The State of AO3 and My Fics

Hi all!

I'm working on answering asks on here with some writing drabbles and such so apologies for the silence. I wanted to announce that sadly, since someone decided to scrap public works on ao3 that they do not own, that Yours Truly and my other Hazbin fics have been illegally uploaded to train ai models. Right now ao3 is working on getting the data deleted. Unfortunately, one of the few protections authors have against this happening again is locking their fics to ao3 users only. I don't want to do that and exclude my guest readers, but with no other protections, this is sadly what I'm going to have to do until ao3 can guarantee that this doesn't happen again.

This means you'll need an ao3 account to read my works from now on.

I'm so sorry to my guest users. I really encourage you to make an account since I know many authors who are doing this now. I love and appreciate every single person who reads, so I really apologize that I have to do this. Authors, I also encourage you to do this yourself to protect your work from being used for ai in the future. Fuck ai and fuck those who steal from creatives to train it. Sorry y'all. Someone had to go and ruin it for everyone.

Wild wakes to find Mini curled into a small ball by his side and someone growling softly. He pries open an eye to look over the camp. Sky is still asleep. Time, however, is wide awake and sitting up. He’s using the pile of pinecones Hyrule and Lorule collected and is tossing them at Warriors.

Another pings off the delta’s head, drawing another growl. “Time, what do you want.” It’s more a hiss than a question.

“You should wake up the others.” Time is far too alert for pre-dawn; maybe from living on a ranch.

“You’re beta, you do it!” Warriors burrows further into his blanket.

Time throws another pinecone, catching it in his hair.

“Fine! I’m up!” Warriors yanks back his blanket and flashes a fang at Time. “Now, what’s so important you can’t do it?”

Time blinks at him. “I’m tired.” Then he lays down and rolls up in his bedding.

Warriors is left spluttering and snapping at the air, before devolving into death threats that slowly fade into silence. Time doesn’t move.

Wild watches the interaction, curious as to what relationship is between the delta and beta. Warriors does go and wake the others, collecting the tossed pinecones as he goes.

Meeting Wild’s eyes, which are open, he bypasses the alphas and walks over to Time. The armful of pinecones is dumped on his head. Time sits up and flashes a fang, which Warriors ignores as he stalks back to his bed.

I'm sorry for the messy posts from two weeks ago. I cleaned it up. Been going through a severe grieving period that's been lasting for nearly a year. Some days are better, and other days I feel like giving up. Something something "grief is love with nowhere to go." I'm trying to let it go and move on. I've been hurt badly, so I tend to get really irritable or suspicious of anyone trying to get close to me anymore. Not a great thing, as I already feel isolated enough as it is. But I'm healing from the pain and trying to let other people in a little at a time. I'm trying to stay alive for my cats, and for my characters, and for the people who actually do want me to live. I'm sorry if you sent me a message and I haven't replied yet. I'll get to you soon. And to those anons who mentioned having BPD, thank you for reaching out. I would actually love to talk to other BPD folks and get support.

Hello my beautiful cinnamon buns,

First off im not really sure if anyone uses tumblr anymore lol. But I wanted to give my love to everyone who’s stuck with me 😭😭😭 I love you sm.

Second I want to address what’s happening with Chaos Theory and Young Gods. I’m not going to lie; I was plagued with writers block for months and wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. So I swapped my uni course from veterinary medicine to literature and creative writing which has helped me immensely and it’s something I really enjoy!

Then my dog died and I got diagnosed with a rare disease after a two year rollercoaster of endless specialist appointments, blood tests, biopsies, ED visits and procedures ✌️so that was fun.

The new diagnoses meant I have spent a lot of time resting and My new uni course has kind of steered me in a new direction and I can’t help but notice how cringe my writing used to be 💀 like you guys deserve so much better than the cringe shit I used to write lol.

So anyway all this is to say that I have not given up on my two WIPS. I’ve kind of got an idea of what I want with Chaos Theory but it’s just a matter of writing it. I’m also not sure if I should start in Year 3 or Year 4 because I’ve got ideas for both. As for young gods I haven’t given up on that either. That’s all I can say for that lol.
