Greetings to anyone who is still following me! :) (Yes why hello there, you must be lost.) It must be about that time again, because I am hosting another rp event. I just wanted to extend the invitation to any of the Skyrim rp blogs out there. You’re welcome to join even if we’ve never done an rp, and you’re even welcome to invite your friends (you don’t have to be following me to join). All the information that you’ll need is below:
Who: Anyone who would be interested is welcome to sign up. You will need to have a character that works with the Skyrim canon.
What: The next great Skyrim RP event. You'll be going caving this time, so pack your bags. :)
Where: In a Skype group as always. The chat logs will be saved in Skype and might be uploaded to a google docs if it's helpful. As usual, the event will be text-based so put on your writer's cap and get ready for a journey.
When: Signups end May 19th and we'll hopefully start by May 20th. The event is expected to run until the first week of June, with a session most days, some days we might take off.
Why: This time around I really wanted to try to recapture the magic of the first island event. That said, I don't just want this to be a reskin of it, so for any veterans of previous events expect something familiar and something new.
How: Just send me a message in my inbox saying that you are interested, and I’ll send you any Skype info that you’ll need. Hoping to see you there. :)

Archive Announcement
Hello everyone! :) It has been a while, and I think that this post is long overdue. I am going to officially archive this blog, along with marvelousmenagerie. (Almost forgot about that one.) Between college, summer jobs, and the few weeks that I have off each year it just doesn’t seem like I ever have the time to get back into this.
That said, this post doesn’t mean that I will be completely disappearing off the face of the earth. In fact, not a whole lot will be changing from two years ago when I made that likely farewell post. I will still be hosting occasional rp events. From tropical vacation catastrophes, to Daedric nightmares, you can expect (hopefully) many more to come. Likely all future posts on here will be event-related. There may even be an open sign-up coming in the near future. Until then farewell, and a special best of luck to anyone with exams coming up.

“Right.” The Imperial crouched down to more closely inspect the oozing wound. “We will talk about that when you’re not bleeding all over the wall. How about that? I like that idea.”
He now moved his hands to the source of the injury. He had become well-acquainted with the art of restoration following his journeys in Skyrim, an art more often self-practiced. From his palms came the warm rush of the rejuvenating magic. It would not be long before the bleeding had stopped.
“However, if you do wish to know while I work, there was a really nice dagger on one of them. A polished ebony with a sapphire in the hilt.”
“ what are you talking about? this is not just a scratch ”
“nah ive gotten in worse scrapes with mudcrabs! i’m fine, really no need to fuss over me.”

The Imperial raised a brow following her response. “Are you certain? I have yet to see a mudcrab that can leave a gash that long and deep. You’re losing a fair amount of blood.” He shook his head as he watched the crimson stain continue to seep from her side. “No, this won’t do at all. Just stand still for a second while I treat this. It won’t even leave a scar. Most likely.”

Hello everyone! :) I am once again on break, this time for nearly a month. I would first like to say Merry Christmas for all those who celebrate it. I’ll hopefully be on for a fair amount of rp during this break (although it will be a busy one for me). More to come over the following week. Until then, happy holidays!

is it too late to sign up for vaermina's nightmare?
// Oh hi. Sorry I haven’t been checking my ask box recently. No, it’s never too late, if people are still interested. However, since the original post I have decided to move toward more of a time zone system, so unfortunately the times aren’t as flexible as before. Also, Time Zone A is just about full, so it would have to be for Time Zone B. If you’re still interested, then feel free to send me a message on your blog to discuss details.

