Why, hello again! I am happy to continue fueling your hyperfixation. And angst this time… Well, I’ve got just the thing for you! But, I’m just going to warn you now, I am HORRIBLE at angst. It’s a genre that I absolutely suck at, so this may not be very good. HOWEVER, I will still make sure you get the angst you wished for either way. I mean, I can’t get better if I don’t try, right? To make it a little easier for me, I'll throw in a bit of fluff occasionally. I think that’s a fair deal. This is going to be a LONG ride, so hold on tight. You’ve got a lot of reading to do.

Be warned, I'll be mentioning many heavy topics, so be cautious while reading this. I understand if this is too much, and I sincerely apologize if it is. None of this is to glorify/romanticize any of the heavy topics mentioned, please don’t take it as that.

Ever since Matron could remember, her life was… difficult. It started and it ended in pain. She doesn’t remember a lot of exact details about her life, she doesn't even remember her real name, but she does remember some more general information and maybe a handful of memories that stuck with her throughout the years… most of those being negative and traumatic. She knows that she was born disabled, so that automatically made her life far more rough than it would be if she wasn’t. She had a few issues, some appearing later in life and some being present when she was born. From chronic pain to issues with her spine, troubles being able to walk due to deformities in her feet, and even neurodevelopmental issues. She experienced many struggles and difficulties. And at the time period she was born in, there was really nothing anyone could do for her. She was expected to not even make it to her adult age, but she managed to live way longer than expected. She lived into her 50-60’s, despite the odds (mostly due to a sacrifice to Lord Malak… I’ll get to that in a moment). She got to experience a lot, but she suffered the entire time. 

And not just from her physical condition, but due to the treatment of those around her. Matron wasn’t conventionally attractive, she was disabled, and she was a woman in a time where women weren’t seen as people. So, she didn’t have much going for her. When she was about 16-18, she was married off to a man, but there was no love in it. It was just so she wouldn’t be alone, so she had someone to take care of her (despite her wants and dreams). She didn’t want this, but she had no other choice. She bore through the physical, psychological, and sexual abuse for many years, silently hoping that it would all end soon, but no help ever came for her. She was truly alone in the world. It eventually got to a breaking point, and that was the thing that caused her to finally snap. She could not bear this any longer. She began to stir up a plan, but she had to wait for the perfect time.

And the perfect time had come. At the time, she was about 28-32, and she was experiencing a huge decline in her physical and mental health. After a massive fight, her husband disfigured her face. Matron can’t remember exactly how it all went, since a lot of it was a blur to her, but she would never be the same again. She felt bits of flesh hanging off of her face, parts of her teeth, gums, and muscle exposed. Her right eye was also damaged to the point she couldn't see out of it anymore. It might have been the adrenaline, but she lunged at her husband, beating him until he was unconscious. She got up, and moved to the kitchen as best as she could in her state, and grabbed the biggest kitchen knife she could. She knew what she had to do. It was time to enact that plan that she’s been brewing. She was going to offer his body to the elite demon, Malak. She had heard that name before, and she was willing to try anything to escape, to live the way she wants, even if that meant selling her soul to the devil (well, Malak, but you know what I mean).

Matron weakly hobbled back over to his unconscious body, got on top of him, raised the knife, and plunged it into his chest, straight into the heart. After a few more plunges, she stopped. She had to catch her breath, but she also began to process what she had just done. However, she also knew that she couldn’t stop now. It had to be done. She didn’t love him anyway, he was the reason she was ‘ruined’. He abused her, took advantage of her, disfigured her face, and more. She got a reference for Malak’s sigil, and began to draw it with her dead husband’s blood, just as intended. She cut a small wound into herself to add her own blood as well. She did all of the correct chants, drew all of the correct symbols with his and her own blood, and offered a sacrifice… and he appeared.

Matron can barely believe it, was she really in front of an elite demon? Was this real? It was very real, and he began to speak. He asked her what her reason was for summoning him, and what she wished for. She knew exactly what she wanted, and she always did. She wanted independence. She wanted to not be constantly struggling with her conditions. She also had dreams of becoming a nurse, or even a doctor if she could. Malak heard her wishes, and he decided to grant them. He would give her everything she wanted at the cost of her soul and eternal worship. She took a few final moments to process it all, but she agreed. She was about to live the life of her dreams, how could she resist? And so, her wishes were granted. She didn’t immediately feel them, but she trusted the elite demon’s words. He went off on his way to let her live her life, but he warned her he would be back when it was her time to go. She figured this, and felt no issue with that happening. She felt it was worth it… So, she cleaned herself up, cleared the scene, fled her home, and began her new life.

