My first Wind Breaker piece!! So excited to work with the writer, Robin, for the @sakuraminibang!! She was so sweet and helped me narrow down the idea for this piece. Another shoutout to @kokoroshiki, fellow artist and one of the mods, for helping out so much with beta-ing! Scum Villain Big Bang 🎍🪭

No fic (possibly yet), but for this Shen^2 idea, SY and SJ are both popular cosplayers, well known for their cutesy and accurate, respectively, female character cosplays (here, SY is Miku and SJ is Meiko). Eventually, the two of them get to know each other through their cosplay personas, but plot twist! They know each other in real life, they hate each other in real life, and they’re assigned to work with each other on a project. As you can imagine, shenanigans ensue.

This big bang was so fun to be a part of! Everyone I worked with was so kind, and the in-character announcements were so cool, I loved reading them!! @svsssbigbang

XL is a great companion for HX bc he always stores food in his sleeves. HX is a great companion for XL bc he’s a scholar and knows so much. XL def finds the bloody fire social extremely interesting, from prop design and makeup and the story/purpose behind it.

SY is teaches online classes while CW teaches in person. LBH doesn’t work in academia, but MR is CW’s TA.

BingYuan’s wedding ring has a silver band with bamboo motifs, of which the color is similar to LBH’s jade pendant. RanWan’s has a tianwen style band with haitang blossom motifs.

Her writing is AMAZING and descriptive and she manages establishing and sustaining the tension required in an au like this SO WELL!!!! I’m so glad I was able to draw the interview scenes, their final lines stuck out to me so much I just had to include them XDDD They were so cool!!!!!!!!

Day 7: Red 🥀

Cutting hair was done to criminals, so I definitely think during the 100 swords Xie Lian’s hair was cut. He wasn’t a criminal but he failed to save the world so he might as well be to his citizens. Also he almost (emphasis on almost) robbed a guy out of desperation and hunger and the characters used that to justify killing him over and over so

Anyway I didn’t want to be more anatomically accurate when it came to gore bc I didn’t want to see real life pics by accident, but it was fun drawing!

Dedication to the craft is writing really slowly and using all my effort to make the handwriting neat bc Xie Lian would have the most legible cursive ever (and still not making it look good)

Dedication to the craft is also taking off my glasses, crossing my eyes, squinting, and writing as loosely with my non dominant hand as possible to try and get Hua Cheng’s handwriting correctly

Anyway I love HC with gray skin and XL with Thick Eyebrows
