Now You See Me... Now You- Oh No
Whoops. Ya'll saw me. New hyperfixacation ever since the new trailer dropped and I got slapped by an old obsession. SO you know what time it is! Time for some lovely Fan fic food. BECAUSE THIS FANDOM IS SO FREAKING SMALL IT HAS NO FAN FIC FOR ME TO READ AND (as Chase would say) HAS YUCKED ON MY YUM. So please bear with me. It's been a long, magic driven, hands tired from learning card tricks, week.
This story revolves around Marx (female, 16). She lives on her own, due to her parents ALWAYS traveling for work and only sending her money as a form of contact. She is obsessed with the NYSM franchise, and knows a bit of card tricks herself, but gave up on it after her parents said that they weren't coming back for Christmas (when she was going to show them her tricks). Now, she doesn't watch the movies much, and her love of magic has slowly, stared to die. Until four stranger appear in her apartment. Science? I think not. Magic? Most definitely.
"The closer you look, the less you'll actually see."
That quote has stuck with me. I don't know why, but somehow, it applies to people. The closer I look at someone, the harder it is to see who they truly are, but if you take a step back? The view can change in an instant.
It's one of the few days it rains in California. Well, the LA part that is. My umbrella is currently being abused by big fat droplets falling from the sky. People run past, hands trying to cover their heads from the onslaught.
My parents have an apartment in Burbank, right by the mall, so it makes my life a whole lot easier to get simple things. Probably one of the smartest and dumbest parenting decisions they've made.
On one hand, I'm right in the heart of Burbank, so anything can be accessible meaning I can live my best life, and only walk a block to get to a grocery store.
On the other, I'm right in the heart of crime too. meaning I have to carry at least a pocket knife with me wherever I go.
I stroll down the street, swinging the bag of groceries. It's only one today, because I just went the other day, but ran out of essentials.
I come up to my apartment building and nod to the foreman. He's always a nice guy, offering to help me whenever I look like I could use it. Even giving me a home cooked meal now and then because my parents are just, you know, never here. He's nice like that.
I click the button for my floor, and shake the umbrella back into it's dry little case. The elevator chimes, and I step out onto my floor.
There's only a few apartments on my floor. Each has two bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, and a laundry unit shoved into the corner. It's nice to have, and even nicer as a 16 year old all on her own.
Occasionally there's a few bumps and scratches with the neighbors, but nothing too nasty. Just asking the other to be a bit quieter at a certain time, then usually thanking them with some kind of baked good.
By the way, this behavior is like, SUPER uncommon for LA. Usually we just ask the other to be quiet and never speak again. Then again, all the people on my floor are in their 70's and above so I can't really make mention on how they act.
I walk up to my door, unlock it, and step inside. The glorious smell of just baked cookies, and pine fills the air.
Did I forget to mention? In a week its Christmas Eve. And I'm spending yet another alone. I try to keep the place festive, having decorated, and baked, and everything in between. It just doesn't feel the same when you have no one to eat those cookies and cakes with.
"Where are we..?" I freeze, keys dangling in my hand. Carefully, I set down my bag, not making a sound, and creep around the corner.
Four people stand in my living room, looking around confused. Three men, one woman. I can hear them all talking, and they sound like they don't know where they are.
I move to take a step backwards, but one of them see's me. It's the youngest looking one with short brown hair.
"Hey-! You- Stop right there!" He points at me just as the others turn. I take a step back, reaching for my pocket knife. Part of me wants to just run, the other part wants to know why they are in my apartment. Plus, I can't shake the feeling I've seen them before...
"You, Kid, do you know where we are?" The bald one's talking now. Gesturing to my apartment. He goes to take a step forward, but the other longer haired man stops him when he see's me take a step back.
"Merritt stop. Look, what's your name?" The guy looks me in the eye, all of them stare at me. That's it. They're from Now You See Me. Or at least are pretending to be I guess.
"Marx. Now what are you doing in my apartment-?" The youngest- who looks like Jack cuts me off.
"Aren't you a bit young for an apartment?" he looks me up and down.
"Aren't you a bit old for that phone case?" I cross my arms and look pointedly at his normal black phone case, that has a rubber ducky attached to the end.
"Look Marx, you look just as confused as we do, so why don't we just talk about this like civil people?" The Daniel looking one reasons. One option is to scream as loud as I can, and sprint in the opposite direction, but I kinda want to hear them out...
Call it magic, but I have a feeling this isn't going to end well.
#now you see me#now you don't#fanfiction#fanfic#now you see me now you don't#x y/n#x reader#now you see me x reader#now you see me x y/n#someone please help me my brain can't take anymore#learned to many card tricks this week#plus side I can now throw cards#I can also do the hand spring thing with them#my parents think I'm insane#My friends think I've just known how to do card tricks for ages

