So if a white congressperson visited a college campus and said “we should not tolerate Islamophobia or bigotry for Muslim students, whether they are pro-terrorism or anti-terrorism,” you’d be fine with that?
I’m not even going to bother addressing the Jewish/antisemitism stuff without knowing if you’re Jewish - are you, btw? - except to say that being Jewish can absolutely be a choice. What do you think Jewish converts are?
“…….we should not have to tolerate antisemitism or bigotry for all Jewish students, whether they are pro-genocide or anti-genocide.”
- Sitting Congressperson Ilhan Omar
Next time anyone insists “the protests can’t be antisemitic, there are Jews involved,” remember that we have a sitting congressperson putting a target on the backs of all Jewish students who aren’t. A full grown adult member of congress is putting a target on the backs of young people her daughter’s age.
I really shouldn’t have to be explaining why it’s antisemitic to say that any Jew who doesn’t identify themselves as part of one particular group is “pro-genocide.” I really shouldn’t have to explain why it’s so insidious to say “antisemitism is wrong, no matter how genocidal so many Jews are 🥰” She knows exactly what she’s doing. The only question is, do they?

The Jewish definition of Zionism is very different than the popular definition of Zionism. For Jews, Zionism has its roots in a 3,000 year old tradition of wishing to return to our homeland. I would argue that while the political Zionist movement is not integral to Judaism, Zionism, by its Jewish definition is. You do not have Judaism without Israel. Jews traditionally call themselves and the land they come from Israel.
To be a Jew and call yourself antizionist, you must necessarily isolate yourself from your community. You believe that your community has been brainwashed en masse by “Zionism.” You stop going to community events because they’re too “Zionist.” You try to create your own way to mark Judaism without Israel but it falls flat and meaningless, breaking from the tradition of thousands of years of ancestors who yearned for Zion and who each slowly helped create Judaism as we know it today. You either have to be in denial about harm to your community or you have to accept it on some level. You have to be okay with throwing the majority of your own people under the bus, and definitely at least all Israelis. You have to deal with people who tell you your own history with half truths, who know nothing about your culture and have no respect for it.
I called myself antizionist for several years as a teenager, and this coincided with a complete removal from my community and a stark stop to my education about Jewish history and peoplehood. When I re-engaged, the more I learned about Judaism and Jewish history the more “Zionist” (in the Jewish sense not the popular political sense) I became. Within a few months of actually dealing with antizionist activists, I stopped calling myself an antizionist, because I realized very quickly that I was being tokenized and that for all the people around me claimed to know, they were deeply ignorant about anything to do with my culture and people. When I left my on campus group they replaced me with another token Jew almost immediately. When he fucked off they found another one, whom they weaponized against my campus Jewish community to try and evict our Jewish student centre.
So don’t you dare talk to me about the Jews in the encampment protests. Just don’t.

Huh. Now that seems like kind of an important detail to know about.
It’s maddening to find out that the scholar who first developed the idea that “Zionism is Settler Colonialism”, Fayez Sayegh, was a member of the Syrian Nazi Party during and immediately after the Holocaust, was an active participant in the Red Scare, using it to demonize Israel as a manifestation of a Global Communist Threat™️ through the height of the Cold War (true to his Nazi roots, accusing Israel of Judeo-Bolshevism) before switching to a Colonialism narrative when Post-Colonialism came in vogue in the 60s. And yet, the people I hear parroting the talking points of this anti-Communist, Ultranationalist Fascist-turned-scholar are the people who are constantly talking about how Liberal Progressives aren’t Communist enough and actually enemies because “Liberals will always side with Fascists”. Maddening.
If you’ve ever noticed how the “Zionism = Settler Colonialism” narrative eerily shares the core components of the far right’s Replacement Theory (that there are 1. Jews 2. conspiring to invade a given place and 3. replace the population with Jews), this is why; it’s because the idea that Zionism is Settler Colonialism came from a literal Nazi.
It is very literally Nazi propaganda.

Seeing that many people just flat out saying that terrorists shouldn’t release hostages….there are no words for the level of insanity that’s been normalized. Like, saying terrorists shouldn’t have to release the civilian baby hostages they kidnapped, is a thing that’s normal now. That’s considered a mainstream view in leftist circles. Wow.
Also, it doesn’t matter if a bunch of other people said yes. The fact that this many people said no on camera says it all.
And that one guy, “Hamas has been treated with hostility.” Sure, Hamas is just misunderstood. They just want to get along but everyone is being so mean to them. Meanwhile, they would never take into account how Israel has been treated with hostility.

