One line on a white stick,
Isn’t that what you wanted?
Not pregnant, congrats,
and everybody laughs,
One line on a white stick,
Isn’t that what you wanted?
I don’t want to hold a babe,
Not yet, not yet, not yet,
One line on a white stick,
Isn’t that what you wanted?
It is, it is, i swear it is,
I don’t know why I’m changing,
One line on a white stick,
Isn’t that what you wanted?
Why does it feel so heavy,
Why doesn’t it feel like freedom?
One line on a white stick,
Isn’t that what you wanted?
I swear I didn’t know I wanted,
I didn’t plan or work for this,
One line on a white stick,
Isn’t that what you wanted?
I don’t know any more.
Maybe two lines would work.

Text
he isn’t watching the band,
he’s only looking at me,
and when i glance up i’m self conscious,
if only for a heartbeat
but i think i might love the feeling.
captured in hungry eyes
under neon lights,
i’m free and i’m falling,
he’d catch me,
i know it without asking
from the way i catch him watching.
