Still on my break. A lot of things have been coming up in my life recently and, if I'm being honest, my drive and passion for this has faltered.
This community needs to get it together. There is zero reason why there should be conflict all the time. If you have a problem with someone, talk to them. A valid problem. If it is something small, dare I suggest getting over it.
Remember that your words hold weight and the things you say will carry across the community, whether you intended for this or not. Think before you speak. Draft your posts. Revise. Get a second pair of eyes. But think before you spread blatant misinformation.
It is difficult to exist on this platform when there is always something wrong or getting in the way of it. I, like many others, just want to enjoy my time on the platform. I want to guide people. Why are we spending so much time attacking people for their practice? Why is it so hard to stay in your own lane?
To everyone who sees this, I encourage you to look inward at yourself. Ask yourself why. Deconstruct your beliefs and reflect on your actions and the consequences they bear. Remind yourself that words have weight, especially to those with larger platforms. You have a level of responsibility that you need to be conscious of at all times. If you cannot understand this, perhaps you don't deserve your platform.
I'm going to continue enjoying my break. I do not know when I will be back to posting on the platform.
Xaire, Altis.

Hubris is a big word to throw around for people that think they have the authority and moral highground to police people's titles. Just saying.
Just a reminder.
It is NOT your job to police people’s titles.
You do not know someone else’s relationship with their gods/deities.
You are not in charge of who and who doesn’t have a title or what they call their title. That is up to that person and their deity.
Do not demean someone for their title.
Do not call someone names for their relationship with their gods.
Do not throw the word hubris around.
Our job is to help and guide, not to police and take the higher ground.
Be kind to those in this space and around you.

Also want to add I enjoy pushing both of them just a wee bit out of their comfort zones whenever I can, in a healthy way, because that's the most effective way of moving forward in your practice in my opinion. One such example is the time Lexie offered me a tarot reading and I chose Anteros, during a time Lexie had complications with Eros. It did force her to figure out a way of making things work (as Anteros is very protective of Eros <- vpg) and she managed to figure out her complications with Eros in the process.
Hello! What does mentoring actually mean for you (as a mentor) and for your mentees, in terms of your guys' practice? I feel like mentorships are pretty uncommon in this community, so I'm a bit curious how they work
Hello, Marie!
So for me, I'm not really looking to take mentees as people that I don't know. Lexie and Cole are both people I have known for months, and really the dynamic of mentor / mentees between us has been going on for months already. They have their paths and I have mine, my only role is to encourage them along it and give my advice whenever asked. If they need help finding resources, I'll be the one they go to and it'll be my responsibility to try and find them. If they're confused or stumbling a little, I'm there to help them figure out what's going on and get them back on their feet. If they're getting carried away, I need to bring them back down to earth.
There's no authority involved from my side, and I don't take monetary gain from it (nor do I want to). It's more like being someone they can kind of lean on whenever they need it, which is something I wish I had when I was younger and figuring out my practice.

As someone within the Christian faith, there's nothing Christ-like about this person's behaviour.
Hello hello everyone, I have unfortunate news
Somebody is harassing members of the HelPol community yet again
@/repentyoursins
Has been purposely posting about how it's "not too late to be saved" and "Jesus loves us all"
And while that is totally okay to be on Christian or Christan Pagan tags, this person has been asked to stop using Hellenic Polytheist tags and refuses
please report the account for harassment, don't interact, block, and spread the word
In the end, the most important thing is that everyone here is safe and this is just one way we're able to protect our communities

Haiiii! I just recently found ur blog while doing research on Asmodeus as I’ve been wanting to start worshipping/working with him. Do you have any advice on that or know if he would be ok with that? :)
Hello hello! Really surprised that my blog comes up while doing research but also lowkey honoured because I'm really happy to help!
I can't speak on His behalf, but what I would say is that any entity that's worshippable likely wouldn't mind being worshipped. That goes for Him too x
My advice is, don't hesitate. What He did for me was He threw me in the deep end right in the beginning, which was understandably pretty scary for me and there was a period of time where I felt super lost and confused with myself. He reassured me to slow down, to pay attention, give myself time to learn. And I did, I learned that treading with the water was easier than fighting against it. I learned how deep I could go. I learned how long I could hold my breath. I learned how dark it was down there and that it's not always so dark everywhere else. Working with Him has definitely not been easy, but it's been the most rewarding.
When I started, I hesitated and backtracked a lot, because I was way too scared of jumping in. But you're never gonna realise your potential if you're waiting by the shoreline and twiddling your thumbs. Take your time, by all means, but don't hesitate because you're afraid.
I hope this helps x

Especially in this economy.
Unpopular helpol opinion. If you cannot afford to waste food that you offered to a chthonic deity(es), then eat it. Yes, if you feel the need to, cleanse yourself after, but, it is not bad, especially if you cannot afford to waste food. You do not deserve to be told you have to throw it out or be made to feel guilty about it (I have never seen anyone do this but just in case).

