Teatro de Pietravairano
“Had it not been for a brush fire that burned away some overgrowth in 2001 and for the fact that Prof. Nicolino Lombardi, local historian for Pietravairano, is also an enthusiastic pilot of ultralight aircraft, this thing would still be undiscovered. At least now you can walk up the trail and see what the fuss is about. This is not just another medieval church or even just another of the many stone-aged slabs set in place by unknown Italic forbears. (Italy is full of both.)These are the ruins of a theater and temple from the late Roman Republic (II-I century BC; that is, around the year 100 BC.)..”

We all see the moon everynight, but how many of us really stop to consider how much of an enigma it is. A summation of over 170 moons in our own solar system reveal that Earth’s natural satellite is indeed unique. For one, it is proportionately much larger than any of the other planet’s moon(s). My favorite interesting moon fact is that, from Earth’s view, the sun and moon look very close to the same size. This is fascinating because the moon is smaller than the earth and over 200,000 miles away. The sun is over 11,000 times larger than the earth (surface area) and 92 million miles away. What are the chances that they would align up to make a perfect eclipse?! Truly amazing. This happens on zero other planets in our solar system.
Moon Facts:
Source Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural_satellite
• The Earth–Moon system is unique in that the ratio of the mass of the Moon to the mass of the Earth is much greater than that of any other moon–planet ratio in the Solar System.
• Mercury has no moon.
• Venus has no moon.
• Mars has Phobos and Diemos and they are very tiny and asymmetrical.
The sun looks much smaller from planets that are further from it, so even small moons often completely obliterate the sun.
• Jupiter has 63 moons.
• Saturn has 56 moons.
• Uranus has 27 moons.
• Neptune has 13 moons.
• Pluto (R.I.P.) has at least 3 moons.

Astronomers have NEVER discovered any other planet in existence that has a moon that perfectly eclipses it’s sun from the viewpoint of the planet.
A perfect eclipse is extremely improbable and while it probably exists somewhere else in the vast Universe, we have yet to discover it.
Our own solar system gives some insight into how improbable it is for this phenomenon to occur. For example, Earth is the only planet with 1 moon, and it is the largest moon in ratio to it’s planet.

• Mars has Phobos and Diemos and they are tiny and asymmetrical.

We live on a planet with many mysteries. Is our perfect eclipse a Universal message of, “hello”? Maybe the incredible force field around our world is a sign?
The insufficient idea of evolution is missing many parts. It’s only a matter of time until future generations look back at us and laugh, just as we do to the generations before us.
Question everything.

The probability that a planet’s moon perfectly eclipses its sun must be something like 1 in 999,999,999,999… ?

We simply don't have the tools to detect the many conscious forces all around us.
We have many placeholder words for them, but perhaps one day we'll have an animal kingdom-like taxonomy of the many various kinds of entities in our reality. For now, the creatures we can't measure get names like: spirits, ancestors, ghosts, angels, aliens, demons, jinn, genies, fairies, etc. We can sense them and sometimes see manifestations of their energy. They emit emotions that range from good, evil, and indifferent. Have you ever sensed one?
They are very real and each is a great mystery. What is your theory?

As advances in brain science make it possible to read and write human thoughts, some US states are pushing for new laws to protect neural activity
Colorado, California, Minnesota consider neural protection
Dozens of companies already capture our brainwaves
Chile is first country to enshrine protection
US safeguards urged to keep pace with innovation
LOS ANGELES - U.S. neurologist Sean Pauzauskie used to rely exclusively on expensive and cumbersome hospital kit to capture his patients' brainwaves and analyse problems in their electronic pathways.
But in recent years, the Colorado doctor turned to consumer headbands, commonly sold online to monitor sleep patterns or boost brain function, to capture the brain activity of some patients suffering seizures.
Cheaper and easy to use, the headbands - which can cost just a few hundred dollars - capture similar electronic data as state-of-the-art hospital machines, only with far less fuss.
"In the beginning I was thrilled, I thought: 'patients can even do all this themselves, at home,'" he told Context.
"But then I thought: 'wait a second, that means all their brain data is going to some private company.'"
Advances in brain science have made it easier to capture detailed data flows for the human brain and interpret their meaning. Some recent experiments have also shown the possibility of manipulating thoughts through neurological intervention…

Anyone who knows much about the history of remote viewing, knows that beyond Ingo Swann and Pat Price (RIP), Joe McMoneagle is the best, publicly known remote viewer.
He used to have a tv show in Japan where he would psychically find missing people for goodness sakes. Google him.
I try to avoid way out there things on this tumblr, and find a bit of balance of scientific understanding and the bleeding edge of the unknown. However, this is a bit different. The man remote views Mars.
So, weather you take it as science fiction or a thread of possibility, it is still very entertaining.

Unknown ancient cultures are always fascinating. This one sounds nice to have lived in.
“Archaeologists recently rediscovered the long-hidden traces of an ancient Indigenous society in western Ecuador’s Upano Valley: more than 6,000 earthen platforms that once supported houses and communal buildings in 15 urban centers, set amid vast tracts of carefully drained farmland and linked by a network of roads. Stéphen Rostain of the French National Center for Scientific Research and his colleagues say they haven’t seen this unique brand of “garden urbanism” anywhere else in the ancient Americas. It is also the oldest such civilization uncovered in the area…
The artifacts that Rostain and his colleagues excavated from the house platforms suggest that people built this complex network of communities around 2,500 years ago and abandoned it sometime between C.E. 300 and 600. Rostain thinks “perhaps a series of eruptions could have made trouble for the people, because after [C.E.] 600, we don’t have any archaeological dates until [C.E.] 800.”…
Each settlement included several groups of platforms, with roads connecting them. Some settlements were small, with just a few house platforms per square kilometer, but others—such as Sangay, which overlooks most of the valley—packed more than 100 platforms into each square kilometer of a site the size of Central Park. And these larger, denser urban centers boasted taller, wider platforms that probably once held communal buildings where people might have gathered for rituals, shared work or social events, Rostain and his colleagues suggest…
Nearly all the open space between communities would have been covered with hundreds of hectares of fields, bordered by shallow drainage ditches that fed into deeper canals. That close link between the fields and the urban centers of the Upano Valley is a unique hallmark of the landscape and the people who built it. Rostain and his colleagues call it “garden urbanism.”

“Can curved space-time be straightened?
It turns out that there is a certain mathematical object called the Alena Tensor, which allows the description of physical phenomena in such a way that the curvature of space-time can be smoothly adjusted as if using a slider…
If the method I have developed turns out to be the right one that we have been looking for 100 years, it will also mean that the entire world around us is just a constantly waving field, and space-time itself is only a way of perceiving this field. This is the most extraordinary conclusion resulting from the equations described by Alena Tensor…”
