GWAINCELOT WEEK 2023

Hello all! This July I'll be hosting the first ever (!!!!) Gwaincelot Week!

TIMING: The event will run from Saturday, July 15th to Friday, July 21st. Prompts will be posted the day before it begins.

PROMPTS: Each day will have two one-word prompts, one trope prompt, and one dialogue prompt. You can choose to do all at once or ignore a few - it's completely up to you. The seventh day is creator's choice.

POSTING: PLEASE REMEMBER TO TAG YOUR POSTS WITH #gwaincelot-week and add them to the AO3 collection! This blog will function as an archive for all your beautiful submissions, but I need to be able to find them!

Immortal Leon and Merlin take turns being the Responsible One (bec there's no way Leon stay responsible for 1500+ years continuously).

The day the Knights and Gwen return from Avalon, it's Merlin's turn to be Responsible. He's losing his mind because they're just pure chaos around bec the Knights and Gwen are buzzing with energy. He gave them some basics rules and instructions, but it's not enough bec:

"Gwaine turn the stove off, we have dryer now! Oh fuck it's on fire"

"Percival that's a cooking pot not a bowl. Wait no don't put water in the cereal box!"

"Gwen please don't plant those flowers, they're artificial. They don't need soil."

"Elyan get away the toaster! Plastic forks don't go with the toaster either."

"Arthur the telly isn't going to attack you please just change the damn channel to a romcom!"

"Lancelot that's not chocolate that's soap."

The entire time, Leon is just eating crisps and enjoying the show (and low key ensuring no one dies). He had been the only sane person every single day in Camelot, so now he gets to relax. He refuses to help. In fact, he aids the chaos subtly.

The others figure that if Leon is sitting calmly and enjoying everything then it's probably just Merlin being a mother hen.

Merlin just wants to take a nap until it's Leon's turn again.