Vaermina’s Nightmare RP Event
Tumblr media
As the dusk passes into dark night you notice a peculiar cup on your nightstand. You do not remember placing it there, but perhaps you did; such a cup could have been easily poured and forgotten about.  After further examination it appears to be your favorite beverage.
The question though: Will you drink it?
// Helllo everyone! It looks like it is time for another rp event. I’ve been waiting for about a year to do this one, and it is finally time. Here’s everything:
Date: The event will take place during the month of October, from 10/3-10-30. The primary week of activity will be 10/10-10/17.
Info: RP Will be done in a group chat over Skype and RP will be solely text.
Time Commitment: Unlike the previous event, this one will involve a relatively low time commitment. Sessions will not happen every day, and will be broken into individual scenes. The scene(s) involving your character will be based around your schedule.
Cooperative Story: Everyone participating in this rp will have the opportunity to influence the progression of the story. Although scenes may be individual or in small groups, each represents a part to the developing whole.
To participate: Must be running a Skyrim RP Blog, and have a Skype.
If you do not wish to share your Skype details, feel free to create a new account for the event.
To sign up you may either: send me an ask saying that you’re interested, leave a comment on this post, or reblog this post.
Sign up: Starting now! Sign-ups will end on 10/2 (at the end of Friday).
If you sign up then I will contact you with more information.
As always, hoping to see you there! :)

Hey everyone. :) I suppose the time of the year has come when I go on a series of hiatuses until the end of the college season. However, the good news is that I have already done this once, and am expecting this to go a lot more smoothly. It will be fairly quiet on this blog until October. However, I am not saying anything for certain but I might foresee another large rp event in the near future.
Until then, farewell. Best of luck to everyone who is resuming classes. :)

askthedovah:
she trotted down to him her face showing relief even with a few drops of blood on her cheek. “alright, some of the buildings have crumbled into the ground but where do you think their cheif would be holled up?” she asked listening for any near by bandits.
The Imperial thought for a second. There were still a number of towers that still stood, but nothing that he could envision as a command post. Then like a sudden bolt of inspiration it occurred to him.
“The Keep,” he informed her quietly. “I am almost certain that their chief would be in the Keep.” He paused to glance around his surroundings briefly. “However, we have to be careful. I have no doubt that the Keep will be heavily fortified, especially if they are aware of our presence. There was once a series of tunnels linking the complex together, but many seem to have collapsed. We may be faced with an assault through the front door.”

Upon hearing Vevel call to him, Enovire withdrew his gaze from the far section of the wall. Seeing the almost raised, he wasted no time as he dashed toward the entrance. Within a short series of seconds he was inside of the walls. To his fortune he was well familiar with his surroundings, allowing him to navigate his way over to the nearest set of stairs with ease. He stopped at the bottom and waited for her to descend.
the nord jumped at the thud watching the bandit fall over with a bolt through his neck.she let out a relieved breath she didn’t realize she was holding. thank the gods he was there to watch her back. she pressed on through the battlements  coming to the gate. immediately she swung her axe at one of the bandits and hitting the other in a fluid motion.
she let out another breath replacing her axe and dropping down to the gate. taking her axe in her hands again with one swing the chain around the gate shattered letting her open the gate. “enovorie. enovorie!” she called quietly hoping he would hear her and not another bandit.

