harrowhark nonagesimus is the character of all time. she's 3'6 and made of soggy pipe cleaners and will hiss at anyone who gets too close to her and yet she is almost universally beloved. palamedes sextus is like this is my best friend and my special guy. ianthe tridentarius is like i WILL marry this nasty smelly woman. gideon nav devoted her soul and body to her after hating her for 17 slutty, slutty years. god himself was like you are the wildest and saddest bitch i've ever met and you are a daughter to me. and harrowhark is just sitting there with 3/4 of a brain and vomit on her robe

When I tell you I just spat my tea...
In the original draft of Gideon, Harrow doesn’t say ‘Oh, I have hurt your heart,’ she says ‘Oh, I have rustled your jimmies.’ She says that purely because that’s what my brain thrust into my hand and I liked the way it sounded. Carl said, ‘You can’t put that in a novel’ […]

We deserve lesbian space necromancers. We can wait for the romance.
I hate seeing negative reviews of GtN saying there wasn’t enough romance. I said “lesbian necromancers in space” not “lesbian necromancers FUCKING in space.”

I changed my mind i do have a question. So im a writer (like sam in your story) but i find it hard to begin a story, what do you suggest i do?
I don’t know how long ago you asked this. I’m sorry if it was a million years ago. I’m notoriously horrible at checking tumblr. If you’re finding it hard to begin your story, trying plotting it out in advance. Start with chapter one and outline the beginning, middle and end. Then write! Don’t worry about the writing being perfect at first, it won’t be! Let your rough draft be rough! Then after you’re finished the story you can go back and fix errors and polish the story! =) Hope this helps!

Hello everyone! Blue here, and welcome to the next stop on this FROST Blog Tour 2015! I’m super excited - and could not be happier - about the release of FROST, it’s a great story with amazing everything! I’ve been reading it ever since I’ve had a Wattpad account; I feel as though I’ve grown up with FROST. The story has touched me and provided me with an immense amount of joy 😄 . So I hope it will give you the same and more. Do check it out! [Links at the end of the post.] Anyway I’ve blabbed on long enough, I’ll let Erin take it away from here [All those pictures look so cool *_* Click on them to see captions :)] 😃 Enjoy!

The very best thing about Pinterest is using the site for writing inspiration. With it, I can take myself on a tour around the ice castle in FROST, or dream up the wild outfits that the people of the court are wearing.
Here’s a short preview of the board, and a link to the rest. It has a great “winter queen” vibe that can inspire so much just by looking at it.
Don’t forget to check out the rest of the Winter Queen Pinterest Board over here:

Sometimes you stumble on someone who's just this little Easter egg of unpleasantness. And in a familiar "safe" place, somewhere you least expect it. Like when you were a kid and you discovered the hard way, that some stupid cat had been using your sandbox as a litter box. But instead of cat turds, it's a gun-toting, white-is-right, victim blaming jerk-face in your sandbox.

Introducing Your 2015 July Camp NaNoWriMo Guides

Camp is always better with a buddy. This July, we’ve asked seven YouTubers to document their progress during Camp. They’ll share the lessons they’ve learned, the advice they wish they’d gotten, and the encouragement and solidarity that comes from writing alongside thousands of people around the world!
Make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel to keep up with your fellow Camp writers, including:
Brista Drake has a passion for writing; her first book, Remedy for Memory, is published now, and she hopes to produce many more. She is currently enrolled to attend university in the fall, for creative writing and art. Follow her writing journey on her YouTube channel, WritingMime, where she talks about book editing and writing. Let’s get started; those words don’t write themselves, ya’ know!
Cherie M. is an eighteen-year-old girl who is constantly thinking about books, reading books, making videos about books, and writing books. She has participated in NaNoWriMo and Camp NaNoWriMo, and won both times. She loves traveling, daydreaming, and has a severe cereal obsession. She is also studying Korean. Cherie’s YouTube channel can be summed up in two words: books and writing! Her channel is all about discussing good books (and some bad books) and tips for writing good books (and not bad books).
The WordNerds ramble about writing, publishing and all things YA books! They have daily vlogs about all the bookish topics, and every Sunday at 7:30pm EST all six of the WordNerds do a Hangout On Air where they answer live questions from their viewers. If you love books, then you’re their people! You can subscribe to the WordNerds here. The WordNerds include:

What do you ASPIRE to?
What do you ASPIRE to? A thigh gap?
I just think it's such a damn shame to see girls doing this to themselves. We've come so far over the last hundred years. Women weren't allowed to own property, attend college, drive cars or vote. We were objects, trophies, slaves. Take your pick.
And now SO much is open to us. We can be doctors, biologists, engineers, brain surgeons. Hell, you could run for president. Fifty years ago we thought a black president was impossible, there will be a woman president some day. In time.
Woman can ASPIRE to do great things. To create BEAUTY, paint a picture, conduct a symphony, write an epic book. DISCOVER the next great thing, a new species, a medical breakthrough, an uncharted territory. CREATE CHANGE in this world, fight for freedom, march for equal rights, feed starving people, give the homeless shelter.
Instead? We're ASPIRING to THIS? To be skinny? We’re too busy pouring hundreds of hours of our lives into an obsession with having the perfect thigh gap?
Ladies, we’re better than this.
