Anytime I see people talk about Bethany like "Oh Bethany the pushover" / "having her as your living sibling is SO much less interesting than Carver" I wanna start throwing rocks.

This girl grew up as an apostate mage constantly under the fear that her very existence put her family in danger, her own twin NEVER let her forget it (and it wasn't even out of malice; Carver was WORRIED for her), and then she has to watch helplessly while her twin gets reduced to a fine paste while you're trying to find SOMEwhere to be safe, only to find hell on earth, an uncle who resents you, and a city that treats mages even worse than you've been told like. The fact that Bethany acts so calm sometimes is a testament to her sheer resilience but you see flashes of it in dialogue depending on your choices.

"Oh Carver is so much more interesting because there's actually conflict with him" STOP THAT it's just a different type of conflict. Carver has the luxury of letting his anger be external. Doesn't make EITHER of them less interesting, it's just a different facet of the same gemstone.

It's always funny to me to see the take that's like "UGH I don't understand how someone could possibly think Garrus is the OLDER brother he acts like such a LITTLE brother" and as someone who is the younger sibling to an older brother let me tell you, he has SUCH big brother energy too.

It's all gonna depend on someone's relationship to their family. He acts just like my big brother sometimes, so I always write him as older than Solana. Simple as that.