Wait For It
I am so sorry I haven't updated in a minute, life became a whirlwind, and suddenly the time I usually write, I'm wrapped up in a heated blanket sleeping... sorry about that! I'm going to try for a better schedule, but until I'm able to work out what works best, please just stay posted!
"I want to learn about your world."
That was the sentence that changed my life forever, and I mean FOREVER. After I said that, life just... flew.
Jasper and Alice were amazing, they always helped me figure things out, and find my footing as a human in the supernatural world. I tried to get close to the wolves too, but unfortunately, they wanted nothing to do with me.
Though that Seth kid does like to hang around when I'm there, always trying to find things to talk about. It's kind of cute actually. But alas, he's a freshman, and the ONLY rule of dating in high school, don't. Date. The. Freshman.
That senior does not love you girls, he's just a creep.
As much as I love learning about there world (and the awesome speedy piggy backs that Emmett gives), I'm not sure if I really want to be apart of it like Bella does.
Recently we were talking and she said that she wants Edward to turn her. Like that's awesome and stuff, but at such a young age? I honestly don't know...
"Ren, you about ready?" I turn around and see Edward and Bella standing in the doorway. I laugh and nod, grabbing my jacket and phone.
I hope in the back seat, and Edward starts the Jeep. He invited us to go play baseball with his family, which will be fun. I have my phone open for notes on the rules of vampire baseball, just in case they are different.
I let Edward and Bells have their cute moment, and skip on over to Jasper and Alice.
"Hi Ren~" Alice hums, skipping over. Emmett and Rosalie throw me a nod, and Esme calls a greeting.
"Hey there" I grin. "Give me a run down on the rules of 'vampire baseball' so that I'm not thrown too off guard over here" Jasper chuckles.
"There's not much different to be honest, just faster, and louder." His southern drawl seems to be coming out a lot more today. I'm about to respond, when Alice calls out letting everyone know it's time.
Bella is the Umpire for right now, so I just get to watch. Honestly I'm cool with that.
I sit over on a rock, watching the speeding vampires run about when my phone buzzes with a text.
UNKNOWN
Did you really think you could hide from us, little flower?
What the hell?
UNKNOWN
You left to protect those you love... Only to lead us right to where more of them live...
No... No, the only person who calls me 'Little Flower' and talks like this... He's dead. I watched him die. There's no way he could still-
UNKNOWN
For someone so smart, you sure pull a lot of dumb moves...
I'll be seeing you soon, little flower.
Oh hell no, if he really is alive, which it's highly impossible that he is, there is no way I'm letting him come to Forks-
UNKNOWN
Unless that is you want to meet me where we first met..? You have until the 23rd to decide where you want this to go down...
The 23rd, that's 3 weeks away. Why is this person giving me so much time..? It doesn't add up, and the place we first met, burned down. It burned down with him INSIDE it.
"STOP-" I snap my phone shut, head whipping up to where Alice stands. She says something, but only the people with enhanced hearing can hear.
"Ren, why don't you come over here for a minute." Bella calls, taking her hair down from it's pony tail.
I start to make my way over when 3 people emerge from the forest. More vampires.
Suddenly, I'm encircled by the Cullen's, standing next to Bella. Jasper grips my arm. He must have sped over or something.
The groups exchange what can barely be called pleasantries, before me and Bella are moved away towards the cars.
Then the wind hits.
What happens next will always make me laugh.
"You brought snacks..." The vampire named James growls, taking a step forward.
The Cullen's rush forward, but it's one second to late. The vampire stands, correction, towers over me.
He looks at me like he expects me to run or something. So I give him my most bored expression ever.
"You smell... Divine." He reaches a hand up and puts a piece of hair behind my ear "Just like how he said you would..." He grabs my arm, trying to bite it, but before his teeth sink in, I do the unthinkable.
I bite him instead.
To be more specific, I rip a chunk of his arm out with my teeth, then break his hand off.
He stumbles back as I spit out the chunk of arm in my mouth.
"You taste disgusting by the way." he looks at me like I've lost it, but also is enraged. "Oh, you probably want this back." I toss him his hand, then move over to where Jasper and Alice stand, just as shocked as everyone else.
I keep my court face on, suppressing the biggest smile ever as they rush us to the cars. I hear James yelling in the distance.
"I... What- What was the thought process behind that move?" Jasper asks when we get in the car. I sit in between him and Alice.
"No clue" I say laughing. I put my head in my hands, still trying to figure out what I just did. "his arm really did taste disgusting though."
"Really, that's shocking." Bella mutters from the front.
The rest of the car ride is pretty silent. The part I'm dreading is when we get back to their house.
Edward paces the room while we all sit in silence. The air is thick with tension. WE just found out that now James will stop at NOTHING to try and kill us. More specifically me.
Apparently vampires don't like it when you bite off a chunk of their arms then rip their hands off.
The reality of what happens has slowly started to sink in. Every second my heart beats a little faster. I know they all can hear it, but no one mentions it.
Bella just keeps going on about being so sorry and trying to figure out what to do.
"Ren, maybe things wouldn't be so bad if you hadn't... I don't know, bitten the guy?!" She finally whirls on me. The room goes quiet.
"Would you rather he have bitten me?" I try to keep my voice monotone, but emotion starts to creep through.
"Of course not. I'm just saying that maybe it wasn't the freaking best course of action!" She yells at me. You could hear a pen drop with how quiet the room got.
My phone buzzes on the table. She picks it up before I can grab it.
"Who the hell is Unknown, and why did he just tell you that he's taking the time frame down to the 15th?" She looks at me. Oh shit, so he must have met James, given how he already seemed to know of me... Quick lie.
"Just a friend from Cali. Don't worry, I didn't bite him too." I try to throw in a joke, but it just causes Bella to go off.
My heart rate quickens fast now. She gets closer to me, and I've stopped even trying to listen to her. The others have tried to get her to calm down, Jasper even tried to do his emotion thing to no avail though.
I think the stress of everything that's happened finally snapped in her and she's just taking it out on me, because when she starts ranting about how I always talk about Cali her voice gets louder.
When she gets into my personal space is when I draw the line though.
"BELLA SHUT UP." She stops "Look. You're mad, I get it. However, right now we've got a bit of a bigger problem to deal with, so why don't we deal with all of this later and focus on... I don't know, not dying?"
She starts to say something, but I hear a crash of window cutting her off.
Then everything goes black.

Hamilton Goes To Hogwarts..?
Yup, you heard me. I've been hearing about it a bit, and my HP obsession just came back. You know what that means! Please know that all of these are just fun little ideas, and if you want to change their houses go for it:)
Ham is a Ravenclaw
Laurens is a Griffendor
Laff is a Ravenclaw
Herc is a Huffelpuff (You can not tell me that that man is not a big softie underneath)
Burr is a Slytherin
Washington is a fourth year Griffendor
Jefferson is a Slytherin
Maddison is a Huffelpuff
They all like to stick together, but often get into lively debates, where by the end, wands are drawn
No one knows how Ham isn't a slytherin, but then he pulls some wicked smart thing only he and Laff could pull off and it suddenly makes sense now
Herc mends ALL of the clothes whenever they get into a spell fight, and adds tiny details of personalization to each of the cloaks when no one is looking
Laurens and Ham sneak out quite a bit to hang out under the stars, Laff will always cover for Ham, while Washington (He unapproved of breaking the rules but understands the young love) will cover for Laruens.
Ham ends up going WITH harry into the area for the philosophers stone, and literally just walks around the chess board while they are playing, but gets knocked out cold by a rouge piece at the end of the game.
The schulyer sisters come in for the triwizard tournament, cue EVERYONE GOING INSANE FOR THEM BECAUSE OMG ITS THE SCHULYER SISTER MARRY ME-
Nobody knows where the hell these kids come from. Some people have tried to follow them home, but fail continusily.
They all live together in an Apt in Hogsmead right above a bookstore that Laff's folks run.
They know a weird amount about muggle life, and it's history, and an insane amount on Wizard history. Which is usually how the debates start.
DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES TRY TO BULLY ANY ONE OF THEM IT WILL RESULT IN YOU BEING MOBBED
Draco learned the warning above the hard way when not only did the squad pull up, BUT EVERY SINGLE FREAKING HOUSE AS WELL- LIKE WTF GUYS HOW- CRABB, GOYLE WHY ARE YOU ON THEIR SIDE?!
At Christmas Ham gets a BUNCH of law books.
During the battle of hogwarts Laff hands something to his squad, but none of the professors can see
There are suddenly loud pops, and screams as Laff stands on a rock screaming VIVA LA REVOLUTION!
Guns. That's what Laff was passing out.
Surprisingly, the guns work REALLY well. They almost hit Voldemort, but because of the Horcrux thing it doesn't work.
Someone tried to kill Herc, and all of a sudden there were like 7 teenage boys lunging at them.
The corpse had bite marks in it..?
People think that they are all Animagi. Or at least Washington. Washington has to be a dragon of some kind because that man can get to the highest of places with NO MAGIC-
They all like to drink butterbeer in the Ravenclaw common room together after long days.
No one comments on it. Or else they might be the next corpse
Ham once accidentally made a new spell. It was put on the list of unforgivable curses.
You better believe it was used in the battle of hogwarts.

