I wondered what kind of images passed through his mind when opening that creepy-ass book with all the spirits trying to drive you mad and telling you to kill the only decent people in your life.

okay, Posei's hair is cold, but i like to imagine that his body has a much lower temperature than humans (because he's the God of the Tides and stuff), but he manages to control it to a more pleasant temperature so he can cling to Ody

I planned to have him colder than humans normally, although his body temperature isn't controlled, he can sometimes get too hot if he's flustered or under the sun for much too long, it's like touching hot leather.

Luckily he doesn't get like that very often, but it can still happen. It's more common when he's under the sun too long, when he's flustered his hair just gets warm

I see all the art/stories of Kieran being physically stronger during Indigo Disk compared to being physically weaker in Teal Mask and on one hand, I kinda get it. But on the other, I think it would be funny/more accurate if it was completely flipped.

Like, he's a country boy whose culture thrives on farming. He probably grew up climbing trees and carrying baskets filled with apples and rice grains. Plus the obvious of Furret weighing 72 lbs./32.5 kg. He's probably not the strongest person ever, but he's definitely not weak.

ID Kieran though? Dude has spent the past few months doing nothing but training his Pokémon. The most exercise he gets is walking around the Terarium. Not to mention the fact that he doesn't eat or sleep. Which is pretty important in any sort of muscle gain. Also he's not spending time lifting a 72 lbs Furret anymore.

Idk, it's just funny to imagine Kieran helping around the League Club Room or whatever and no longer being able to carry something that he could've done easily before.

Okay, so we know that heroes are afraid of losing trust and followers, just like influencers. are there heroes that a lot of people hate but have super annoying die-hard fans that keep them powerful? this could be kind of like a politician, could also kind of be like a regular controversial influencer. this might actually be implied already for Ahu or Dragon Boy.

how does being transgender work in this world? If you start passing, go out a lot, and like over time thousands of people believe you are cis, do you get free surgery? especially if you believe in yourself really hard about your gender identity, like how Nice believed that he could do it and that helped him get powers, or how Queen is implied to try and believe in herself a ton to be powerful based on the PVs.

if so do actors sometimes just shapeshift? I imagine cosplayers would go even more hardcore in this world. WAIT imagine an actor superhero who can shapeshift because people get really immersed in their acting.

We know that Sanguinius was alone for awhile after showing up on Baal, and there's the theory he was a slave. But I do wonder just what the deferalization process looked like because I do not believe for a fucking second that Sang wasn't feral as hell when he was found by the people of Baal. Kid was on his own for so long that I doubt he actually spoke at first if he was found at around seven or eight. And how does one go about making a feral mutant primarch less feral? I mean they evidently did, but like, he wasn't like Leman who had the fenrisian wolves who would've socialized him,( and according to theories may just straight up be genetically altered humans-) Sanguinius didn't get that. I mean neither did Konrad. That explains a lot about Konrad actually. I mean Konrad is pretty feral so he makes sense, Sanguinius? He's like so sweet, kind, sassy as hell, unless he's on the battle field in which case that's a different story. I have no idea how it's only there that he's feral as shit, but the rest of the time he acts like civilized individual. I mean he could be more feral then I realize considering I've never read the books, but I do wish we explored that side more. Like give me feral hawk of a primarch that was probably kinda hard to deal with at first, because I doubt he at first recognized the Blood as not enemies.

Nice x Wreck is a pairing I love, and I am obsessing over right now! I really wish we got to see more of their dynamic, and just more of Nice in general. Bro got his 8 seconds of screen time and went “peace!” /lh

So umm.. just gonna take and run with the little parts of ep 2 giving audience an insight to their relationship and trying to explain why I love them so much in sane words— let’s go let’s go

⋆˚࿔ The bond Nice had with Wreck to truly TRULY be himself— sacrificing ideals and letting himself breathe for once, Wreck’s devotion to their relationship even if it wasn’t for the benefit of him!! It’s what makes Wrice such a plausible and appealing ship to me.

