Sorry I just finished the last episode of Invincible and am now trying to cope.

This is lowkey how I wish Rex’s funeral went.

Rudy is giving his speech as we see a silhouette appear from behind a tree in the distance from where the funeral is being held for Rex. It’s Rae. She listens as tears slowly roll down her cheek.

Behind her you see Rex walk up to Rae. He’s badly beaten and bandaged up but he manages to cough up a small chuckle and nudges Rae asking,

“Why are you crying? You know I’m not actually dead right?”

She chuckles back wiping away a stray tear. “I know, I know…but you almost were. And to them, you ARE. I just-“ Rex grabs her hand.

“Hey…but I’m not. I’m right here.” He kisses the top of her hand and swipes a finger under her eye to catch a droplet ready to fall. “Y’know, almost dying out there made me realize… I can’t keep waiting for death to find me while living in some crummy hole in the wall. I wanna actually LIVE my life…with you, Rae.”

Her cheeks burn up as she embraces the green eyed man infront of her.

“I want that too,” her grip tightens around him just for a second before pull back to look at him in the eyes. “You realize there’s no coming back from this, right? We can never show our faces again. Not if we ACTUALLY want to retire from this life.”

Rex looks at her and then looks out into the distance. His gaze falling on to each and every member he’s fought along side with. He notices Eve walk over to the podium, who almost immediately chokes up and walks away. His brows furrow and his first reaction is to yell out to her, to all of them, and let them know he’s okay! But then he looks at Mark who carries a solemn face and yet is still standing tall and strong, like a tank that can’t be moved, despite all the pain he’s endured.

“Rex?” Rae’s voice pulls him back to her.

He blinks and lets a faint smile decorate his mouth. He looks back at his old team one last time before placing a hand over Rae’s cheek,“I’m ready to take a risk on me…and you…and us. And if that means there’s no turning back…I can live with that. As long as I get to do it with you.”

Rae’s eyes fill with tears as she moves in for a kiss, “c’mere you big idiot”. He kisses her back, gently moving her so that she’s pushed up against the tree they’ve been using as a shield. He pulls away for a second, smiling like a goof.

“What?” Rae asks, raising an eyebrow.

“Nothing. I’m just happy is all,” he lets out a relieved sigh. “It’s just…it’s weird letting go of this—pressure…ya know? I didn’t even know it existed until right now. I don’t have to worry about how I’ll make it out of the next mission alive anymore. I can learn how to just be…me. The real me. No more worrying about the world.” He says that last part with a tinge of guilt but immediately shakes it off.

"And as long as Mark stays here on earth and doesn't go crazy with power or something," he chuckles nervously, ".…and with Eve by his side, l'd say the world will be okay. I mean, I would never say this to him, not like I can even if I wanted to, but with everything he's been through; fighting his dad, being trapped in another dimension, catching falling buildings, raising an alien younger brother... I’ve gotta admit...I’m starting to actually believe the guy really is-"

Aaaaaand yeah. So that’s how that episode ended in my head and that’s how it’ll always stay. To me, they secretly escaped and moved somewhere in Europe where they get to travel and try out a ton of new places. Hike new trails, try new foods, learn about new cultures and build a happy and mostly peaceful life (I say mostly because obviously there’s gotta be some normal people risk like encountering bears, hating their neighbors, losing their luggage while traveling, having beef with an old lady, etc.)

Killing off Rex was such a hard and sad thing to watch. Of courseeeeeeeee it had to the be the character with the most character growth. The person who was so close to having his happy ending.

During sex, when you unconsciously pulled your hips back, it made Satoru stop, "If you try to move away, I'll go all the way in and you won't be able to walk," he said with annoyance, and you tried your best before ending up unconsciously pulling them back again and, as he had promised, he grabbed your hips tightly so they wouldn't move and pushed in with full force, making you see the stars.

I can NOT stop thinking about how sacrificial Megumi is? How suicidal he is on the inside?? That man is constantly offering himself up to deaths hands. If there’s a moment for him to save a someone he cares about or killing an enemy by OFFING himself he’ll do it in a heart beat (Just like his old pops 😭) And I fuck with it. I fuck with it heavy 😂 I just need at least ONE person (Yuji, Nobara, Gojo) to acknowledge it tho. Like “Hey dude…you good??” Cuz ain’t no way no one’s caught on to that shit.