I am at a loss for words.
A Jewish woman in Paris was kidnapped, held for several days, and raped for being a Jew, and her mother was psychologically taunted and tormented, as "revenge for Palestine."
Tumblr media
And while the perpetrator is the main person responsible for this horrific crime, every single person denying or justifying the Oct 7 sexual violence is guilty of contributing to this normalization, making this antisemitic terrorist think his excuse is in any way an acceptable justification for this atrocity. Every single person who didn't believe Jewish victims, every single person who demanded proof, but turned a blind eye to the visual evidence Hamas terrorists themselves provided, every single person who called the films and pictures and testimonies from countless Israelis "propaganda," every single person who justified it and claimed that "rape is resistance." They're all complicit. They all have to know they've helped make Jews everywhere in the world less safe.
Tumblr media
Speaking of complicity, even though a UN report found credible evidence for the sexual crimes committed by Hamas on Oct 7 and against Israeli hostages since, the UN secretary general, Antonio Guterres, has personally decided to leave Hamas out of the annual report on sexual violence in conflicts around the world. Israeli commentators expressed their belief that this was done, because had it been included, then the UN would have no choice but to finally recognize that Hamas is a terrorist organization. The UN is complicit. Guterres is complicit. Hold them accountable.
Tumblr media
Speaking of the UN's known anti-Israel bias, what a surprise, their report on UNRWA, their own agency, claimed not to support the charges against it, though they did find that UNRWA has "some issues" maintaining its neutrality...
Tumblr media
Just to make it clear, "staff publicly taking sides" refers to UNRWA employees being openly anti-Israel, antisemitic and pro anti-Jewish violence, and the "problematic content" in UNRWA textbooks is incitement to terrorism and educating Palestinian kids to be antisemitic. This alone constitutes more than "some issues with neutrality." But there's more. Out of the 12 Gaza UNRWA employees first identified by Israel as having participated in the Hamas massacre, at least three were killed inside Israel on Oct 7 itself, and at least one more was captured on film while helping to kidnap an Israeli young man's body from an Israeli kibbutz into Gaza using a vehicle with UN license plates. I'd say that's a bit more than "difficulties with neutrality". In fact, the UN itself implicitly recognized the evidence was damning, or it would not have fired nine of the twelve right away, and admit a tenth UN worker was dead following the invasion and attack on Israeli communities, while claiming they're still "clarifying" the identities of the other two killed employees who participated in the Hamas massacre. BTW, it's been about 3 months of the UN "clarifying" the identities of those other two dead employees (screenshot below is from the article published 2 days ago, link with same claim on "clarification" is from Jan 27).
Tumblr media
UNRWA is complicit. There are other humanitarian aid NGOs, which can do better. Dismantle UNRWA. But we know the UN will not be dismantling the cash cow that this agency is, even though no other refugee group gets an equal treatment to that. At what point do we say out loud, that if more and more UNRWA employees are found to be complicit in a massacre or being embedded with Hamas, if Hamas terrorists have continuously used UNRWA infrastructure to store weapons and shoot at Israelis, if UNRWA was found to be providing a terrorist organization with internet and electricity, and if the UN can't hold its own agency accountable, then the UN is also complicit in UNRWA's collaboration with Hamas?
In Israel itself, as the biggest Jewish community in the world is celebrating Passover, attacks on Israeli Jews continue.
Two days ago, on the Eve of Passover, a combined terrorist attack took place in Jerusalem, in an ultraorthodox neighborhood, with two Palestinian terrorists driving their car into a group of visibly Jewish young people, then the attackers left their car and tried shooting at their victims, but the weapon thankfully malfunctioned. Three people were lightly wounded. (the vid below shows most of the attack, but not the graphic parts of the car hitting the young Jewish men)
youtube
Yestrday, the Lebanon-based terrorist organization Hezbollah launched three suicide drones at Israel's northern communities, along its Mediterranean shore. This attack comes on the heels of the news that out of 18 Israelis wounded in a previous Hezbollah drone attack on an Israeli Arab Bedouin town, one has died from his injuries, after fighting for his life for 5 days. It's 27 years old Dor Zimel, an officer who was stationed in that town to protect it. Dor was set to get married next month, and he had proposed to his fiancee with a ring donated by a bereaved father (his son, 23 years old Addir Messika, was a jewelry designer, and the ring was one he designed before he was murdered by Hamas terrorists at the Nova music festival on Oct 7). Dor's organs were donated and saved the lives of 7 people, including an injured soldier, who's also the father of a girl. May Dor and Addir's memory be a blessing.
Tumblr media
And today, on the second day of Passover, an attempted stabbing attack was stopped before the Palestinian female terrorist managed to harm anyone. She was neutralized at the scene.
Tumblr media
I'm sure all those who decried Israel having to continue its war against Hamas during Ramadan are being extra loud about this wave of anti-Jewish violence during Passover, which is actually just a partial list of the on going attacks on Israeli Jews during this holiday.
In other news, the preparations for the IDF's ground operation in Rafah have actually already started. Reports suggest 250,000 Palestinians who have come to the southern city as they left other war zones in Gaza, have already left Rafah, and that Israel has already started building encampments to house those it will evacuate from the city before the ground operation begins.
Tumblr media
Trying to remember when have I ever seen an army building an entire camp city for the enemy's civilian population. I'm coming up blank.
This is Miri Gad Mesikka.
Tumblr media
She lives in kibbutz Be'eri, together with her husband Eli and their 3 kids. On Oct 7, they locked themselves in the bomb shelter from the invading Hamas terrorists. They were in there for 12 hours, fighting for control of the bomb shelter's door, until the terrorists set their house on fire, and the Gad Messika family had to make an impossible choice: stay and maybe suffocate to death from the smoke (or worse if the fire got in), or jump from their second floor window, probably be injured and maybe be shot to death by the terrorists. Eventually, they chose to jump out. They all got injured, and one of her sons got his leg broken, but the terrorists didn't spot them, and this decision saved their lives. During the time they were locked inside the bomb shelter, Miri recounts how she would see some of her friends and neighbors not responding anymore, and she couldn't know why. She kept hoping it was because their phone batteries ran out. "Today I know some of them were being kidnapped, while others were being murdered. It was a massacre, happening in countless different spots at the same time." One of her friends told Miri, that her daughter, a baby who was less than one years old, was shot in the head right in front of her. Then the friend's husband was murdered as well, and despite being shot with a bullet in her lungs herself, the friend somehow managed to get herself and her two other kids away.
Never forget.