malevolentnightshade:
enovire Dressed in her most immaculate Thalmor robes, Ambassador Elenwen fidgeted slightly and occasionally brushed her gloved fingers through her hair as she awaited the arrival of her guests for that evening’s formal dinner party at the Embassy. Elenwen disliked such events, but she had little choice in the matter; they were simply a part of her job. At least the guest list for that evening was quite small. A small guest list meant that she would not have to exchange quite as many pleasantries with people she cared very little for.
There was one guest, however, that Elenwen would not have to feign so much interest for. An ex-Thane, who had previously shown some support for the Stormcloak rebellion. An intriguing individual, indeed. Elenwen had already decided that she was going to give him quite a few probing questions about his allegiances. Perhaps the Ambassador would uncover something incriminating about the man and have to have him arrested on the spot. Now that would liven the dinner party up considerably, although Elenwen doubted that that would become a reality. He would likely be too careful, too guarded, to give away anything that could be used against him.
The womer’s ears twitched as she heard the sound of carriages drawing up outside. Swiftly she straightened her clothing and stood by the entrance to the Embassy’s foyer in order to greet her guests.
The Imperial stood dressed in the finest attire that the price of two bounties could afford him. He could not help but muse to himself that five men had been killed, brought to justice, for the tunic and boots that he wore.  The thought only warranted a second of his attention, before his eyes drifted up toward the form of the Thalmor Embassy which evoked both awe and horror in him. The building stood as a monument to the blood of thousands that would be spilled in the conflict that enveloped Skyrim.
He moved a slightly shaking hand to loosen his collar which all of a sudden seemed too tight. He swallowed once in dread, before hastilly following after the other guests which were already several strides ahead. Now he was in the lair of a dragon, a cruel and wicked one that would abuse and take advantage of him if any weakness was sensed. However, that was what he had signed up for when he answered the invitation. He had to know if he had been told the truth about his parent’s deaths; no matter what the risk.
He moved with caution toward the door, nervously glancing over the guards as he approached. Up ahead he could see an Altmer womer dressed in exquisite robes. Although the two had never spoken, he immediately recognized her as the Thalmor representative from the peace treaty talks. Being forced to wait outside, he had only seen her in passing but without a doubt recognized her to be Elenwen.
“Greetings!” He called, as he approached her. “I assume you must be our gracious host?”

askthedovah:
with the boost she was able to reach the branches and pull herself up. once she was on a stable branch she looked down to him. “i’ll be fine just watch my back alright?” she responded in a hushed tone. years of having nothing better to do but climb trees had finally paid off as she moved quietly over the branch dropping down to the wall with her axe drawn. she looked around a bit before she snuck over to the gate.
Enovire watched wearily from the ground as she clandestinely made her way toward the gate. To his momentary ease he could see that the path seemed to be clear, with no signs of patrols ahead. As his eyes scanned the battlements, he caught sight of a lone bandit moving her way. After several seconds of watching it was evident that she had been seen. The guard seemed to be cautiously following her path from a distance, crouching low with a light crossbow in hand.
Wasting no time he raised his crossbow again, silently loading in a bolt. ‘Now would be a spectacular time to miss’ he thought to himself, as he took precise aim at his mark. Then, taking a deep breath, he let lose the bolt which sped toward its target making lethal contact. He released an enormous sigh of relief as he watched the bandit drop with a quiet thud, with the fatal bolt lodged through the neck.
He now looked toward Vevel, giving her a silent gesture of assurance with his hand and a slight bow.

to-hunt-a-witch:
Sol burst into laughter, nearly knocking over his extravagant pipe which he abruptly ceased his laughter for to carefully step away to avoid tipping it over. Seemingly pulled from nowhere, the Nord suddenly had a bottle of mead in his hand.
“Insecure about your height, huh?” Sol smirked and took a swig of mead. His stance was wobbly, the man was clearly intoxicated with some sort of drug and alcohol. Despite the drunken stance and unstable footing, he had a small crossbow aimed at the Imperial from the hip.
“Take your hand off the mace, friend.” The Nord’s facial features were hard to make out from the Imperial’s perspective, on account of the large fire directly behind him. He was mostly just a silhouette at this point.
“It’s none of your business what I’m doing, you’re interfering and I’m not happy about it…”  He drained the bottle of mead and tossed it behind him. He pointed at the mace holstered on the man’s hip. The air around his hand seemed to ripple a bit. The Imperial would feel a slight tug on his glass mace.
“You plan on using that on me?”
The Imperial froze upon feeling the slight pull on his mace. A mage, of course Enovire could have anticipated that much from this shady individual. Normally by this point he would have stopped his advance completely, yet he knew that magic and alcohol did not mix well. With his mace he was still at the disadvantage, but now less so. Taking a deep breath, he began forward again.
“I intend on doing what I must if you leave me no choice,” Enovire informed him, momentarily lifting his hand from his mace. “If these are innocents that you have murdered then I am making this my business.”
He paused, as he considered his next course of action. The man was clearly intoxicated, giving him some confidence to quickly counter an attack. His eyes moved back to crossbow, bringing him to another stop. The other was still at a safe distance, but any further advance would change that. Carefully considering his options, he resolved to begin with what he did best: rhetoric.
“I will not come any closer, but I will need to know why you are burning these bodies,” he stated. “I would prefer a bloodless resolution to this. Consider it; you are currently in no condition to fight.”
“Are you burning a body?”
Sol took a long drag off his Vvardenfel crafted skooma pipe. He stood by a large fire, three corpses lay atop some large pieces of wood that were emitting large flames.
The words came suddenly and seemingly out of nowhere. He didn’t expect anyone to come out this far off the path, and he was far too high to hear anyone approach over the sound of the fire that had his full attention.
“Uh…” He paused, lowering the pipe and setting it on the ground beside him.
“You’re intruding on some very… Delicate business. I suggest you turn back and be on your way, little man.”