⋆˚࿔ We know that Nice canonically has OCD, or at the least extreme extreme perfectionism always trying to maintain this perfect persona of the perfect hero, the perfect boyfriend… But we don’t see that completely when Nice was with Wreck. When LL is developing habitual traits of OCD when we was “becoming” Nice, it was things like flicking the small droplet of water off the soda can— and how Moon explains he would never do something as silly and messy as play with food. But in a flashback scene, we see Nice and Wreck sharing a beer, teasing each other, and Nice even initiating spilling a drink onto him! On purpose! He let his perfection be not so perfect. We see the smile of just letting himself go a little bit. He looks so happy in those memories :(

⋆˚࿔ Wreck, in the beginning and throughout their careers is completely selfless, happily playing nemesis to boost Nice’s trust value!! He didn’t care that he would be a sideline supervillain, as long as it meant he got to fight Nice. As long as it meant he played some role in his life. It didn’t matter.

⋆˚࿔ In the really short moments we get about Nice and Wreck, their relationship that not Moon, not Ms. J, and not any fan would ever see— was the real Nice. Authentic care for one another, and making sacrifices for each other. That’s what makes this ship for me.

On Flowers and The Meanings in Lies of P

Addendum: This took me like 2 hours to write and I still have so much to say on so many other things but I must temper myself and disappear from here again (inevitably to go write more fanfiction).

lol I'm actually making a real post on Tumblr because IG isn't enough. I don't actually intend to discuss this with anyone, I just wanted to muse in a space that isn't it restricted by characters or the space on my phone screen.

SPOILERS AHEAD for LIES OF P and THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY BTW

Many things in the game have some too-specific-to-be-nothing details, such as being able to liken some of Dante's Divine Comedy (especially Paradiso) and most recently potentially John Milton's Paradise Lost to Lies of P (somewhere on my IG and my BSky, but tbh Lies of P deals a lot with Christianity, see La Pietà and The Creation of Adam both by Michelangelo) and the direct reference of The Picture of Dorian Gray regarding the portrait, and potentially Frankenstein (I'll be reading after Paradise Lost). These are just literary references, but I believe even Galileo Galilei has a nod or two in the game (particularly, celestial bodies and orreries).

Also: Dante, Michelangelo, Galileo Galilei, and Carlo Collodi are all from Florence, Italy and John Milton really liked visiting Florence. The web of connections continues :D

But back on topic: last week or so, I was playing Lies of P after a bit of Bloodborne and I noticed something on Geppetto's desk:

On his desk, he has an article about daffodils (narcissus flowers). Now, this is a strangely specific detail for EnvArt to have, isn't it? Except when you consider that flowers have specific associations in Lies of P. So why would Geppetto have this article on his desk, and why Geppetto?

The Meaning of Daffodils

Daffodils have mixed positive and negative symbolism. They are associated with the Greek mythology of Narcissus, who fell so deeply in love with his reflection in a pond that he never moved and eventually died. In his stead, a yellow flower named after him grew.

In most cultures, daffodils symbolize rebirth, rejuvenation, new beginnings, good fortune and wealth (if multiple), and hope/optimism/strength (particularly in the context of cancer or hardship). It's a spring flower, growing after winter, and a bright and cheerful flower. Daffodils, thus, have a mostly positive connotation.

But flowers tend to have multiple meanings.

Daffodils, because of their name sake and depending on the color, can also symbolize selfishness (purple) and broken love. If there is a single daffodil, that might represent misfortune (depending on the cultural context).

At first glance, I had assumed that the positive daffodil connotation represented his hope in P and his desire to make Carlo reborn.

Geppetto and Daffodils

To find this article on Geppetto's desk, especially if you know the truth about Geppetto, it makes sense depending on your interpretation of how he treats Carlo/P, disregarding the sheer chaos he caused just to accomplish his goal.

If you believe that Geppetto truly loved Carlo and loves P, then the daffodils in the article might represent broken love (and possibly remorse). He does feel regret for having ignored Carlo to the point of emotional neglect and not even showing up for graduation, and perhaps this is why he puts so much care into making sure P looks exactly as Carlo did whenever he found his corpse. The Real Boy ending and the implications of it suggest that Geppetto truly wanted his son back

[My camp] If you believe that Geppetto used P as a means to an end and Carlo's rebirth was actually to make him feel like Dad of the Year (y'all even Neowiz knows he's a shit dad lol), then the daffodils in the article might actually represent selfishness and narcissism. Perhaps he loved the idea of having a son, and by manipulating Carlo's memories within P, he would get his son back and maintain the "lie" of being a trustworthy dad (which this is a question he asks you).