Matron slowly felt better. She was not cured by any means, but she was not in nearly as much agony and stress as she was before. Sure, she was now blind in her right eye, and her face was badly mutilated, but she was able to find a great doctor who was willing to at least try and repair her face as much as possible. That was enough for her. She could live with some discomfort and a little bit of difficulty. And she got her dream job despite what people believed back in her day. She became a doctor. In fact, she became the best doctor around, and her name was VERY well known. She knew how to do many things, even procedures that were unheard of until that point. She knew how to even make many kinds of medications and remedies to help with whatever you can think of. She taught other nurses under her (women specifically) many things as well, and she influenced many young women into greatly improving their medical careers, despite what society wanted. Her life was… perfect. Almost perfect. But, this didn’t last forever.

After a little over 20 years of her perfect life and medical career, Matron’s health RAPIDLY declined to a state worse than before. It was a mix of her conditions flaring up once more and old age mostly. Due to this, she lost her job and was forced to have a caretaker. Her caretaker treated her no better than her husband. She lost everything once again. All of that hard work, just for it to be ripped away from her. As you can probably imagine, this caused her to spiral quickly into depression. She was at the point where she saw suicide as her only option. She truly could not handle this amount of pain or loss. It was way too much, and she felt as if she had no reason to live anymore. She did not want to succumb to her age and ailments. If she was going to die, she was going to at least die by her own hand. She couldn’t let her sense of choice be ripped from her again. She moved herself to the medicine cabinet and took all of the medications she knew would kill her. She took every single last pill. and then some, then she waited. She got what she wanted not long after. As she lay dying on the floor, feeling the effects of the overdose of medications rush through her, she saw Lord Malak standing right in front of her, just like he said. She knew this time would come, she saw no use in trying to escape it or even resist it. She knew it was time to pay the price.

Not much is known in the period between her death and her first becoming a major demon/the overseer of the Reaper Nurse Hospital, but a lot of changes were made. Matron became much taller, reaching over 30 feet in height, and she became FAR more powerful than she could ever imagine. She knew that no man would ever harm her again. She had control of her eternal life, and she’ll make sure everyone knows it. No one will make her do anything she doesn’t want to do, especially not a man. One choice she made was to amputate her feet. They were a huge bother to her, and she decided to swap them out for a new prosthetic. Her idea is the reason she is the second fastest known demon (under Malak’s rule, that is). Being able to go to speeds around 90 mph/~145 kph, very few can escape her. That combined with her sheer strength, intelligence, brutality, and her cloaking ability made (well, MAKES, but still) her a force to be reckoned with. That’s more than she could ever ask for.

Not long after the therapy center was built, Malak introduced the first ever Reaper Nurses to be created. He explained what their role was and what she was meant to do with them, and she took it from there. She had prior experience with training nurses in her prime, so this made her feel like she was right back in that time. It was great. She trained them in many things, as she was requested, and she taught them more. She quickly grew fond of these nurses, and she felt as if she had a purpose. She was no longer alone. She was surrounded by people, but she actually loved it this time. It brought her… joy? She felt true love for the first time in forever. This was like her heaven. The first time she realized this, she burst into tears. She sobbed for at least 30 minutes. She was hoping her cloaking ability would be enough to hide it from her trusty nurses (because she REALLY didn’t want to seem weak or pathetic in front of them), but they heard her and found her quickly. They thoroughly reassured her that they were always there for her, and that they didn’t see her any differently in this state. That only caused her to cry more, but it was mostly happy tears that time. She never felt loved before, so she wasn’t sure what to do with it, but she was starting to learn how to accept it. To be honest, she will never fully learn, but she has done a very good job at it at least.

Time for a very long time skip (Say, a couple of centuries or so?). The main hospital has been built, MANY new nurses have come under Matron’s wing, and she has been living out her dream. More than that, actually. She could have never imagined this. Despite her brutal and angry outside, she could never be more happy. This is all she ever wanted, and so much more. She’s doing her dream job, she’s in a better condition than ever before (again, NOT CURED, it’s just a lot more manageable), and no one questions her authority (especially not men). That, and she was dearly loved by her nurses (yeah, they still respect her authority obviously. Also, I’ll allow you to interrupt ‘love’ how you want, but I mean it in a couple different ways). But, unfortunately, things don’t always last forever.