askthedovah:
“well, guess we should knock on the door then.” she sighed replacing her axe to her back. she looked around at the surrounding area eying in particular a tree whose limbs stretched close to the walls of helgen. “give me a boost up and i’ll clear out the guards and unlock the front gate.” she spoke walking over the the large tree’s trunk.
Without hesitation the Imperial followed her over. As he walked, he glanced over to the wall in search of any more guards. To his momentary relief he could see none clambering to their location, at least not yet. He now looked back to the tree before Vevel.
“Sure thing. That is probably our best way of entrance now,” he agreed. “I will have you up there in a second.”
With the words spoken he proceeded to pick up Vevel, lifting her off her feet. Using the trunk of the tree as added support, he used the base of his palms to raise her up further. With some difficulty and discomfort, he manged to elevate her high enough to reach one of the lower branches.
“Just be careful up there. I will provide as much assistance as I can with my crossbow, but you will be otherwise alone.”

The Imperial gave a small shrug at the other. “No, it seems the rest of my day is unscheduled,” he replied. “I was just out taking a walk when I spotted you. However, now that you mention it I think I might just do the same. I haven’t eaten lunch yet, and come to think of it I am rather thirsty. Perhaps you would know of a good place?”
Within only another matter of seconds the wound was healed. Bringing his hands to his side, the Imperial leaned in to examine his work. “Yes, I believe that should be finished,” he informed him. “Glad that I could be of help.”
That was a relief to hear. He supposed that the update on his wound was nice, too, but he was thankful for the changed subject. “Is it? Thank the Gods for you, mate.” He sighed in relief, all too eager to be done with this entire thing.
He couldn’t help but cock a brow at the next question, and he nearly turned around (forgetting temporarily what position he was in) to look at the Imperial. “Plans? Me? Well, I was plannin’ on headin’ to a tavern for a drink or tw—for a drink.” He corrected, not wanting to come off as a mead swilling simpleton to the other. “Why do you ask? Are you havin’ plans?”

askthedovah:
“it sounds like there are two guards in that tower. if you can take them out i can try and get over the wall and open the gate to let you in. hows that?” she asked listening to see if any more guards came by. “i really hope you are a good shot, ‘else were gonna need to find some cover so i can use a shout.”
The Imperial gave a silent nod, taking his crossbow from his back. He reached back again to retrieve a bolt which he carefully loaded into the crossbow. Sure enough, as she had spoken he could see the dark form of a bandit through one of the windows of the tower. Taking a deep breath, he raised his crossbow and aimed it at his mark. There was a loud click as he let the bolt fly, and soon following a scream of pain up ahead.
“Spectacular,” he muttered under his breath. “They almost certainly heard that. I am not sure if you have a secondary plan, but we should move quickly before there is a call to arms.”
