do you enjoy consuming bread, if so, which bread gives your mouth hole the most satisfying experience?
okay so this is weirdly specific and i've never actually had it but
a month or so ago i made bread with really old yeast and it didn't rise at all. nobody else in my family wanted to eat it so it was just me up against a congealed, very solid slab of nutritional value
but the TEXTURE...
i think if someone combined that with the taste of like rye or sourdough or garlic bread my mouth would be very pleased with existence

so about this
turns out I'm just dumb
I was using Vector3Int.forward and Vector3Int.back instead of left and right, which meant it was adding an infinite number of other Z coordinates to a list that was only supposed to contain X and Y coordinates.
time to go rewrite my code from yesterday!
okay, it's happening. I'm trying to work in Unity and failing. hooray!
what, dear reader? are you asking why I'm happy about this? no? well, I'm telling you anyway.
back when I was learning scratch off of tutorials and stuff and tried to go off on my own and do my own thing, I sucked, at first! then I started getting better and better, and now I'm good at scratch.
...so when an attempt to make a custom floodfill for a tilemap decided to infinite-loop itself several times before I finally conceded to using the regular floodfill method, I was both frustrated that I couldn't work it out myself and happy that I was suffering.
so guess what I'm doing next? something that I'll have to code manually that I don't have a tutorial for, that I've never actually done before, that I am 100% guaranteed to fail miserably at!
and there's not even a built in version of it in unity!

AGH I have posted WAY too many times in the past few hours. But this is a special occasion! For reference: I'm currently trying to do this type of thing in Unity:

oh yeah, and these are our good friends Murb the fruit bat and Pumpkaloupe the pumpkaloupe. They're from a scratch project I'm on and off working on, and they will be helping us explain things.
see those things that they're standing on? those are tiles. and what's nifty is that not only are they tiles, they're all the same tile, just rotated. that is what I am currently trying to accomplish in Unity.
but it is. Very late, for me, right now. So I think I'll do this tomorrow- but I've made more progress on my indie game today than I have in the past year, so that's really good!

gah I just figured out that the version of unity I've been using is two years outdated. No wonder I couldn't use the TileChangeData class.
