Soldier Poll Results

It's been a full week since the first set of polls went up, and that means we now have the results for the four aircraft of the Soldier playbook!

Most Smashable Plane: at 82.3% of votes being smash (and thus a total of 65 smash votes), the Markgraf Zerstörer B.

Least Smashable Plane: at 38.7% of votes being pass (and thus a total of 29 pass votes), the Kreuzer Spinne M3- I guess people just don't like rotary engines....

Most Popular Plane: at 137 votes, it's the Theler Kobra MD- Fitting, for one of the most common aircraft in Himmilgard. That and Erika reblogged it, of course.

Least Popular Plane: at 75 votes, the Kreuzer Spinne M3- but that doesn't really matter, given how it only got 4 votes less than the other two aircraft.

Most Average Plane: the average is 71.7% smash, and the Theler Kobra MD gets closest to that! No comment.

In the years leading up to the Great War, and in countries that were not belligerents at various times, there was a roaring trade in ‘kit planes’, aircraft designed to be assembled by the purchaser. Oftentimes, a kit would consist of little more than the engine, steel parts, and instructions.

Powered by a pair of small, air-cooled V8 engines, and unusually quiet while running, the Braun Model VJ was a very popular kit plane known for its high speed and simple assembly. Military units began to purchase them as irregular observers, often out of pocket by commanders, owing to the fact they would outrun any early-war aircraft.

The most notable feature of the Model VJ, other than its blistering speed and lack of ailerons, is the ability to carry a lightweight radio, controlled by a passenger. This feature was rare originally, but became standard as the military used it more frequently.