I find it intriguing how Asmodeus found a way to creep into almost every aspect of my life before I was even aware of it. I've mentioned His connection to Sleep Token being my #1 favourite band ever, but there's a new one I found. Ethel Cain has always been a huge comfort artist for me and my #2 favourite ever. Imagine my surprise upon discovering Hayden's forehead tattoo says Asmoday. Get out of my SKIN

Hi Vee!! I wanted to start worshiping Thanatos but I'm not really sure how to start. I've seen you worship him and I'm really curious since I haven't seen many people around who do. Thanks in advance 🫶
Hello hello Alexander!
Thanatos, personally I just started worshipping Him like any other god. My first ever offering to Him was a dead rose, and I made a point to keep it close to the floor. I live in a basement (temporarily) so that wasn't too difficult for me to do. I did that because y'know...death...burial and all...but also because I just tend to keep offerings to chthonic deities as close to the floor as possible.
I'd suggest just start like normal. I would like to add that you should make sure you're not giving Him offerings just to appease Him so you can live longer or something, but I don't think anyone is dumb enough to actually attempt that.
I would recommend worshipping Him though! He's great! You can start by looking into His myths if you haven't already, and from there, you can start leaving small offerings based on what you think He'd like or things that remind you of Him. You can write Him poems or make Him a playlist, whatever you'd like! You can even write Him letters!
I hope this helped, if you have further questions feel free to hit me again!

Understandable! I suggest going through the #christopagan or #folk catholic tags!
Hi! @ataraxiaforcoleson recommended you via DM said you could answer my question. I am a deconstructed reformed christian - now a free thinker, and want to worship other deities. Can I do the two pararelly? I'm interested in GrecoRoman polytheism and Celtic paganism.
Hiya! Always a pleasure to see my brother pop up here and there!
Sure you can, why not? There's many folk Catholics and Christopagans out there. It's all about finding your own footing and figuring out what makes most sense to you.
For me, I believe in panentheism and polytheism simultaneously. I believe everything is within G-d, and I don't see G-d as being a deity in the same sense as Anteros for example. I see G-d as the divine source of everything, in everything. I see angels as extensions of this source, and I see saints as being able to appeal to this source directly. Deities from other pantheons exist separate from this source, they would still be able to exist with or without it, but this source gave them the opportunity to interact with it. I venerate this source through a Christian lense, and I honour it first anytime I honour another deity. I still consider it "G-d the Father" while not considering it tangibly at the same time at all. I consider it to be merciful and forgiving, but I also avoid venerating it directly outside of honouring it before prayers.
I see the capital G god of extremist oppressive Christians to be a different entity entirely. You can make things work similarly, or differently. Ask yourself what makes most sense to you, and build upon that.

“recon this” “revivalist that” how about we just do what’s right for us and stop judging each other. how about that. how about as long as you’re worshipping the same gods as me we focus on that rather than the differences between our practices. how about we find the beauty in our religions diversity rather than using labels to divide us. how about focusing on unity in a world that seeks to divide anyone seen as unconventional.

Happy Hyakinthia! Remember, you can still celebrate it if you struggle with the restrictions.
People who are recovering from EDs and are too afraid of relapsing can still celebrate Hyakinthia.
People who have ARFID or any other reason that means they can only eat specific types of food, and those foods happen to have wheat or sugar can still celebrate Hyakinthia.
People who cannot say no to what their parents give them for food can still celebrate Hyakinthia.
People who cannot go out and buy different food can still celebrate Hyakinthia.
It's the sentiment behind the restrictions that matters. Praise Apollon.

Hi!! I saw your post about being in training and I wanted to ask what exactly it entails (only if you're comfortable sharing ofc)
HIII OMG I PREDICITED ID GET THIS QUESTION TODAY!! training can mean SO many things! these again are just my experiences so feel free to ask @edensvessel , @altis-of-olympia and @wingsofaphrodite for a wider range of answers!
for me training has been a lot of self development! (post coming up later) the first step really for me and what i think for most people was to figure out what why and how. theyre your fundamentals. not going to lie its TERRIFYING, or is for me, thinking about becoming a priestess but the good kind! for my fundamentals i want to become a priestess to truely worship apollo Boedromios. to keep his festivals, practice and worship the best i can through my practice! the second reason is linking to the epithet! Boedromios roughly translates to helper in distress and i want to help people helpol or not navigate through life with heart to heart talks. as people, not parading my title but helping in apollos honor with how hed like me to do it. now why would i do this for myself? why dedicate so much time effort and pain (from the emotional enlightenment only /j) into this? because apollo feels like the fuel of life, simple answer. be ready to be analyzed basically. the second is the research, what happened with the epithet your following in antiquity, what is and was the role of a priest? what are the different types of hellenic priests? this is the obvious part. you cant claim to be something as massive as a priest without understanding the depth of the title. this seems like the boring part but for me its been not only life changing but so fueling to! its like a light in the dark and helps confirm that im not crazy and also im not going to struggle doing a freaking holiday linked to apollo. the third id say is identity, did i cover this? maybe? well its important. being a priestess is a two way title, yes its a lot about apollo but its also about me too. if i struggled like the way i was in the beginning and didnt learn how to overcome it i dont think apollo would of kept going. absolutely, you can have mental health issues and be a priestx. most of the priestx i know have mental health issues! but its knowing who you are, growing and developing with your god. the first point was about both, this point is all about the priest. your going to have to learn how to take breaks and understand your not less than. just to clarify, i am NOT divine authority. i cant dictate your practice. I LOVE QUESTIONS THANK YOU SO MUCH SORRY FOR THE RAMBLE!! any more questions about my practice and my training im so open for them!! come learn with me :D!!