Say No To This
Part Four of History Has It's Eyes On You
Lord help me. Please give me advice on how the actual HELL I am supposed to be able to process what I just saw.
Sure, I believed that maybe they could be vampires, but wolves? What's next, I get a late letter from Hogwarts via owl telling me I need to come there?
That is not foreshadowing. Not in this universe. Maybe in another. Lord help us all if harry potter was real here too. How would we explain Cedric? Edward just decided to get another name and oh no... He's dead now-
"Are you okay..?" Alice's voice slices through my thoughts once we get up to my room. I turn around to face them and gather my thoughts with a breath.
"What just happened?" They shift uncomfortably "Or better yet, did no one really think to tell me? I mean, Bella knew for Christ sake! How long did you think something of that... That magnitude could be kept a secret?"
"It's not like that Ren-"
"And honestly, did you really think I wouldn't figure you all out?" I pull out my research stacks "I've been collecting data for weeks on everything I've noticed and been comparing it to myths like a mad person!" They stare open mouthed at the box of papers and books. Jasper walks up to where I threw it onto the bed and riffles through the papers.
"Ren... This is really impressive-" Oh none of that bull.
"Were you ever planning on telling me." My rage has settled into a cool hard rock. I'm always at my best when this happens, and they seem to know it.
"No..." Alice mumbles. I take a deep breath and sit down onto my desk chair, taking it all in.
"But now that you do know" Jasper starts "Can we explain?" I level him a look.
"If you weren't going to I'd be pretty upset." I reply coolly, my 'court voice' is working overtime right now.
They both explain about their world, and how Vampires and Werewolves do exist, but not like in the myths. They explain that they are vegetarians, and how the sun doesn't actually burn them, but make them sparkle. They explain about how Bella found out, and the fact that she tried really hard to get them to tell me, but due to laws they were unable to.
I sit for a moment, processing all of the information that they just gave me. Filing it into different categories, and making sense of it all.
"Ren... I know it's probably not the best time, but we do have to ask you a question." Alice look over to Jasper.
"Do you want to be apart of this world?" I whip my head up at Jasper "Not like, being turned, but do you want to know about it, live in it, be apart of it."
Lord, show me how to say no to this, I really gotta say no to this. I... Should I say no to this?
NO!
It would be fun.
NO! NO-
I would learn so many new things
SAY NO TO THIS-
Those who dwell in the dark do not grow. I could learn about a new world, their laws, how their worlds work. I don't want to miss this shot to learn
YOU GOTTA SAY NO TO THIS- PLEASE YOU GOTTA SAY NO TO THIS-
I'm not throwing away my shot.
Sorry for the shorter post! It was mainly just focused around Ren trying to figure out what to do, so that she could move on.
Since we're now a few chapters in, does anyone know what I'm naming the chapters after?
Please let me know what you think of this story down in the comments so that I know ya'll are there!
In case I don't see you, Good morning, Good evening, and Good Night~

History Has It's Eyes On You Master List
What happens when Renavier (Ren) Swan moves back to her dads hometown with her half sister after an "accident" back in sunny California leaving her without a mother or guardian, where she's been living for the past five years.
After agreeing to go live with Charlie, she moves to the depressing town of Forks where her life gets all messed up. She is more commonly known as "Dandelion" an online presence known around the world. She's known for her surfing, climbing, her love of history, and lively debates with her friends. What she's most known for though, is the change she brings to wherever she goes. If something is wrong, she won't hesitate to step up. Dive in head first and deal with the consequences later. She's been the starting cause for many "mini revolutions" to help make places fairer. The only catch? No one knows who she is. Or as the news anchors say, "Who's the face behind the persuasive, tactical genius that is Dandelion?"
She never thought that she'd move to Forks, given that almost nothing she enjoys is there. That is until she meets a certain family through Bella, and bonds over her love of history with one of it's members.
Part List:
Part One: History Has It's Eyes On You
Part Two: The Story Of Tonight
Part Three: Meet Me Inside
Part Four: Say No To This
Part Five: Wait For It

Meet Me Inside
Third part of History Has It's Eyes On You
The Cullens leave just before midnight, inviting us over to their house if anything goes wrong.
As soon as they leave I race up into my room, mumbling about being tired and wanting to go to sleep. Bella just says goodnight before going into her own room.
As soon as I believe that she's sleeping, I open my computer to do some research. I race through articles on the internet, trying to learn as much as I can.
I don't get any sleep.
But I've learned that I'm not insane. I read a bunch of myths, and cross referenced them all to try and figure out what I heard them talking about. I made a notebook of all my findings, and got an answer that I'm not sure I'm ready to face.
There's no way Vampires are real. No way at all.
"Ren! Ready for school?" I glance up from the computer. I stayed up all night by accident.
Todays going to suck.
I have history first. Jasper and Alice give me a cheery hello, that I return in a mumble. I think Alice asks me if I'm okay, but my mind has already shut down and gone into sleep mode.
I only wake up when Peters slams a book on my desk.
"First disrespecting me in my class, now sleeping in it? Miss Swan what will your father think?" I look up at him groggily.
"Dunno, you should call him." I mumble, stretching out my stiff joints. After last night I'm done with this towns bull. Jasper shares a look with Alice while Peters lectures me on proper behavior in the classroom.
By the time he's done with his scolding the bell rings and I am up and out of there.
"Hey, Ren, are you okay? You usually don't fall asleep during history." I look over to find Alice keeping stride with me. Jasper is no where to be found.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just stayed up to late last night after you guys left." I take note of the color of her eyes. They are a yellow today, but were brown last night.
I've got to start keeping track of this stuff.
Over the next few weeks I collect data, and try to find any other plausible reason as to why there are so many inconsistences surrounding them.
Nothing.
I try to figure out the best course of action.
There is none.
I could corner one of them and ask them.
But then they would call me crazy.
Never in my life has my brain felt so jumbled, and I know every fact about the founding fathers that there is.
Turns out I don't ever have to ask the question.
"Are you kidding me?!" Paul screams at Jasper. I don't even know what this arguments about, but honestly it seems pretty intense. We've been standing in front of my house for ten minutes now.
What happens next will forever be burned into my memory.
Paul screams at the Cullens, then his body seems to contort. Shifting, and changing. Within moments, Paul isn't standing there, instead I'm met with a giant wolf.
Jasper and Alice rush in front of me with a speed so unnatural that it confirms all of my research.
Paul lunges at Jasper, but misses and his body crashes into me. Before I can even register what just happened, my head hits the ground and it goes black.
I'm not out for long, because I wake up exactly where I fell. Carlisle is crouched next to me asking if I'm okay, but I just stare at the giant wolf that is Paul.
"Ren, I really need you to answer. Are. You. Okay." He place a hand on my shoulder, it's coldness seeps through my shirt. All I do is nod, not taking my eyes off the creature.
Slowly it shifts back to being human again. Now I'm staring at a shirtless Paul.
What. The. Hell.
I stand up slowly. Everyone's eyes are on me, watching my reaction. Waiting to see what happens next.
Think Ren. We've been in confusing situations before, and the way you always get out of them is talking it through. So do that. Choose one of them to talk to, or two, and talk it through.
I look around the group, my breathing evening out. Who would be the best to have this lovely little conversation with.
"Jasper, Alice, would you mind meeting me inside?" My voice is a lot steadier that normal. 'court voice' is what my mom used to call it. Out of the corner of my eye I see Carlisle nod to them.
I don't wait for their response before calmly making my way up the steps and through the door, running a hand through my hair. I hear them follow behind me.
Just what have I gotten myself into...

