an update

hey everyone, sorry for not posting anything for several weeks. every time someone requests a song i feel bad bc i know i’ve fallen super far behind. i just started college, so the past couple weeks i’ve been taking the time to adjust and figure out my classes, etc. but i have some free time now and i feel okay about where i’m at, like, emotionally, so i’m gonna start working through the asks. i’m gonna start with the oldest ones bc they’ve been waiting the longest. thanks for your patience!

hi! can i ask why you dont notate in sheet music? im just curious and i want to make it clear i dont take any umbrage with the way you do notate, just wondering! if you have an faq where you answer this i couldnt find it bc im on mobile, really sorry!!

hey, no need to apologize! short answer: i'm not good at it!

long answer: i started playing flute almost 5 years ago (which is insane to think about) and while i was practicing or whenever i was bored, i'd look up sheet music to songs i enjoyed. however, a lot of the sheet music websites online require you to pay for the full music—that is until i found this blog that transcribed mostly pop songs, basically exactly what i'm doing rn

ofc i started wanting to play more songs (mainly musical theater bc i am unfortunately both a band kid AND a theater kid, which i think are the two most insufferable things u can be) that i liked, but it wasn't on that site. so i decided to try to start learning how to notate the vocal line or melody of a song myself, then thought other people might like having it available to them too, and thus i created this blog in december 2020.

i'd definitely love to try to notate in sheet music someday though!