Another unruly patient enters the hospital and is causing her poor nurses a lot of trouble. This wasn’t unusual, but it seemed like he was a special case. Matron had gotten news that this man was particularly tricky to deal with, but things like this have happened before. It wasn’t too common, but she had protocols for this type of thing. After Doug successfully collects the ring piece, she and her nurses prepare for the final stretch. It is something that they were not fond of doing, but it was their last hope of catching the rascal that was running rampant throughout the realms and their her hospital. It’s time for a good old ambulance chase! She lets her nurses go before her, just so she has a little extra time to prepare. They don’t worry, she’ll easily catch up in no time. And as expected, she catches up with them quickly, her trusty buzz-saw tonfas in hand. 

As she gets behind the ambulance Doug was standing on, she witnesses one of her nurses get stunned by one of the abilities that he has obtained from the ring piece from the sewers that the Dread Duckies and Doom Ducky call home. She was unable to do anything as she watched that poor nurse have her needle-like weapon taken from her and get used against her. That nurse was pushed off of the speeding ambulance, right into the cart that Matron had as her prosthetic. The body of that nurse hit her wheels, causing them to become a bit unstable. It didn’t quite break it, but it wouldn't take much to do so. She didn’t focus on that. She had no time to grieve or check the wheels, it was her mission now to KILL this man. He would not get away with his crimes. She wants him DEAD. Not just for Lord Malak’s sake, but her own.

More nurses go down, and her cart breaks more and more… then the final blow. She had no time to process it all, it was mostly all in the blink of an eye. The cart's wheels flew off, and she fell. She fell HARD. And the last hit to the ground was met with a feeling of something slicing through her belly, and a LOT of blood. One of her saws went through her body during the final blow to the road, and she was bleeding out tremendously. Her organs were exposed and she was gushing blood and bile. Her vision begins to fade as she falls into unconsciousness. She should be dead, but her immortality saved her, but that didn’t stop the injuries she acquired. Broken bones, road rash, and the huge laceration that had most of her internal organs exposed. Once again, she had lost her independence, and it was to a man.

HOLY SHIT, I DID IT, THIS TOOK SO FUCKING LONGGGGG I CAN REST. My hands and back hurt like all hell, but this was so worth it. I definitely got carried away… BUT, here is your angst!!!! I need to go to bed, I'm so tired… I hope you enjoy it! I sadly don’t have any bonus stuff to give, but I can make more soon. Now, FEAST!! (Also to answer your last question, I highly doubt I will make content of those things, sorry. I do know what those things are, but I'm just not currently interested in those. I will let you know if that ever changes!!!!)

I saw your post about The Matron and how she was in a hospital bed. I was wondering how long was she in the hospital bed and did she have to do physical therapy?

Thank you so much for asking! I always appreciate questions. Excuse my poor writing skills, I promise I’m trying 😭

So, she was in the hospital bed for at least a few months. The surgeries and other such procedures alone took a few weeks to over a month for her Reaper Nurses to complete. I would say the amount of time that she spent in the hospital bed would be a few months at least? It’s hard for me to give an exact timeline, but I would say probably… 6-9 months or so? Somewhere in that range. She probably would have tried to make herself get out of the bed earlier, but her nurses were VERY much against that, and she was too weak from a combination of sedatives and her (still recovering) injuries to actually do anything. That, and she understood that it would just make things worse. She knew better than to push herself to her limit, because she knew she would regret it if she did. So she said until she and her nurses agreed that it was okay for her to start doing things again.

As for physical therapy, yes. She has to do physical therapy. I say ‘has’ instead of ‘had’ because she is still in recovery (as of now I guess I should say? Does that make sense 😓). She’s far from better, she’s just able to move around and do things now (of course, with limitations). She doesn’t have to do as much as she did when she first was able to move around again, but she still has to do it.

Hello again, it’s me (sadly /j). I’m sorry for disappearing for a little bit, life got kinda busy and I really didn’t have anything worth posting. This isn’t exactly going to be a good quality post either, but I thought I might as well post SOMETHING. It’s the least I can do.

