Cord cutting.. I spent some time this morning going through cord cutting techniques with a friend, now those of you who are woowoo inclined will know about cording and that there are many ways to cut energetic cords with people from meditation, visualisation, ritual baths, crystals, candles and for the ladies yoni steams if you want to cleanse too, if you take the time to research you can find everything you need to know online... but this got me thinking about relationships, I personally think that every relationship we have is a reflection of the relationship we have with ourselves, self respect, self care, self love, communication and boundaries all start with yourself. Once you’ve instilled such within yourself you will then be able to have healthy relationships without feeling the need to ever have to cut cords, this is something that will take time to build especially if your new to the whole concept of self care and healing but it’ll be the best relationship you’ll ever invest in. In the mean time be choosy with whom you share your energetic space with even if like in the case of my friend you have somebody love bombing the fuck out of you, take shiz slow or just say No! Super full moon anyone? If you don’t know already today we are to have a super full moon in the constellation of Gemini. The full moon isn’t the time to be to proactive but more of a time of reflecting on your previous month and considering which aspects of your life you would like to take forward into the new month, think of the moon as your very own personal reset button. Traditionally the full moon is a powerful time for purification ritual, a time to release and purge anything you would like to see the back of, be it relationships, behaviour patterns, old mindsets or habits, basically anything that it is not serving your higher good. The ritual could be a a full on bonfire or just stoking up the hearth at home whilst writing on sticks or kindling the things you wish to be free of and take pleasure in watching them burn. Ritual could be as simple as lighting a candle and using pen and paper to write things down and burning it in the flame, essentially it’s about intention you could even sit in meditation and visualise giving things up to the universe, you’ve probably heard the phrase ‘giving it up to god’ it’s the same thing.. but my favourite way to purify my being and let shiz go is a hot soak in a salt bath pop in some crystals some oils and herbs, lights some candles and visualise the water cleansing you and all that is you wish to be released of.