Additionally, to tie in some Picture of Dorian Gray (by Oscar Wilde, who was gay, but that's a whole other topic, and I think there's at least one other post that talks about homosexuality in Lies of P). One of the themes of Dorian Gray is vanity and narcissism and the ruination they cause. So in love with himself to the point that almost everyone except Lord Henry is beneath him, Dorian Gray drives at least two people to suicide and murders Basil when he confesses his love and offers to help him come back from the corruption.

When Geppetto states that he had D. Gray paint the portrait of Carlo to capture his soul, and having the article of Daffodils and Narcissus on his desk, I myself am inclined to think this was all out of self-pity and ego.

Tonight, I had an epiphany after defeating Romeo again on NG+2. There is a specific reason why white lilies are depicted with P's P-Organ on the title screen.

After all, you'd expect to see roses, wouldn't you?

The Meaning of White Lilies

White lilies symbolize commonly symbolize purity and innocence, and in Christianity, divine femininity (in association to the Virgin Mary). Like daffodils, they are also a spring flower and can represent fertility, rebirth, renewal, and new beginnings.

White lilies are also associated with the crown chakra, which is focused in the cranium or the top of the head. The associated color of this chakra is violet (the color of nobility and royalty).

In literature, poetry, and art; white lilies are often used as a symbol of the devotion and love in addition to purity and innocence. It can even mean protection by a spiritual guardian.

White lilies are often used in ceremonies. They can mean commitment and used for marriages. They can also represent death and funerals, but still for positive connotations, as death can mean purification of the soul.

Romeo and White Lilies

Romeo's association to white lilies in the title screen is underscored by the background also being his precious theater set on fire. There are hints that become more like statements starting at the end of Chapter 4 when you receive "Divine Service" from Cecile if you help her, through Chapter 5 (Malum District), through Chapter 6 to the climax where we learn most of what happened to Romeo after Carlo's death (including the whisper "Carlo..." upon talking to Sophia about the necklace). From Chapter 7 through the rest of the game, it's Romeo that exposes Geppetto's lies.

Romeo and Carlo were in a deeply romantic and most likely sexual relationship indicated by all of the text descriptions/lyrics of "Divine Service", "Someday", "Fascination", and other items, and loading screens ("brotherly love" is often a way to circumvent saying "gay" in games/writing). There is no doubt, especially when Romeo's Ergo catalyzes the beginning of P's transformation by reminding him of who he is. Moreover, Romeo's dialogue all show a desire to protect Krat and a desire to protect Carlo/P. When he is the one to expose Geppetto's lies, that is the moment that he himself is trying to keep P safe. There is never any malice, even when Romeo says he must kill P to stop it all; he is reluctant to harm him and praises him in his final message.

White lilies persist on the title screen until P arrives on the beach ahead of the Isle of Alchemists or so, as if to tell the player that P isn't alone. And we know he's not, but Romeo is absorbed into him and, as he says upon player death, he'll "always be with [Carlo]".

To draw another connection to The Picture of Dorian Gray and flowers, Romeo's role to Carlo/P is very similar to that of Basil (the painter) if we are to assume that Geppetto is analogous to Lord Henry. Both Basil and Romeo sought to protect the boys they loved, only to be denigrated and murdered by their manipulators Lord Henry and Geppetto.

Bonus: there exists a Stargazer lily, so this might potentially be a nod to this species

Tidbits on Roses and Romeo & Carlo/P

Roses are often associated with Romeo, particularly because he is associated with red to contract with P's blue. Given that both Romeo and Carlo lived at the Rose Estate and that "Fascination" record is adorned with roses, it's hard to miss. Even "Divine Service" mentions in the description.

The DLC trailers show roses in association with the Legendary Stalker (even a closeup on her Monad Badge), and Fox says that P's fighting style is reminiscent if not exactly like the Legendary Stalker's style. So perhaps Romeo's association to roses might specify that he is Carlo/P's childhood lover. And since P has the ability to put Ergo he's absorbed elsewhere (as shown that he gave Sophia back her Ergo), Romeo continues to be carried in his heart.