So, I’ve finally been dabbling with 3D models and such. It’s been something I’ve been wanting to do SO badly, but I genuinely didn’t know how to import 3D models on mobile… Until I got into Prisma 3D. I know I can probably do stuff like this on other 3D modeling apps, but Prisma 3D is a lot more simple. OKAY, BACK TO THE POINT. What I’m trying to say is now I can finally make stuff with 3D models! (Well… sorta. I’m still very much a beginner, so don’t expect too much yet… I promise I’m learning, just give me some time.)

As you can probably imagine, I’ve been DYING to mess around with Matron’s model (and the Reaper Nurses’ model(s), but let’s leave that for another time) and make things with it. However there’s a problem I’m having… I can’t find the correct texture. Actually, let me rephrase that. I can’t find any textures with color. With her colors. I’ve messed around with the Reaper Nurse model/texture, and I got what I wanted, but for Matron? Nope. I think I fucked something up, but I can make a follow-up if I do figure it out. This isn’t necessarily me asking for help, BUT if anyone DOES know how I can fix this problem, then that would be greatly appreciated! I have all of the texture files that the model came with, but I don’t have one with the colors (and my model keeps going invisible 💔). I also have barely any idea what I’m doing (as stated before).

Alright, I’m sorry that this is such a low effort post. I’ll try and find the motivation to make some art that I find post-worthy. In the mean time, I’m still here, and I’m still doing stuff. Just because I’m not posting, doesn’t mean I’m not still here. Once I figure this out, I’ll probably post some of the stuff I create with it, IM GOING TO HAVE SO MUCH FUN, I JUST KNOW IT (I’m done ranting (for this post), I promise. Have a good day/night! ^^)

I don’t have any good Dark Deception art at the moment, so I’m going to post… some Dandy’s World art instead (This time at least, I swear I’ll make some more Dark Deception stuff soon)! I really really *REALLY* liked the Christmas update, and I am still VERY attached to it (despite it being almost June when posting this). I especially got attached to Twisted Bobette… I love Twisted Bobette so much. I can’t exactly go into too much detail without further ruining my digital footprint, so I’ll be tame (don’t ask) /hj

*Cough cough*… ANYWAY… I just finished a little reference sheet for what I head-canon her to look like (or more specifically, what she looks like in my AU). I put WAY too much effort into this, but I’m pretty proud of the result (not bragging). As you may be able to tell, I heavily inspired her design off of Krampus. I couldn’t resist, it was literally too perfect. Basically what I did was make her into a giant caribou Krampus lady.

I had so much fun making this… I love making reference sheets for some odd reason. And, I just love Twisted Bobette so much, so I kinda just went all out (okay, maybe not ‘all out’, but I put quite a bit of effort into this). Well, I think I’ve said this before but… Ask, and you shall receive! I’ll honestly do anything to keep this fandom alive, especially if it has anything to do with The Matron (or even just Torment Therapy as a whole). Again, feel free to request stuff like this anytime. I’ll be more than happy to answer, and it makes me happy to see that I’m not the only one hyper-fixated on her. She needs more love. ANYWAY, let me actually answer the question instead of yapping. I like to ramble, sorry. Mind you, most of this is my headcanon (or AU more accurately), so don’t expect anything to be close to canon (unless it’s stated that it is either heavily based on canon or IS canon).

So, I explained previously that the boss fight caused her multiple injuries, including that very large, stitched-up scar going down her chest and stomach (caused by one of her buzzsaw blades), and quite a few other ones that I mentioned. It (obviously) also caused her ‘hoverboard’ (her prosthetic) to break, which was the whole reason she fell in the first place (but you don’t need me to tell you that part). You can probably guess she wasn’t able to do much of anything at that moment due to the combination of her injuries (many broken bones, severe road rash, possible head trauma, and her buzzsaw slicing through her torso vertically) and her only way of getting around (the ‘hoverboard’ prosthetic) breaking apart. She passed out a few seconds after the fall due to the amount of pain she was in, blood loss, and a head injury.