I’ve seen a lot of posts from fellow Jews about how hard it feels to observe Pesach this year, how it even feels wrong while there are Jews being held in captivity right now.
I would argue that’s the very point of Pesach, and observing it has never been more appropriate than it is now.
The first Seder was not a celebration of a victory already won. The first Seder was held by the Jews while we were still in Egypt, while we were all still enslaved, huddled inside with lambs blood on our doorposts. We were anticipating imminent departure from Egypt, but it hadn’t happened yet and we had no way of knowing if it would.
Pesach is not an after-the-fact celebration of finally being out of danger. The origin of the Seder is a deliberately premature celebration, a demonstration that we have so much faith in G-d saving us that we act as if it’s already happened.
We don’t have the Seder because we are finally free. We have the Seder as a show of faith that we will be, no matter how unlikely it seems.

Due to a protest at my college, Hillel had to move tonight’s Seder to a secret location and have barred last-minute registrations.
I signed up in time to go, but I’m disappointed that some people who want to go may not be able to. I really wish this was an event that could be more open to students who may have been on the fence about going.
The fact that Hillel has to hide the location of a Passover Seder is horrifying to me.

a lot of the lgbtq+ spaces I used to frequent and orgs I used to support have been posting antisemitic content and hamas apologia. it’s starting to hit me that I’m queer and I’m not going to have a community for pride because I’m not a good enough Jew. I don’t know how to mourn that.