The Story Of Tonight
Part two of History Has It's Eyes On You
Part of me is excited to get to know these strangers, the other really just wants to curl up in my bed and watch LOTR.
Bella calls up and says that she's just going to be in some sweats, and that I should throw on something comfy too. I throw on sweats and a sweatshirt, and flop onto my bed.
It'll be a bit before they get here, so why not read a little. I pull out the A. Hamilton Biography that I was reading (for the 16th time) and read that for a bit, turning on my reading playlist. When my brain got tired of History, I switched over to ADSOM the fantasy series that I'm reading at the moment.
I don't even notice how dark it got, or the fact that there were now people in the house until a shoe comes flying thought the door.
"Ren. Oh for the love of-" She gets cut off by someone, then I don't hear anything. I don't turn my music off, but I start to put the collection of books that gathered on my bed away.
"Be down in a minute, I have to put some books away." I call hoping that bells will just move on. I'm pretty sure she does until there's a creak on the floor boards behind me.
"Bella, I said I'd be down in a min-" I turn around to be met with Alice and Jasper. The later looking at the U.S. history books still scattered on my bed. I pull my headphones out, and quickly pause the music after realizing how ridiculously loud it was.
"Oh, sorry, I didn't here you come up." I shelve the last of the books in my arms, before grabbing some more off the bed.
"It's okay! We figured we'd save Bella from having to yell" I glance back at her, she's looking at the different art projects I just hung up. It took me ages to paint, or draw some of them.
"I'll be down in a minute, I just have to re-shelve some of these first." Neither of them move. Alright, I can just work around them that's fine.
"You're into U.S. History." It's not a question, it's a statement. Jasper looks at me from where he's now perched on the end of my bed flipping through the Civil War book I have out.
"Yeah, after class today I kind of thought that would have been obvious." I laugh as I grab some more off my nightstand. How many books did I bring? jeez.
"what happened in class?" Jasper chuckles as I give her a quick run down of what happened.
"Wow, no wonder you were the talk of the school!" She hums and turns back to my art "Did you make all of this?"
"most of it, the posters and stuff are from concerts and Amazon, but any of the paintings or drawings are all me." I pull out one of the drawers that holds my portfolios "Here's some more if you want to look through them" She eagerly takes it and starts to flip through.
Jasper helps me shelve the last couple of books then looks through the rest of my collection.
"To answer your earlier question, yes, I am into U.S. History. The revolution is my strong suit, but I know a fair share on the Civil War too." Alice looks up at Jasper before looking back down into the books.
"And what are your opinions on the Civil War?" Jasper sounds tense, wanting to continue the conversation but not knowing how.
"The same as most peoples to be honest." I plop down into my desk chair "It's sad that it happened, but I am happy with it's outcome, the ending of slavery and all. For the time it happened, I understand why people fought, since it was all they ever knew and change can be scary, but I like to believe that if they were alive now that their opinions would be different." It's probably a ridiculous notion, the idea that someone was still alive from that time, but if they were I would like to think that they would have changed.
"They would be." He says it with such conviction that it feels like he could be a person from that era. Maybe he's just a history nerd like me.
We end up chilling up in my room for a while longer, before the door bell rings and Bella yells at us to come down.
"Were you rearranging your entire room or something?" I roll my eyes and grab a slice of pizza from the counter.
"Can you really rearrange something if it was never arranged to begin with?" I take a bite of the pizza.
"whatever Socrates just come watch the movie with us." There's no more room left on the couch, so I chill on the floor with Alice. Halfway through, Jasper joins us on the ground murmuring something about having felt squished on the couch.
We're watching this old movie in black and white. It's supposedly one of Edwards favorites, personally, I find it boring.
I was on the verge of falling asleep when a loud crash comes from outside. I sit up, and look around at the others, they heard it too, but aren't moving, just watching the windows.
"I'll be right back." I whisper to them. Shadows can be seen moving around the windows, whispering, and trying to peer through, so I try to move as if I was just getting more food from the kitchen.
Instead I take a turn up the steps, fearing the worst. I have a pocket knife and a throwing ax up in my room. The ax is from one of my many "unconventional" hobbies.
I grab the ax just in case, and carefully open the attic window. I creep out onto the roof, creeping along silently.
There's five people walking around our house, looking for a way in. I stalk around to the front, and find three more people. They're all speaking in hushed tones, and finally one knocks on the front door.
"Emmett?"
"Sam." The two say in unison. the Sam guy shouts out to his friends, and they all come back around to the front.
I start to slink back to my room, I'll just pretend that I needed to get something.
"Sam? Jacob? What are you all doing here?" I hear Bella's voice ask. She must have come to the door too.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. Seth thought he smelled vampires in the area, and we didn't realize that you guys would all be over here." Vampires?
I creep back slowly toward my window, and slide back into my room. I still catch the last little bit of the conversation though.
"The pack and I were just doing some rounds when we caught a sent. Seth must have gotten confused and thought some new leeches were in town." I hear a dry laugh. That must be Edward.
"At least we're not smelly mutts roaming the night." Rosalie quips back right as I shut my window.
I put my ax back into it's hiding spot. Usually I would laugh at how much my brain just over reacted, but now I'm trying to figure out what I just heard.
"Ren? You coming back down?" Alice's voice calls from the living room once the door shuts. I mentally file away what I just learned to research later tonight, then I quickly compose myself and grab my sketch book. That'll be my excuse.
"Mmh! Sorry, I just couldn't find my book. Who was at the door?" We all retake our spots around the tv as Bella hits play on the movie.
"oh no one, someone got the wrong address." I choose not to mention the fact that everyone knows where everyone lives in this town, and watch the movie with everyone else.
Forks what are you hiding?