Most of the Reaper Nurses (at least the ones who survived) stayed behind to tend to her, while a small handful continued to chase Doug to the hospital in hopes of capturing him once and for all (which we all know, that didn’t work out). The Reaper Nurses were able to keep her somewhat alive while calling for more assistance from some nurses that stayed behind to tend to other matters. To cut some unnecessary parts out, they somehow managed to get her back to the hospital with minimal additional injuries. Due to other injuries and complications she’s had in the past, she already had her own hospital room prepared. Don’t ask me how her nurses were able to drag her back to the hospital and put her into the bed with only a few additional minor injuries… they have their ways, trust me bro 🙏🙏 /j

A bunch of tedious surgeries and other such medical procedures had to be preformed, but the Reaper Nurses managed. One thing was for certain, they really didn’t want to lose their boss. They would do anything to keep her alive and happy, so they did everything they could to do just that. Matron was put under an induced coma to make things easier, and so she wouldn’t have to suffer too much (at least while she was still being cared for). After all of those procedures were over (over the course of… well… I’d say a few weeks?), they finally took her out of the coma, but kept her on sedatives and pain relievers to keep her calm and relaxed. If it weren’t for those, she DEFINITELY would have tried to leave/get out of the hospital bed and hurt herself greatly.

She can’t stand felling ‘useless’ or ‘dependent’, so she would have tried her hardest to make herself get back to work, even if it would leave her in a much worse state. Plus, the repairs for her prosthetic weren’t done quite yet, so she really wouldn’t have been able to go far either way… But the point is that her nurses didn’t want her to kill herself from trying to go do activities that she PHYSICALLY cannot do in that state. It kept her from ripping her stitches and rebreaking her bone, yes, but it took a huge toll on her mental health. As she was woken up from her induced coma, and slowly taken off the sedatives, she began to come back to her senses. She began to feel more and more useless, almost as if she was human again. She began to think of her human life centuries ago… how she was treated, how much pain she was constantly in, and the dreadful feeling of feeling like she was nothing but a huge burden to her family. It basically drove her crazy, but she was too weak to really do anything. It was obvious that she was going through a lot, so the Reaper Nurses made sure to stay by her side constantly.

They would take shifts to stay with her, making sure she was never left alone. They really didn’t want her to feel abandoned or unwanted, despite her…. displeasure… of being constantly cared for. Some would just lay with her, talk to her, and sleep by her side for make sure that she wouldn’t feel lonely. They made sure to tell her that she wasn’t being a burden, nor was she useless. They talked to her, reassuring her when needed. They would rather be taking care of her in a state like this than have her dead. She didn’t fully believe them at first, but she reluctantly started to listen to them for real. She saw how foolish she was for not believing them and not accepting their genuine love and care for her. Let’s just say, it took a LOT of convincing to make her feel better, and she still struggles with such feelings. As of after the events, she a lot better, but is still struggling. Her rage has been brought back, but it’s directed towards Doug now. She’s aware that he’s still alive, and she waits for the day she can finally get her revenge. The Reaper Nurses are just as mad, for her and their fellow fallen nurses.

She’s still recovering physically too, and she has plenty of days where she can’t do as much as she wishes. She has to take more medication than before, and rest more than ever, but she’s now able to live relatively normal. Emphasis on ‘relatively’. She’s still plotting exactly what she’s going to do when she gets her hands on Doug again, and it’s not going to be pretty or quick… The Reaper Nurses learnt their torture methods/techniques from someone, and Matron is sure as hell gonna show the whole dark dimension who that is. But, that’s for another time. Until then, she still has some resting and self-care to do first. Her time will come, hopefully…

Okay, I am gonna just say it, my storytelling/writing is DOGSHIT, and I’m so sorry that I’m not better. Yes, I am very much working to improve that. I hope this is what you meant, and that this answer satisfies you. Remember, my requests are open, and you can ask me whatever you want, whenever you want. I will get to it as soon as possible, but it WILL eventually get to it. As long as I see it, you will get an answer. I’m honestly shocked that I am the reason that someone is hyper-fixating on a character, but I am MORE than happy to give you more content to feed on. Trust me, I need more Matron content too. I’m going to very much continue making my own content for me anyone else that wants it, but as I stated before, she really deserves more love. Hopefully, she’ll get some more attention when Chapter 5 comes out. Even if it’s just a few more fans and a little extra content. But, I guess we’ll find out eventually. Hey it’s me again :) you think you can do headcannons for Matron, thank you

God, I've been waiting for nearly 3 and a half years for someone to ask me this, and my wishes have finally come true. I apologize for the late response, I actually had to go do something for once in my life. Shocking, I know! (/j) Anyway, I’ll just give you some 10 random ones that progressively get more serious/sad because I’m not entirely sure what specific head canons I should do… One or two of these are kind of just me projecting if I’m being honest. Here you go! Ask, and you shall receive.

