News:
"Protective Edge"- day 16
Two soldiers were killed yesterday in Gaza.
This war, any war, has a price,
Death.
And it doesn't metter if that's a death of soldiers, death of Israeli civilians or even palastinien civilians.
We don't want it. We don't want this war or this death - but we keep fighting. We keep fighting because we don't have another choise, because if we will stop now, nothing will change. We will still be waiting everyday to the sirens that wiil send us all to the shelter, we will still be waiting to heare about another person that was hurt or killed, about another house that was destroyed. We will still be hearing those people that don't have any idea of what is going on here, judging us, our actions.
Everything will be the same.
So we are fighting, hoping that this time something will change. if we had another option, to find a solution by peace  - we would have already done that.
I pray for all the soldier, our protectors, to come back home in peace.

Just when you thought they could not get any lower: ‘Palestinians’ using Fogel family murder pics for propaganda
I just found the picture above on Facebook. Do the pictures look familiar? The originals from the Fogel family home in Itamar in March 2011 may be found in the video here.  From Facebook again:
How low can one go. Hamas is using the pictures of the Fogel family massacre for their propaganda purposes and are claiming that this is what we did to a family in Gaza. It is just beyond belief……..disgusting creatures.
How low can they go? I don’t think we’ve hit the bottom yet.

11th Day to "Protective Edge" Operation
Yesterday I visited my role model and friend, who is a HOLOCAUST SURVIVOR. I took part in a project in which for a year I met every week a group of amazing holocaust survivors and heard their testimonies. Naturally - as a person who have strong connection with those amazing people - I'm insulted when I see people who don't have any idea of what is really going on here, and call us NAZIS. I keep thinking how the HOLOCAUST SURVIVORS feel about it. So, for all the people who think that we are doing genocide in the Palestinians, let me tell you about a thing you can only see in the Israeli news: - "Following the UN request a cease fire between 10:00 to 15:00" - "13 terrorists were stopped before committing a terrorist attack against Israeli civilians" Why am I not surprised.... For the second this week Hamas ignores the cease fire and tries to kill as much as Israeli civilians as it can. Israel had no choice. We had to launch a ground operation in Gaza. I pray for all the IDF soldier (including my cousin and uncle ) to come back in peace. Dear Israelis: keep calm. We have been in this situation before and always got through it. There is no reason it will be different this time. Hope we will have a quite night. EDEN PS I find it really amusing that my brother and his friends invited a ball game named "Iron Dome". I think all of us need to act like them and find the things that help us cope with the situation.

9th Day to "Protective Edge" Operation
There have been two low-level drills since I arrived in 13...Neither experience has prepared me for the wordless, eardrum-piercing, fear-inducing sirens that now permeate 13. There would be no disregarding this sound, which seems designed to throw the whole population into a frenzy. But this is 13 and that doesn't happen...Boggs guides Finnick and me out of Command, along the hall to a doorway, and onto a wide stairway. Streams of people are converging to form a river that flows only downward. No one shrieks or tries to push ahead. Even the children don't resist. We descend, flight after flight, speechless, because no word could be heard above this sound.
mockingjay, chapter 10
I believe that every one of the people who defined himself as "hunger" will recognize this part. When you've read it, maybe you could connect to it, and could imagine yourself in this situation. maybe you didn't.
Do you know what is the difference?
We, the Israelies, don't need to imagine it.
This is how I live in the last 10 days.
This is how people from the south of our country live for almost 15 years.
The concern that every minute eardrum-piercing, fear-inducing sirens will go off, and send all of us into the shelter.
But we don't panic. Everybody knows what to do: Streams of people are converging to form a river that flows only downward. No one shrieks or tries to push ahead. Even the children don't resist.
A couple of days ago i saw a post that said "Who needs the 'Hunger Games'? Israel is the real thing."
This is our country and we are HERE TO STAY. No matter what will happen we will stay here.
Dear Israelies, stay calm. Everything will turn out of the best.
Dear soldiers: thank you for keeping us safe. Come back in peace.

8th Day to "Protective Edge" Operation
The same story as always:
Hamas attacks Israel.
Israel defence herself.
someone suggests a cease-fire
Israel agrees.
Hamas keep sending rockets on israel untill they publish their state about the cease-fire, which is rejection.
So why does the world keep looking at us as the bad guys? we want peace. we don't want war. we don't want to kill any innocent person.
Before attacking Gaza we warn them: they get an sms that say they should get out of their houses within 15 minuts. IDF is knocking on their rouf to let them inough time to get out of the house before it being attacked. WE ARE TRING TO MINIMIZE THE PEOPLE IN GAZA THAT ARE BEING HURT BECAUSE OF THE HAMAS.a couple of days ago one of our pilots have canceled an action because he saw a child in the place he was supposed to attack.
Would every country do those things for her enemy? Don't be so sure...
Do you know what the Hamas tells his people? stay at your house. Don't vecate,
War is a war. People get hurt. all the time I see anti-israelies and anti-simithies people writing statuses aout how Israel doesn't have even one person killed and Hamas and Gaza have lots of them.
Dear people, this is the difference:
ISRAEL'S GOAL is to PROTECT here people,
ISRAEL tries to MINIMIZE the people that are being HURT BECAUSE OF THE HAMAS IN GAZA,
ISRAEL WANTS PEACE
From the other side,
HAMAS GOAL is to HURT AS MUCH PEOPLE AS SHE CAN.
HAMAS ORDERS here people to STAY AT THE DANGER ZONE.
HAMAS DOES'NT WANT PEACE. SHE WANTS DEATH.
I hope that I gave you a couple of things to think about.
Its time for the world to start seeing things from our point of view.
Have a nice day,
EDEN :)
PS
Reblog It if you support Israel. We want our messege to spread!