History Has It's Eyes On You
Renavier (Ren) Swan has been living in sunny California for the last 5 years of her life. After agreeing to go live with Charlie, her biological father, and her step sister Bella, she moves to the depressing town of Forks where her life gets all messed up.
"Are you sure you're good to go?" Charlie asks for the third time this morning. I assure him I'll be fine. I've been to new schools before, and it's nothing I can't handle.
I hope into the car with Bella. We're not the closest with each other, but slowly, over the past couple of days, we've gotten to know each other more and more. It's been nice. I helped her with her history homework, and she helped me catch up with math (my only weak subject).
She helped me set up my room, finding a nice spot for my surf board (which thankfully she didn't notice the dandelion next to one of the fins), put my books onto a book shelf (its a mix of Fantasy and History), and put up posters. Charlie was kind enough to give me the attic, so that I would have a bit of extra space. Bella was planning on moving out with her boyfriend Edward soon anyways, so she was more than happy to let me have a bigger room.
Today's plan is to meet some new people, joking the debate and chess club, and get ready for the new school year.
"Just so you know, the kids here... They can be a lot with, how to put it..." She tries to find the words.
"Fresh meat?" I try with a laugh. She returns it and we hope out of the car. Sure enough, people are looking. Probably more because I'm about half a shade darker than Bella, and we just got out of the same car, but my tan will disappear soon, and I'll go back to my normal olive skin tone pretty soon.
I checked my schedule against Bells, and we don't have any classes together. That's fine, I'll just see her at lunch. So I head off to my first class. History. I read the syllabus and we're studying the Civil War right now. It's not my personal favorite to study, I actually find the revolution more entertaining, but I still know more than most on it.
History's going to be a breeze.
"Miss Swan, are you going to insist on answering questions all class? Or would you like to allow others to answer and not deprive them of their learning environment too." My face turns bright red. I had just answered the last two questions because literally no one else knew the answer. If he didn't want to call on me he didn't have to?
"Oh I'm sorry mister Peters. I was under the impression that since you are the teacher, when you call on a student you expect them to answer. Oh please forgive me for that mistake." I answer in the sweetest voice I can. I don't mean to start arguments, but I also am not going to take crap for answering questions that I was called on to answer.
The boy next to my hides a smile behind his hand. He has blonde hair, and yellowish eyes. he's rather handsome, but let's not focus on that.
"Young lady you have no right to take that tone with me-" Oh I am not taking this bull.
"Actually as a citizen of the United States I have the right to speak my mind, and my tone has remained level this entire time, but that's not the point. I had merely answered a question when you called on me. If you did not want the question answered, a simpler solution would just be to not call on someone." I say this as matter of factually as possible. Peters face goes red.
"I will not have you speak to me like that in my class. Since it's your first day I'll let it slide, but if you speak to me this way again I will not be so kind." He promptly turns around, marking the end of the discussion.
I probably shouldn't have spoken to him that way, but I also won't let some random old dude tell me not to answer questions when he calls on me.
Thankfully history ends pretty soon. I stayed quiet for the rest of the class, but this time when I leave, people aren't whispering about me, they're full on talking. Apparently no one put Peters in his place before.
Nice. Making legacy's on day one.
That boy who was next to me in History turns out to be in almost all of my classes. We somehow end up next to each other by accident, or due to a seating chart every single time. I don't speak to him though. He seems content in his own world, sparing me a glance every so often.
I hear people whispering about him, but they never actually say anything to him.
They whisper about me too. How in Science the teacher tried to pull a fast one on me, but I was too quick and still got the question right.
In reality I already covered these subjects back in Cali at my old school, so most of this is just a review for me. Perks of moving schools I guess.
"Bella!" A girl who looks around our age flits up to Bella, her pixie cut swaying gracefully with her. She could be a dancer.
"Hi Alice." She gestures to me "This is Ren, she's my step-sis, and just moved here." Alice gives me a warm hello, before explaining how she knows Bella.
"Anyway, I was thinking, maybe we could do a movie marathon at your place tonight? Since Charlie has another overnight shift?" Charlie has an overnight shift? News to me.
"Sure, Ren are you cool with that? It would be Alice, Edward, and their siblings." Make more friends? Hell yeah.
"Sure, why not! The more the merrier." Alice gets a big grin on her face.
"I like the way you think Ren~" With that she flits back off to who I think is her family. That blonde haired kid is with her. he glances up at me, before getting into the car with them.
Guess I'll get to know him after all.

I'm Hamiltrash I know
yooooo In the last two hours more head cannons have popped up! Modern beach style this time
The group LOVES to do beach days together.
Ham and Laurens like to surf together
Washington likes to sit on the towel and watch his children
Herc and Laff will play volleyball or Frisbee with the others, but they mostly just will build amazing castles together
Burr likes to take walks on the beach
Maddison and Jefferson LOVE to play beach football, and ALWAYS make Ham be on the opposing team
Ice cream every time.
They all take separate cars, but the one thing they all have in common is that you can take the tops off/put the top down
They once all worked together and dug a giant hole, then held a cabinet battle in it. It was awesome
They like to do bonfires on the beach
Ham when he gets tired will curl up with a book on a towel and read under the sun for HOURS
One time Washington fell asleep, so they made funny shapes with sunscreen all over his back to give him a weird tan. He ended up burning because they forgot to wake him.
They argue over whether to bring hot dogs or burgers, but always end up bringing hot dogs.
That's all for now!

Twilight x Reader pt 6
Welcome back after that lovely intermission. I do hope you enjoyed a brief glance into what goes on in my brain at night :D
I slowly open my eyes and stare at the ceiling. It's not my new bedrooms ceiling. Why am I not in my room?
I move to sit up, but a hand pushes gently on my shoulder.
"Not yet. Just rest for a minute longer, okay?" It's Carlisle. He''s carefully wrapping my arm into a clean, white bandage. That's right, there was a car accident...
He finishes wrapping my arm, and lets me sit up. It's just us in the room, but I can hear people talking outside. Everything still feels loud and bright. Really, really bright.
It doesn't help that he shines a light into my eyes, and has me look around for him.
"Who were those people..?" My voice feels scratchy and dry. Carlisle hands me a glass of water from the counter.
"Hm? Oh they were just confused, they got the wrong people that's all." That doesn't add up.
"So they flipped a car?" He freezes for a moment, but then continues on.
Alice pokes her head in and motions for her dad. I must be at their house then.
After a few moments he comes back in, but this time Alice and Jasper are with him.
"How are you feeling?" Alice sits down next to me.
"Like I had shards of glass cut through my veins then went for a run." Good to know my sarcasm is still intact. Nobody laughs though.
"I think there might be something you need to know." Oh that's a fun sentence to start with Alice. What are you gonna do? Tell me you're vampires or something-?
"Are you aware of the term 'Vampires'?" Oh shit.
"Somehow, you got wrapped up into the drama, and so it's only right that you know about it." Jasper adds, keeping his distance. I just nod, wanting to see where this is headed.
They go on to basically tell me (and show me) that vampires are real, and that guy that tried to kill me last night was one. They also explained that they are vamps as well, but they don't eat humans.
Karma's a bitch, but I like her humor.
Apparently, I took the news very well, because 'okay, cool. Does Charlie think we just got into a crash? What should I tell them.' is a bit too chill and baffling for them.
"That's the other thing..." I'm going to jump off this building.
"What did you tell them..?" I fiddle with the edges of the bandages, trying not to mess them up.
"Technically you were pronounced dead on the scene. Your dad drove up right as James flee'd, and because you were supposed to be with us, and the car just exploded..." Oh my God.
"So, let me get this straight. Charlie AND Bella, both think I'm dead, a long with the whole town. However I a m a l i v e." They all just nod. "Okay, so why don't I just go on home, explain that I got spooked and ended up in the woods and got lost yeah?" Carlisle is already shaking his head.
"As of right now, James, the guy who attacked you, also believes you to be dead. You're much safer right now, than you would be back at your home." I stare at him blankly, trying to figure out what the hell he just told me.
I'm dead. Literally.