1. She absolutely cannot STAND the feeling of her hair touching her neck. She has to have it very short at all times, or it will drive her crazy. She also has little-to-no time to properly manage it, so keeping it short like that makes her life much easier.

2. She’s a bit old-fashioned when it comes to most things. She has a hard time keeping up with the times, but she tries. The main hospital is a good example of how she is trying to keep up with modern life. But, she will forever keep her therapy center, the outfits, and just her things in general ‘outdated’ because that’s what she likes. It sorta gives her a sense of comfort, or even nostalgia.

3. This one’s more of a mini story, but it will go here anyway. This one has a good ‘ending’, don’t worry. It’s meant to be silly. It doesn’t really make much sense, but I thought of it one day, and ran with it. Also, I absolutely SUCK at writing stories, so this might be awful to try and read. Bear with me here, please. After the incident with Doug and the ambulance chase, she was obviously pretty badly injured (to say the least) and unable to do much for a while. She was stuck in a hospital bed (one made for her, of course) for a good while, recovering from all the injuries and trauma she sustained. Well, towards the end of her being stuck in the hospital bed, the Reaper Nurses decided to make a bold move, and do something they thought would be funny in hopes of cheering her up a bit. They were hoping to get a good laugh out of her. Yes, this story is getting somewhere, just trust me. You know the prosthetic she has? The self-balancing scooter that replaces her feet? Well, she had it temporarily removed while recovering for repairs (since it breaking from the damaged it had gotten from the boss fight caused her to fall). It was basically done with repairs, and the Reaper Nurses took it, and ‘decorated’ it. All they really did was put a big license plate that had her name on it, but spelled with the ‘O’ being a zero (“MATR0N”). They added some backup/turn signal lights on to really sell it too (don’t ask me how they realistically work, they just do). Long story short, she (surprisingly) did get a kick out of it! Not only that, but she keeps them on to this day. I do have a drawing of what it looks like, but I’ll show that in the near future (probably).

4. Her eyes are pretty sensitive to light. It’s the main reason that her office, most of the therapy center, and the highway for the patient transfer are so dimly lit. The light that you DO see is just barely enough for her to handle with causing her pain/migraines. Her eyes are more accustomed to low-light/dark environments (like cats, or even owls). The Reaper Nurses’ eyes are also better suited for low-light conditions, but they are a bit more adaptable to changes like that than Matron is. The main hospital Reaper Nurses eyes are built to withstand both, since the environment is different there then it is at the therapy center.

5. Speaking of eyes, she doesn’t exactly have the best eyesight. Her height/size does give her a bit of an advantage, but she still can’t see all that well. She requires glasses, especially for reading. You don’t see it because she usually keeps the glasses under the bag so you don’t see them. Hypothetically, she could wear them over the bag, but that would look a little goofy. That, and she doesn’t like when people point out things like that about her (Yeah, this is sorta a hint to a head canon that is coming up (#10 specifically)).

6. This isn’t really a head canon SPECIFICALLY for The Matron, but it does apply to her. If you manage to scare/startle a Reaper Nurse (or Matron, but she is VERY hard to scare) well enough, they might involuntarily go invisible/‘cloak’. It’s basically just a defense mechanism they have. They’ll probably uncloak themselves after a few seconds, then get extremely pissed off at you for doing that though. I wouldn’t recommend you go out and try that.

7. She’s extremely blunt. She will tell you exactly how she feels, and she doesn’t really care how you feel. If she doesn’t agree with someone, or she simply isn’t happy with something, you WILL know. This makes her come off as even ruder than she is. Is she rude normally? Yes, she definitely can be very mean. But her bluntness just makes her seem worse.

8. She has a bit of an anger problem (putting it lightly). This probably isn’t shocking at all… HOWEVER, her anger issues have been somewhat managed, and she has learned to better control her emotions. She has help from her nurses to remind her not to lose her cool over little things, and to keep her calm when needed. This doesn’t mean that those problems are gone, or even that they are even fully managed… but trust me when I say this, it is way better than before. She’s proud of how far she’s come, but she’s also painfully aware that she is far from done. Honestly, she’ll probably never lose that side of her.

9. She doesn’t really know how to be alone anymore (at least for extended periods of time). There are only certain times when she is able to be comfortable alone, or when she wants to be alone. All of those are your typical moments of wanting privacy, but that’s about it. All of the years, decades, and even centuries she has spent with her nurses has changed her so much. She doesn’t always acknowledge it (and sometimes doesn’t want to), but it has. That, and she wasn’t ever alone much while she was alive. Continuing with this, she typically has at least one nurse accompanying her whenever she goes somewhere, usually more. She’s come to really enjoy their company to the point that she isn’t used to them NOT being there. If Matron is there, expect at least one of her most important nurses to be there with her (unless said otherwise).

