I think signs from the Gods are such a funny thing for me, because the signs I get from some of them completely contradict who I am.

The day that I realized Lord Apollon wanted to work with me it was supposed to be a thunder storm, an 80% chance. But when I woke up it was bright and sunny, the sunlight blasting through my window despite my black out curtains. Birds were chirping and I could feel the warmth, the smell of flowers starting to bloom.

Thing is, I hate the sunlight. I live in the middle of the desert, even if it's the dead of winter it never seems to go below 30°F, and even at that low the sun is so bright. I get overstimulated and uncomfortable in the heat and would honestly prefer if it was snowing 24/7.

I know the reasons I resonate with Lord Apollon. I'm very artistic, I play the flute, the piano, the ukulele, I'm a choir kid at heart. I love nature. I have a special interest in snakes, I absolutely lose my mind over cows, mice/rats, wolves, foxes. I would love to learn archery and have always been interested in it.

Signs don't always show why they want to work with you, I suppose is my point.

lord apollo,

raise my spirits like those that passed on rise to the great heavens.

warm my soul like the rays of the sun on a warm summer day.

sooth me like the sweet taste of vanilla mixed into a mug of milk and honey.

i know you're around,

the buzz of bees on sunflowers,

hawks soaring far above,

that one song that just warms my heart,

a cheerful child giving me a tight hug.

i love you, for all the gifts and greatness you are.

i love you as i love a cool breeze on a hot summer day,

the aesthetic of life itself.

Okay, but like, what is stopping any one of us from just, building a temple to one or more of the gods? Other than the obvious lack of funds/space/resources? Are there like, special religious requirements one must meet in order to build one?

All this to say, I really really really want to build a temple to Apollon (all the gods really, but especially Apollon). It's been on my mind a lot lately. Unfortunately, I am broke.

just slowly came to the realization that lord Apollon has been that one deity that just kinda appeared in my life over a few years. and i don't remember when it started, but it gives me so much comfort knowing that i have indeed had someone watching over me even when my memory hadn't been the best to acknowledge it.