A Short Intermission Brought To You By My Hamiltrash and Twilight Brain
You have probably been able to guess that my Hamilton obsession came on right as my Twilight one hit...
Which means there have been some fun head cannons that I would love to share! (This is also from a 4 am debate about Jefferson being a Vampire)
The Founding Fathers were accidentally turned by the Voltary, which has resulted in them CONSTANTLY throwing fits about the state of the government, and wanting to step in
The Voltary have debated killing them, then realized if they did ALL THE OTHERS WOULD KILL THEM FIRST THESE ARE LITERAL WAR PEOPLE THEY LIKE TO FIGHT
Hamilton and Jefferson CONSTANTLY debate over stuff, which has resulted in Washington making "Cabinet Battles" for them to debate and others to take sides
They met the Cullen's then decided that they were weird, but they like that Jasper kid, he's cool, but Ham doesn't like that he fought for the confederates. Jas says he doesn't agree with those views now so they're cool.
They don't enjoy the taste of human blood, so they try to eat normal food, or just mass hunt a pack of deer
After being together for so long, without finding any women, Hamilton realized he liked Laurens, and Laurnes realized he liked Ham.
Washington went wild when he heard one of his sons FINALLY realized he was gay after 200 years.
We're still waiting on Laff
Laff once let a croissant get so stale that he threw it at Burr and it almost broke his hand off
Laff is no longer allowed to keep croissants "For the feels"
Ham likes to correct people on the internet ALL THE TIME because "ELIZA HELP ME FROM HEAVEN HOW CAN THEY BE SO WRONG???"
Herc fixes up new clothing styles to fit the era, but keeps using the same materials as their old clothes "for the feels" as Laff says
Burr and Ham fight like cats and dogs on Hams "Death Day" because "I SHOT AT THE SKY BURR" and "I KNOW THAT I DIDN"T REALIZE AND WAS MAD"
Washington has to keep them separated sometimes.
They like to invite Jasper over to swap war stories, and learn about today's day and time.
What the hell is snatched and why do people keep telling me that I have it??? - Washington
When the events of Breaking Dawn happened they showed up with guns and ready to FIGHT
Hamilton's "Power" is that he can make anyone see his side of the story and AGREE with him in under 3 pages of words (so he doesn't have to oust himself for cheating again)
They all like to watch trashy movies on the couch together once a week, but Ham and Jefferson have to sit on opposite sides of the couch because "HE KEEPS ANNOYING ME-"

Twilight x Reader pt 5
Welcome back, I do just want to say that if your going to check out the Fate Foretold on Wattpad, that I'm updating it tonight! Yayyyy
I always thought that adrenaline makes you think clearly, but with extra speed and strength. It does not.
We were driving up to the Cullen's house where apparently Charlie asked if I could just spend the night because it would be easier, when the car got flipped.
I'm not sure what happened. One second all four wheels are on the ground, the next we're in a rotating metal wheel and Alice is lunging for me.
I feel my body slam into the glass and break through it, falling through. I think Alice yells my name, but I can't be too sure.
I lay on the concrete, ninety percent sure that at least one of my veins got cut with the amount of blood that's pouring from my arms. That's not good.
I hear the car stop rolling, and Alice and Jasper climb out quickly looking around for me. My heart is beating so fast I'm sure they can hear it.
"Well what do we have here? A little snack I see..." I whisk around, there's a man with short blonde hair and red eyes. He goes to grab me, but I'm already stumbling back.
I reach into my back pocket, feeling my grandpa's pocket knife slide into my hand. I keep it tucked into my sleeve as I back away carefully.
The adrenaline has slowed down a bit, but not fully thankfully due to this new threat.
"Ren come over here, come on, it's okay..." I slowly retreat back towards the two. Jasper inches away from me, and Alice carefully positions me so that I'm behind them.
"Ren, run." Jasper's voice sounds strained, almost like he's in physical pain. The mans face seems to light up with excitement.
"Please Ren." I don't hesitate, head already starting to spin. I take off into the woods once again. Behind me I hear a scuffle, but I don't turn.
I don't know how long I ran for, but I hope it was enough. I really do. I don't have a choice anymore, I have to stop.
I collapse onto my hands and knees, then onto my side. I roll over and stare at the roof of the tree's.
Slowly, everything starts to become dark around me, and this time I let it. I can't run anymore, I can't move. At least if I'm asleep then I won't feel myself die.
"She's over here!" I hear a voice yell. My eyelids feel to heavy to open, but I try to nonetheless. I see Emmett, soon he's joined by Carlisle who seems to be speaking to me.
What's he saying...
I feel him pick me up, and then we're moving. I don't know where to, but I hope we get there quick.
I don't wanna die, there's a million things I haven't done yet.
"Just stay with me for a little while longer, okay Ren?"

Twilight x Reader pt 4
Second part of the day and I'm driving myself insane because I am also singing Hamilton, and so now there is a vampire Lafayette and Laurens in my head and I'm going insane.
Helppppp
I roll over, that familiar ache in my throat means that I either need water, or got sick.
We're going to go with the first option, because I've got too much to do to be sick.
I roll out of bed, pretty much ignoring the scream of my throat when I swallow a sip from the cup on the nightstand.
I throw on a warm sweater and baggy jeans (forgetting that I now live in the wettest place possible and the bottoms will be soaked through by the end of the day).
I stumble down the steps, and grab some Ibu from the kitchen drawer before snatching my bag and still-soaked jacket.
After another uneventful drive to school, I steal away from Bella and go to history class.
I end up running into the Cullen's in their little pod or posse (not literally this time of course). Edward just gives me a nod before moving on with the other two. Jasper and Alice stay with me.
"Heard you met our dad last night." Alice says with a grin. Jasper just looks me up and down, eyeing the jacket that is very obviously dripping.
"Yeah, just got a little lost is all." That seems to be an acceptable answer, even though she tells me next time to just take a ride instead of risking a cold.
All through history I have little sniffling fits where I cannot get my nose to shut up for the life of me.
"Miss Swan do you need to go to the nurses office?" I glance up from the work sheet I was completing for the third time today.
"No sir, I just have allergies." That's my go to if I ever have the sniffles or a cough, because that's usually what it is.
"Then please refrain from disturbing the class with your incessant sniffling." He turns back to the student he was helping and I flip him off under the table.
I am going to throw a chair at that teacher I swear-
"Hey- what did you get for number three?" Jasper leans over, Alice looking over at us expectantly.
"I got 1781, that's when the Battle of Yorktown was fought." He nods and whispers it over to Alice. She gives me a nod and smiles before scribbling it down.
The rest of class goes by slowly. I have to keep my sleeve over my nose to avoid sniffling, but thankfully he leaves me alone.
By the time the bell rings I'm up and out of there, Jasper and Alice trailing after me.
"Are you feeling okay?" Alice asks as she reaches me. Jasper trailing behind to talk to their siblings.
"Yeah, just a case of the sniffles." I brush her off, and head to my next class.
"Alright then, see you at lunch." She heads back to her siblings who I can feel watching me as I turn the corner.
I don't get to sit with them at lunch. Bella drags me into the bathroom to talk to me and takes all lunch to explain to me how that Edward kid has been so weird.
I just let her talk, not really giving her much but still letting her get it out of her system.
I don't even get to explain why I couldn't sit with Alice at lunch, because Bella being Bella drags me straight from my last class to the truck.
That's when it happens. A truck comes flying our direction. One of Bella's friends is driving it and looks terrified.
It spins right toward us, not slowing at all. Suddenly that Edward kid is right in front of Bella, stopping the truck.
"What the f-"
"Oh my god! Bella I'm so sorry, are you okay?" Everything around us explodes into noise. I slowly stand from where I crouched down, and move away letting everyone surround Bella.
I know that she's okay, or else she would be unconscious or dead or bleeding. I look over where Alice and her family are sitting. I look each of them in the eye, then turn on my heel and start to walk home.
Bella heads to the hospital, but I get a text from her saying to just stay at home because she's fine and doesn't want to make this a big thing.
It's pitch black outside and they still aren't back yet, when there's a knock on the front door.
I creep down the steps and peer through the glass. It's Alice, I can see Jasper in the car, waiting.
"Hey, what's up?" I open the door, music blasting through my headphones.
"I just wanted to see if you were okay, I didn't get to earlier." I'm taken aback a bit, because I didn't really expect anyone to ask me if I was okay, I mean it was closer to hitting Bella than me.
"I'm okay, thanks for asking. Do you want to come in?" I open the door a bit wider, peering at Jasper in the car.
"Actually I wanted to know if you wanted some dinner? Carlisle said that Bella and Charlie probably won't be back for a bit anyway." My stomach growls in response before I can say anything.
We both laugh and she motions for me to follow. I grab my coat and the spare key, locking the door behind me.
Alice actually sits in the back with me, leaving Jasper up in the front by himself.
I have a feeling tonight is going to be fun.
Woo! Alright, I'll post some more later, but as for the moment my fingers are getting a bit tired, as I've written like three entries today already, so I will see you all later!