Did he hear that right he very much hoped he didn't but then the kid laughed out "that big guy draken dating y/n really damn?" he walked behind him with a immense glare an aura of imaginary fire basically surrounding him as his low tone asked the stupid highschooler about where he even heard such a thing he immediately stuttered out the stupid rumor that everybody thought you were dating draken because you were always together he cracked his knuckles with angered eyes the kids hadn't seen him because of his height peering next to you so they assumed draken was the boyfriend Mikey was enraged by the thought pointed at himself like a kid annoyed "Im the boyfriend Mikey sano, draken is not you hear me" he resisted beating the kid up because he didnt want to get kicked out and not be able too see you pitied him he walked to your classroom sitting down the teacher sighing not like Mikey would ever listen to him as he scooted closer to you wrapping his arms around you with a frown like a kid seriously what had gotten into him "I'm your boyfriend" he shouted a little too loudly making you flush with widened as eyes at his words some kids and the teacher laughed at his loud proclamation but he payed them no mind

Facts about my Odyseidon that no one asked for!

Poseidon 🌊

1. Poseidon actually hates touch from other people unless he's closer to them and/or they're someone still in their youth; such as children or even Telemachus

2. He actually enjoys learning things from mortals and sometimes lives among them to see what their habits are like, although he doesn't do this very often and doesn't understand new things; it's why Hermes constantly calls him an old man.

3. He hums Odysseus to sleep when he has a nightmare, he wasn't aware he liked his singing until then.

4. Poseidon thinks about Odysseus relatively a lot, though he doesn't like admitting it unless it's too Odysseus himself

5. His love language is gift giving, words of affirmation, and physical touch; only if he initiates first at the beginning.

6. His favorite color isn't blue, it's whatever color reminds him of Odysseus; currently his favorite color is red or "the embers from a fire"

7. His hair is always cold because it looks like an ocean, his curls are white and poofy to look like seafoam.

8. He has a merman form, most of the time he chooses not to use it unless he needs to travel fast

9. Poseidon will yap about Odysseus if asked

10. He doesn't hate Zeus entirely, only when he interferes with his life and people he cares about.

11. He sees Telemachus as a son and wants to find a way to bring another kid into his life with Odysseus

12. He is outrageously tall and chooses to be that way. Most of the time he is between 6 or even 7 feet tall

1. He loves fruit. He can eat meat but sometimes it's hard for him because of what happened with the cow his crew killed

2. He has one brown eye on his right eye and a grey/blue eye on his left. He forgets he has it all the time

3. He has multiple scars but forgets where they all came from except the one where his crew committed mutiny.

4. His hands shake when he holds weapons because of PTSD

5. Odysseus is deeply in love with Poseidon more than he realizes himself. When he yaps about him he really gets lost in thought

6. He loves gifts from Poseidon, in fact the ring is the one thing he held dearest to him.

7. He actually wants to marry Poseidon, but he's too much of an overthinker to know if he should propose or wait until Poseidon does.

8. Odysseus has started to like his hair being braided by Poseidon because it reminds him of Penelope and how far he's gotten with Poseidon to just be comfortable around him

9. He annoys Athena with his ramblings

10. He wonders if he's a good father, but whenever he sees Telemachus smile at him he's always reassured of that

11. He's okay with physical touch, but he prefers not to have it suddenly from strangers. Always ask for permission, this guy is traumatized

12. Bros short. He is 5'4 and is own son is taller than him

Just my opinion!

I feel very sorry for all the GoBB creatures, but especially Banban.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems that Case 6 was the only one who was introduced to his donor and this is... Terrible.

They ALL live on other people's memories, knowledge and feelings, but only Banban knows about it (although he denies it), and as for me, it is many times worse, as if he lived in ignorance. I don’t even want to know what it’s like when you’re just living, and then it turns out that your whole life is a lie. He has a second side that takes control over him with the help of evil and the same pain. And he, again, suffers greatly from this.

He seems to be sincerely trying to fix the situation and help, but the main character doesn't seem to care.

I just really hope he survives and appears in Chapter 6, otherwise, well, why did they reveal it to us more than anyone else? :_)
