hiii!!! AA thank you so much for the question - I actually don't use too many layers in my art for textures, but I also merge quite a lot so that might not be accurate.

I usually have separate layers for rendering (so lighting, cleaning up things from other layers, effects, composting), then line art, then flat colours (which I texture in chunks).

like i am doing a thing ATM and. legit i delete the sketch halfway through because it's putting too much pressure on me and render things in chunks like a toddler

you put tag “jayvik” on your art. but on art with sky you didn't put ship tag. =)))))))) I'm not surprised. you probably hate her or think she's “just a friend for Viktor”

actually, I don't mind skyvik or sky! she had a lot of potential as a character, and her design is cute, I just didn't draw them with that concept in mind. instead of spend your limited time on this planet speculating about people's ship opinions based on the absence of a tag, I think you should do something nice for yourself instead - I recommend baking, or hiking if you live in an area with nature. baths are also quite relaxing!

hey guys! uh just a heads up - I might post less frequently over the next few months as I'm spending a lot of my creative energy on a college project (super duper secret - although I'll definitely post it all here once I'm done!) and have less time for fan art.

on a similar note, thank you for all the support - you have no idea how much my mental health has gotten better with the lovely reblogs and comments that get left on my art. I feel so much less alone knowing that people resonate with the things I make, and I'm forever grateful for having even a small platform.