Twilight x Reader pt 3
New day, new writing yall~ Enjoy! Also I have an account on Wattpad with a fiction called Fate Foretold if you guys could check it out:)
After putting up the posters (Hamilton, books, Imagine dragons, Sundance, and art works I've done) I started putting the books into an arranged way on the floor.
I finished while the sun was still up, course you couldn't see it, but it was still light outside. Why not go for a walk. Get to know our surroundings.
I call a goodbye to the people of the house, tugging on my coat. I make my way down the steps and look around. I've already been on the main roads a bunch today. I wonder how deep those woods go.
I pick my way through the foliage, trying to keep an eye on the sun. By the time it starts to get dark, I've completely lost my way. Great.
I can't remeber which direction I came from. I roam around a bit, before I start marking up the trees. At least if I get lost I'll have a path to follow.
After about thirty minutes of wandering, the suns almost fully down. I realize I left my phone on my bed. Wonderful. I stop for a moment and listen. I don't hear any of the usual signs of traffic or anything, so either I'm by a non-busy road, or I'm to deep into the woods.
A drop of water hits my face, then another. Within minutes its raining, and I'm tugging my hood up, shivering.
I was not built for the cold.
I continue walking, my marks being washed away by the rain. Pretty quick, I'm soaked through. The little bit of warmth my jacket was giving me is gone now.
I wanna go home.
I feel tears start to move down my face, washing away from the rain. I didn't realize how much I would miss my friends and place back in Cali, I guess it really did become home...
I hear a car driving and slowing down. My head snaps up, and I follow the noise, teeth clattering.
I stop just on the edge of the tree line, starting to feel the effects of lovely jet lag. Two people get out of the car. A man and a woman.
The man has blonde hair, and is fairly tall, the woman has brown, and is just a bit shorter.
They both walk up to the front door, when holy- that's Edward I think, opens the door and says something.
I don't want to eves drop, so I start making my way down the road. I stick mostly to the tree line, hoping that the leaves will give me some sort of shelter.
"Hey! Kid, are you okay?" A voice calls out behind me, and I hear someone jogging after me. I turn around and its that man, not that I can see him, I think his name is Carlisle.
"Yeah, sorry. I was just going for a walk and got a little bit lost. I know where I am now though." I pause for a moment, as he reaches me.
"You're soaked through, do you want a ride home? You're Charlies kid right?" He doesn't acknowledge the fact that I'm not actually his kid, just a tag a long no one really knows.
"I'm alright, thank you though." I give him as warm of a smile I can, and walk away. I know I probably should take a ride from him, or risk catching a cold, but I also don't know these people. Common sense says 'don't get into cars with people you don't know'.
"Are you sure?" He calls, I just give him a thumbs up and a smile and keep walking. Hopefully I don't get lost again.
By the time I get home, its fully dark, and my clothes are practically frozen on me. I carefully open the door, hang up my jacket and creep inside.
"where have you been?" I hear Charlie ask from the kitchen. I turn to him and mumble something about getting lost on a walk and forgetting my phone. He seems to take that as an acceptable answer and lets me go back up to my room.
I change out of my clothes, and into some warm fuzzy pajamas and socks. Then crawl under the covers, trying to get warm. I flip my hair so that its not touching me, and slowly, I drift off into a peaceful sleep.

Twilight x Reader pt 2
I know how annoying it can be to find that one fic you absolutely love, then there's no part two. The rage is real.
lunch was lunch. I ate food. I watched as my idiot of a sister started intently at the Cullen's. I waved at Alice and Jasper, who both gave me kind smiles.
Nah, I'll give you guys more details than that.
Basically lunch was the one place I couldn't escape Bella. Alice was about to ask me to come sit with them, when I was pulled off in a rush with Bella, who was demanding where I had been and why I just left her.
Like I love you sis, but I need some me time sometimes.
We grabbed our lunch, and I ended up sitting with her friends. The look on their faces when Jasper and Alice waved fuels me. However, the brief moment of awe for accomplishing something I didn't even know was hard to do (I literally ran into a person in the hallway like-?) Bella started talking, and all of a sudden I was forgotten once again.
I gobble down the rest of my lunch, and take my bag with me when I go to throw out my tray. No one notices. They're all in the Bella vortex.
I duck outside, where thankfully its not raining, and take a seat. I reopen my sketch book, not really feeling like reading, and put on my headphones.
Hamilton starts blasting (because why not listen to it while your drawing it) and I'm at Yorktown. I continue my sketch when I notice four pairs of feet walking my direction.
I tuck my feet in to that they can walk by (I'm sitting on the ground, at the only piece of dry cement I could find), but the feet actually stop right in front of me.
It's Jasper and, uh, I'm going to with Emmett based off the descriptions Alice gave me.
"Oh, Hi?" I slip my headphones off, turning the music down at the same time because those suckers were LOUD.
"We just wanted-" Jasper starts, obviously a bit uncomfortable.
"Alice told us to come invite you to sit with us because since your new and those other friends that your sister made weren't really talking to you, and she wants to be your friend." Emmett cuts him off "We do too, but for sake of simplicity, Alice wants you to come sit with us." Dang, kind of loving how straight forward he is.
"Why didn't Alice come ask..?" I close my notebook, not really feeling like having fresh eyes look in it after history.
"Rosalie wrapped her into a conversation she couldn't get out of and sent us." I still look at them skeptically. Why send two people..?
"I came with because I wanted to give you a heads up on Edward. Heads up, he's strange with newcomers." Emmett elaborates.
Well that was kind of him.
"Sure, why not." I go to stand up but the bell rings, cutting me off. I roll my eyes up to the sky and mutter about the gods and ill timing. They both chuckle, and Jasper hands me my bag that he picked up for me.
"Maybe tomorrow then." I give him a smile and a nod, before being rushed off by a crowd of teenagers.
The rest of the day was nothing special. I mostly just slept, drew, and read through most of the classes, and got all my homework done. Yay.
Once we got home, I retreated up to my room to start the decorating process...
Sorry for the short chapter, I'll post again tomorrow, but I like really have to go to sleep right now, sorry!