10. Due to a lot of trauma from her life (primarily), she deeply fears being dependent. If she is made to feel vulnerable, needy, or helpless, it can very easily cause her to become incredibly aggravated, or even send her into a panic attack in some cases. Her disabilities make it basically impossible for her to fully take care of herself (she CAN take care of herself for the most part, but she physically cannot do certain things without assistance. Also, most things are just really painful/difficult for her to do on her own). She is incredibly grateful for everything her nurses help her with/do for her, and she couldn’t thank them enough for that, but it does get to her that she will never be fully dependent. Not in life, and not in death. She tries to focus on other things so she doesn’t spiral into a rabbit hole of unrecoverable trauma and the life of pain and suffering she endured, but every once in a while… it catches up to her. I know this might seem contradictory to the previous head canon, but stick with me here.

I do have more, but I’ll probably share some of those some other time. Again, I’m very sorry that I took forever to respond. I hope these are what you were looking for, and that you enjoy them! Hey it’s me, so do you think you can explained how The Matron got her scars. Sorry if it’s too much it’s just your the second person I found who does stuff about her. Thank you.

OMG OMG OMG YESS, IM SO GLAD YOU ASKED!!! I will use ANY opportunity to talk about her more. Don’t EVER apologize for asking stuff like this, it means the world to me that you are interested! I’m glad to give you (or really anyone for that matter) more content about her. She needs so much more love, and I’ll gladly be the person to give her that.

Anyway, let me actually answer the question instead of geeking out about The Matron (except I’ll probably end up doing exactly that). Fair warning, this might be a bit of a long post. Some of the scars on her body are simply from tussles and fights from the other major demons, as well as some slip-ups with her buzzsaws. But I’ll go into more detail.

For example:

The one shown here (on her right hand) are from her accidentally slicing herself with her buzzsaws while trying to keep them maintained (cleaning/sharpening/replacing them).

These three (first is her right thigh, second is her left hand, third is left under underarm) were caused by fights she got into with the other major demons (“bosses”). Who exactly? I don’t really have a good answer atm, so you can interpret it to be whoever you want it to be.

The rest of the scaring (except for one that I’ll get to in a second) was due to the ‘incident’ with Doug and the ambulance chase (AKA, her boss fight). The exact scarring placement for most of those was taken off of this specific sprite of her in one of the SDD Chapter 2 teasers made a while ago (forgot the exact date it was released, sorry)

And for the other two that I’ll mention here.

This one (the one going down her chest/stomach, but it reaches slightly past the navel) was also from the ‘Doug ambulance chase’ incident, where (this doesn’t happen canonically of course, but it’s more of a more gruesome version of it ig?) would be from her landing directly onto on of the saws, cutting her open (won’t go into too much detail, but I think you get the idea). Her nurses helped to stitch her back together, but that wound is still relatively fresh. That’s why she still has her stitches. Somehow, she survived that, along side the many other injuries she got from that ambulance chase. I guess even demons can have miracles happen to them too (thank goodness).

The last one I’ll mention for now is this one here (on her left thigh). This was a self-inflicted injury. I don’t have a good (or exact) story for it, but this would be her ‘most recent’ scar. As of ‘now’, she’s a bit more mentally stable than she was after regaining her consciousness after the whole ‘ambulance chase’ happened. She’s still recovering (mentally and physically) from it, and she has a long way to go. But, that outcome will most likely change depending on what happens in the ‘true’ ending in Chapter 5. Looks like we will have to wait and see.

She has quite a few more scars, but they aren’t shown in any of the images I have posted previously. I guess there are some I forgot to mention too, so I apologize for that.

I know this is quite a long post, and I’m not sure if this will all make sense, but I hope this was what you were looking for. I would love to make more stuff in the near future like this. I’m so thankful you asked since I get to autisticly rant (I’m allowed to say that) about The Matron. I love her so much, I could literally talk about her for days without stopping. Uhhh, hello everyone, I have no idea how I’m supposed to use Tumblr correctly… Until I figure it out, I’ll post some art because I’ve got nothing better to do with my life (I guess).
