hey, I read your fic Ill Intentions on AO3 a while ago and I think in the author's notes you mentioned that you had a watch like Will's and I was just wondering what the name of that watch is because I have Aspergers and I thought a watch like that could be really helpful because I also forget to eat and drink water and go outside and take meds so if you could help me that would be really nice. sorry to bother you

Hello! You’re not a bother at all. I apologize for what is more than likely a very late response.

I do have a watch much like the one that Will wore in Ill Intentions. I think that the one I referred to at the time was the Samsung Gear, and it was really helpful for me! Now, I have the Samsung Galaxy watch, and it’s even better. You can type reminders and time them in the app on the phone. For my personal struggles with OCD, this is both a blessing and a curse, but for my forgetful nature when I’m in a depressed state, this is a needed relief when I accidentally go days without eating.

I hope you’ve found a watch like this, and if so that it’s been a help to you!

I just finished WtWW and in case I end up not being able to sort through all my thoughts about it for a proper comment on Ao3 or chickening out later, I'll just say quickly: Thank you for the multiple POVs, a morally grey Will that isn't completely dark, a badass Will with agency that doesn't submit to Hannibal or the soulmate bond, and a Will that has genuine relationships with characters besides Hannibal (particularly Jack) that feel just as, if not more important to the story than Hannigram.

Thank you so very, very much! Where the Wicked Walk was a story that took me by surprise. I only meant the multi-pov to be a lightly peppered thing, but as I outlined and the story unfolded, it became so much more! I really like how variables of chaos change things. Will having a relationship with Jack that Hannibal didn’t know about/therefore couldn’t isolate him and control him as easily--just what are “good” people willing to do to protect the people they love? Just how easily is to to empathize with “bad” people and see your own flaws within them? Will is a fluid character, for sure, but honestly, it’s amazing how circumstances will change anyone’s morals if they are bad enough. What’s that one videogame say? “Don’t ever trust a survivor until you know what they’ve done to survive.”

Patreon Anniversary and an Emerging of Existence.

Wow…it’s so weird to think that all of this started three years ago. I’ve always talked about writing being the outlet to all of the weird things going on in my head, and when I find things that inspire it, there’s no telling where it will go.

That’s the fun part!

Fannibals and friends, I hope this year hasn’t been too hard on you. The world is hurting, and I hope that words (either written by you or enjoyed by you) have been the comfort that you’ve needed. Reading and the worlds within books have always been my escape, the thing that saw me through difficult times. We ourselves can be made into dragons with the right turn of phrase.

I know that it’s been a long, long time since I’ve posted anything. In reality, that’s what’s always held me back from ever trying to get serious with my writing. Mental illness likes to give inspiration with an ebb and flow that sometimes can be brutal when all you want to do is write. This year has been especially difficult. Perfect 2020 bullshit: trying to post my Patreon Anniversary post on my patreon page isn’t working because the site is down. Hah. I will keep trying. My poor Patrons deserve better than me I swear, lmao.

I was surprised when, out of the blue, there was a sudden surge of people reading my old works! I saw comments and new follows and was a little confused because I can be pretty out of touch sometimes. Then I saw Netflix snapped up Hannibal, and man, there could be good things coming for the fandom. With that, I say, “Welcome!” Thank you guys so much for the kind messages, and I’m so thankful and glad that you liked my stories. Those words truly mean more to a writer than many will ever know.

Some of you may have wandered over and read an update on my Patreon that said I was stepping back from writing in the Hannibal fandom. Honestly, life seems to only get busier. For as much fun as I’ve had writing these worlds and au’s, those of you that are still here from the Tumblr-purging may recall that I’ve always just written what inspires me. Really getting to know people in the fandom, meeting so many wonderful creators and kind people from all over the world that had a passion for the very same things I did really fueled that, too! I have had as much fun building my original worlds and au’s as I’ve had writing in the Hannibal universe. Melding them was awesome. 

Now, though, I’m more inspired to place my own characters there. Some stories have debuted my OC’s as side characters, and when some of y’all commented that you really enjoyed them, it really gave me hope for what that means for my future works.

I don’t know what that means for me here on Tumblr. A lot of my amazing mutuals have left because a lot of their work suddenly was banned from this site (although I still get porn bots, so...whatever.) I’m definitely still a fannibal and am waiting for a Season 4. I didn’t want to just leave this as a phantom, un-updated webpage, either though. I’m slowly working to correct that.

For now, though, I want to work on the writing that I’d loved to have published one day! Please don’t feel pressure, but if you wanted to support me working on that dream, I’m currently outlining/working on revising the pay tiers to reflect the change of what it is I’m posting there. This next year, I really want to write like my life depends on it. (:

Regardless, I don’t think I’ll delete this Tumblr, but I’m not very active on it. I have some really fun fandom stuff on it, and maybe if something else grabs me as violently as other fandom things have, I’ll come back. I’m going to respond to these anons, but I’m not sure how old they are. If yours was one that has gone long ignored, I apologize immensely.

My friend asked how I learned to cook and the answer is I didn't. I know like 5 things about cooking and they are:

Always use more garlic than the recipe calls for

"Ehhh fuck it close enough" is a great measurement tool

Find like 5 recipes that you like, adjust them how you like them, make them until you hate them

Clean as you go

If a recipe is from a mommy blog, you will need more spices

Found this really good thread on twitter explaining what exactly is happening in Australia right now, because I haven’t seen much on Tumblr.

And because I don’t think the thread touched on it, when Scott Morrison, our PM finally did visit the affected areas he forced the residents to shake his hand (literally forced, he grabbed a woman’s hand even though she said no) and then walked away when they tried to talk about the situation and ask for help.  Google his name and you’ll find videos.