Twilight X Reader
This is set where the reader (because I am an idiot who hates typing reader over and over, yall mind if your name is Ren) is an adoptive sister of Bella Swan (adopted when she was 4) , who instead of Arizona, had been in California for the last 3 years. She is 16, but was there on a student exchange program for film and tv, and the other creative fields. Her program just ended, but instead of getting to go home to Arizona, she's forced to go to Forks, where Bellas Bio dad lives.
Probably a good time to mention that Ren has only met him once or twice, and will be staying in the attic (which she is going to have to renovate)
Ren did the foreign exchange program, because it gave her some distance from her sister, who seems to (even though shes more quiet) have the spotlight always on her. So much so that Ren finds herself forgotten sometimes. Hey now, we can use that to our advantage can't we...
I honestly don't know what I expected. Moving to a random, rainy, sad, depressing, lonely, no good-
"Your hairs gotten longer since I last saw you." This town is going to be so boring. At least I can focus on decorating my room, er sorry attic. I'm still pretty close to Cali too, maybe I can get some of my friends to fly out for a bit... That could be fun.
After a long, awkward car ride, we make it to the house. We don't have much time before school, because apparently, when you first move to a new place and pretty much don't even have a bed, you're expected to go to school? Welcome to America I guess.
Charlie gets his weird little thing with Bella out of the way (who by the way is holding onto that cactus WAY to tight) and shows me the attic. Thankfully, there's a bed, a small desk, a lamp, night stand, but other than that, bare. That's honestly perfect for me.
"I don't really know any of the stuff you might like... So I thought it might be better if you decorated it. I'd be happy to help but-" I hold up a hand to Charlie.
"It's perfect, thank you." He seems a little relieved, and makes his way down stairs. A little bit later I hear cars pulling up, but I let Bella handle it while I unpack stuff.
I got super lucky with the timing of this move, because everything that I brought with me to Cali, and got in Cali, were already in boxes, so I was just able to bring them here.
Which means I still have all my posters, sketch books, reading books, old films, all the important stuff.
I start organizing all the boxes into little sections, so it will make unpacking easier tonight.
"Ren! Let's go, time for school." Ah, crap. I look around the scattered boxes. I don't have any of my school stuff unpacked.
"Ren!" I dump out my flight bag, grab the nearest notebook and pencil case, and a sketch book, my head phones, and jacket before running down the steps.
"Yeah yeah, I'm coming." Turns out, Bella just got a truck. I won't claim favoritism, because in total I've maybe known Charlie for 4 days, including that one time I stayed here.
The ride to school is uneventful, but once we get to school, oh game on.
Here's the plan, separate from Bella, so that we can be separate people, find classes, make friends, go home. I've already taken a look at the syllabus, and by technicality, I'm three grades ahead of my grade right now. Cali program for the win man! Honestly, don't know how that happened... Eh, not gonna think about it.
"see ya later Bells." Before she can even respond, I'm off. I learned enough the first time, so I memorized where the Office was, but after that, it's pretty much a free for all.
I make it in and out of the office, and start to try to find English. The person warned me that we have joined classes, and so don't be alarmed if there is juniors in my class (AKA Bella could be in my classes)... To any and all gods out there, please let me be my own person, I've been my own person for three years now. I can't go back to being a shadow now that I've been in the light.
I glance down to look at my schedule, when I bump into something hard and cold. Scratch that, someone. Surround by multiple other someones. Who all are a little shocked that the fore mentioned someone was ran into-
"You alright?" My god my brain is a vortex.
"Yeah, sorry for running into you." I go to move on, as I usually do. That's one of the first times I've been the person to run into the other person. Usually I'm pretty aware of my surroundings.
"Need any help?" the blonde male one asks. I stop and look back. I probably do, but they all look like they have somewhere to be. They also look like the kind of crowd you don't want to be mixed up in.
"Sure, do any of you know where room 118 is?" Those crowds tend to be the most interesting to start off with. Not like doing drugs or anything, seriously no, but the people that others don't seem to talk to, or avoid. Those people have a story to tell.
"Me and Alice here" The gestures to the pixie cut girl holding his hand "are actually on our way there." I catch a bit of a southern drawl in his speech. Oh Alex is going to be stoked that I found yet another Texian.
They nod goodbye to their friends, or siblings, or whatever the hell that posse was, and come up to speed with me.
"So where'd you move from?" Alice speaks up, her voice surprisingly clear in the crowded hallway.
"Technically Arizona, but I've been in California for the last 3 years on a exchange program." We take a sharp left. Yeah there's no way I would have been able to find this class.
"That's cool! What part of California? I've always wanted to go there." We get into a conversation about it, but here boyfriend seems surprisingly quiet, given the fact that he was the one who offered. Maybe he just likes to be nice then let Alice deal with the actual conversation part of the helping.
By the time we get to the class, I learned that Alice and her family (by the way the boys name is Jasper, they are both Juniors) moved here a while back, so she totally understands what I'm dealing with.
There are about three desks left in the class, so I take the one closest to the window, and let the two sit next to each other. Jasper actually ends up sitting next to me, which is somewhat surprising, given the fact that he hasn't really said a word to me, but Alice seems perfectly content.
I spend the entire class doodling in my sketch book (its really a bright orange lined notebook, but its so much more fun to doodle in it for some reason). I'm drawing a depection of Hamilton and his three buddies stealing the British cannons in New York when the teacher calls me out.
"Young lady, I thought I said to be working on the work sheet." I give him a quick glance before handing him the completed work sheet.
"I finished it a couple minutes after class began." I admitted sheepishly. I can feel Jasper and Alice watching out of the corner of their eyes, waiting to see what's going on.
"You should have been paying attention. This is the American revolution we're covering! You should know-" I drown out his lecture. The American revolution he says, well, since I have a couple of drawings pertaining to the revolution, I just might have an escape goat here.
"Sir, I don't mean to interrupt you, but as you can see, I was actually drawing Alexander Hamilton, and George Washington commanding their respective armies at the Battle of Yorktown right here." I discretely flip back on page without him noticing, and present the drawing.
It's not my best work, but it should pass enough to get the teacher off my-
"I'm going to have to confiscate this young lady. I will not have you doodling historically inaccurate things in my class. Don't think I didn't see that last page." He snatches my book straight out of my hands, and thrusts a new, white and shiny work sheet at me "now fill this out properly this time, and maybe I'll give your little notebook back." I start to feel that all to familiar bubble start to rise. I won't let it pop, as its my first day, but I won't just let this slide.
I go to retort, but suddenly that bubble is gone, replaced with a cool calm. I close my mouth and give a snarky yes sir, before quickly filling out my answers, again.
I finish the answers in no time, walk them up to the teacher and turn them in. He tries to wave me away, but I stand there and blankly stare at him.
"I believe you're forgetting some Mr. Marshal." My voice is cool, yet sharp as a blade. I feel that calm rush over me again, but I brush it off this time, letting my defiance envelop it.
"Next time I catch you doodling in my class, you won't be getting it back." I don't say anything as I snatch my property out of his hands and stalk back to my seat.
I check the clock, and the bell is due to ring any second, so I pack up my stuff, and stand up just as the bell rings.
Lunch time.
Be ready for part two!