The only time that shit doesn’t work is when Yuji is around cuz that’s another crazy little fucker who also lives to sacrifice himself.

Gojo doesn't exactly remember how he, Suguru, and Shoko got into such a conversation, but here they were anyway.

Suguru grinned at his friend, "really Satoru? The world is a big place, maybe you just haven't met them yet."

"Yeah," Shoko started, "they could be anywhere. You may even meet them today."

Satoru scoffed and stood up from his desk. His chair being pushed back as he held his arms out.

"Fine! Watch this!"

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath

"If there is a god out there, please let the love of my life that i will spend eternity with and love till my last breath and even in death fall into my arms right this very instant!"

After a few seconds, Gojo smirked, "see? Nothing happened!"

Shoko sighed, "thats not what i-"

There was a sudden crack in the ceiling. The floor shaking slightly as if someone was thrown right onto the roof. Which was when the three sensed a cursed spirit and a sorcerer fighting just outside. But before anyone could move, the ceiling gave way and someone fell right into Gojo's outstretched arms.

"Oh wow, nice catch," you said as if you weren't thrown so hard to the point that your body went straight through the roof.

Gojo couldn't keep his mouth from falling open as he continued to stare at your smiling face.

Both Suguru and Shoko snickered at the sight.

"Looks like your prayer was answered after all, Satoru."

"Huh? Prayer?"

You glanced around the room before you felt Gojo's grip tighten around you causing you to look back up at him.

"Marry me."

"...hah?"

The fact that Inumaki had also stolen Maki’s skirt here makes me think that Gojo AND Inumaki were in the same room and both watched each other steal their skirts and laughed about it like little gremlins, those goofballs 😂

This is what Yuji tells Satoru after he thought Yuji had died in season 1 episode 6 of JJK. After he thought he lost one of the few people he genuinely saw becoming as strong as him. And now, before him, stands a very much alive Yuji asking him to not only make him as strong as him, but the strongest. Can you imagine the joy he must’ve felt in that moment. Finally. Maybe the top won’t be so lonely anymore.

I CANT KEEP CRYING OVER THESE FICTIONAL CHARACTERS

Rewatching JJK for the first time after having watched the movie and 2nd season along with some major manga spoilers and it’s crazy hearing names and seeing people mentioned that are only shown later on. Yuta being the main one that has a kick to it.

I’m on s1e6 and you can just see how highly everyone talks about him (Yuta). Panda mentioning how he’s the only one Megumi is softer with. Megumi mentioning how Yuta’s the only 2nd year he actually respects. Gojo even mentions this early on in the season how Yuta will become a Jujutsu sorcerer on par with him. He has so much hope and faith in his students. He sees their potential and in this episode he’s talking about how he wants to reshape Jujutsu Society by teaching students to be strong and clever. Hoping he could help his students see what he sees without having to really push it onto them.

He definitely saw a little bit of Yuta in Yuji in the sense of, Yuta carried a heavy curse on him that the elders saw as a danger and wanted him executed. And yet Yuta was able to hone that curse and use it as a tool. I’m more than sure Gojo took one look at Yuji, right after asking if he could switch back after 10 seconds, and hoped he, too, would be able to do the same. Be able to control Sukuna for good like Yuta does with Rika.

Gojo was so sad over Yuji’s death in this episode. No, he was enraged. Because more than finding someone who reminded him of Yuta, he found someone who reminded him of himself. Yuji grew up basically alone. He was always better at everything compared to others. Stronger, faster and more agile. Yuji was the Gojo in the non-sorcerer realm. And just like Gojo, despite all the pain and loss and the loneliness he felt, Yuji always carried a smile and always tried to be positive. Be goofy and unserious. And to finally find someone like him, only to find that poor soul killed because of the elders must’ve struck a chord.

I’m so sure Gojo was excited to finally have people with him…at the top. Especially Yuji.

Finally being able to share the burden of being the strongest. No longer having to be the person they call only when things are bad. Finally feeling seen, after years of having to see people.

It breaks my heart that he never will.

I’m sad again lol.