This really shouldn’t seem controversial when you remember that this is exactly how the “punch Nazis” leftist goyim always claimed they would treat Nazis; always insisted that these exact tactics were necessary. But many of these same leftists - the “chase Nazis out of public spaces/ACAB/become ungovernable” leftists will balk at this. Because non-Jews cosplaying saving Jews from Nazis is far more palatable than Jews saving ourselves. Especially Jews saving ourselves from you.
Jews are never supposed to save ourselves. We’re supposed to quietly and meekly wait for saintly non-Jews to save us. And for most of history we had no choice because WE DIDN’T HAVE OUR OWN COUNTRY. But even now that we do, we’ve still tried begging you to save us. For the past six months we have been begging the non-Jewish global majority, the people and the nations that made us such a tiny minority in the first place, to save us. Which sounds pretty absurd once I put it that way. And sure enough, our appeals have been beyond futile.
So it’s time to start curb stomping antisemites. And the same goyim who are furious when Jews ask to be saved, are going to be furious when we save ourselves and stop asking them for anything. It’s almost like they’re angry at us no matter what we do. But their anger is nothing compared to ours. Their anger that they haven’t succeeded in killing us is nothing compared to our anger at them for CONSTANTLY TRYING TO KILL US. They can’t even begin to comprehend how angry the Jews are now. They might, if they admitted that their own rhetoric of “oppressed/ethnically cleansed people have the right to be angry” applies to Jews. But they won’t. We’ve tried asking them for that too.
But it’s not even about anger or a desire for vengeance. It’s just about survival. The non-Jewish world has shown us that we have no choice but to adopt the attitude in the above post, because anything short of that has gotten us killed over and over and over.
So if you won’t stop killing us, we will make you stop killing us. It’s that simple. Antisemites better watch their fucking step.
HURT - DON'T HEAL THE ANTISEMITE
Tumblr media
The attempt to disabuse the world of antisemitism has been a monumental failure.
Despite decades of educational outreach things are the worst they’ve ever been.
The hatred against us is at fever pitch and from multiple fronts.
The alleged gains that have been made teaching the world about the Holocaust and antisemitism have not been worth the investment of time, energy and resources.
The facts speak for themself.
We are in the most precarious position any of us have ever experienced, with most of us wondering where our future lies.
To increase our safety we need a new approach.
This new approach requires us to stop projecting our Jewish belief in education onto the world. We need to stop expecting the world to react in the same way we do to the facts, reason and appeals for compassion we present. We need to stop assuming antisemites are simply ignorant and must confront the truth that they simply hate us and that they enjoy hating us.
We need to make this a less enjoyable pastime for them.
The future of Jewish safety is not in teaching the world to be better people - but in teaching them to watch their step. We need to stop attempting to teach our haters to be nice to us, but rather teach them there’s a cost to their transgressions. Putting it bluntly: we need to teach the world that we will fuck up anyone who tries to hurt us. That is the lesson we need to be pushing. It matters not one jot that they know where antisemitism leads for the Jews. We need to show them where antisemitism leads for them, the perpetrators of antisemitism. They don’t need to know what happened to the Jews in Auschwitz so much as they need to know what happened to the Nazis. They need to know the Nazis got fucked up, killed and destroyed. They need to know that Germany got levelled, destroyed and went up in flames. They need to know that German bodies and minds got broken beyond recognition. Antisemites need to know what happens to the antisemite - not the Jew. And we need to show them.
Those who attempt to kill us must be neutralised - and perpetrators of antisemitic speech and action need to have their lives attacked and diminished so that they experience the greatest personal cost we can extract. They need to suffer consequences to their reputations and their livelihoods. They must be shamed, exposed, humiliated, damaged and degraded. They must experience emotional and mental discomfort. The law must be used to punish them. They must lose their freedom if applicable. Whatever means is available to hurt them should be used to the fullest extent. Their suffering must be harsh and without pity and serve as a deterrent to others. If others don’t pay heed to that deterrent - then they must also suffer. And it must be without pity.
Do we risk antisemites not liking us?
They already hate us.
Now let them fear us.
And some of you must stop this narcissistic impulse to want to redeem your abusers. This has nothing to with making the world better. It’s about satisfying your saviour complex and making you feel self-righteous. Stop prioritising your abusers. That in itself is a symptom of the abuse you’ve experienced. You have every right to prioritise yourself. Your abuser has not earned a right to your ongoing time and energy.
Furthermore, trying to generate a couple of feel good stories about an antisemite turned good is an inefficient use of our resources - something we can ill afford when so many active enemies must be thwarted.
It also sends the wrong message. There is no deterrent if they know abusing us is a revolving door that offers them automatic reputational rehabilitation.
Let’s hurt our haters and move on.
Let it be seen they have been hurt.
We need to stop educating people to like us. We need to teach them to fear us. We need to show them we are mean, nasty and will inflict pain without remorse.
We need to hurt antisemites - not heal them.
Do some of you feel a little anxious hearing this kind of talk?
Does a Jew being aggressive and spiteful make you feel uncomfortable and anxious?
Good.
That’s how our enemies should feel.
Maybe then they’ll think twice about fucking with us.
