Friends? pt 2

Female!Reader x Dean Winchester

It had been a week since Dean and I had our moment. Needless to say we’ve been making up for lost time while keeping busy with the usual hunts and of course our favorite third wheel, Sam.

“well finally, it’s about damn time” Sam laughed from the doorway of the motel room that night in the midst of our moment

“shut up Sam” Dean hastily said, avoiding eye contact with us both but the blush that tinged his face was undeniable.

Now we were in baby, I had been thankfully elected to the front seat. Thanks to the bench seats my head was in Dean's lap while he drove. Meanwhile Sam was sitting in the back reading lore. Occasionally one of Deans hands would lightly brush and hair that had fallen in front of my face out of the way. A gesture that was little but held a ton of meaning.

Before I knew it we were across a new state line. Dean speedily got us to the motel, easily going at least 20 over the whole way there. He was excited, we for the first time had decided to get our own room.

Dean helped get all of our stuff in and we decided to hang out with Sam for a bit before we turned in for the night. I put a chick flick on and we all cracked a few beers. they both groaned at the sight of the movie on the screen but i knew it was just a front. They loved it secretly.

Dean and I were curled up on the couch until all off a sudden I felt my head going limp against Deans strong chest. Next thing I know I feel the cool air against my skin and realize I'm being carried in his warm protective arms. I hear the door close behind us and perk my head up to meet my favorite set of green eyes.

“told you that movie was boring” he whispers sarcastically and smirks, walking towards the bed.

“stopp, you loved it” I sleepily retorted, burying my head back into his chest.

He gives his signature Dean Winchester chuckle and I start to feel my back melt into the motel mattress. I look up and see him. my eyes were immediately met with a tender gaze from him.

However his bright green eyes were darker, darker with wild thoughts and feelings racing behind them. All of a sudden I can feel my heart rate picking up. I slowly put my hand on his chest and travel it to the back of his neck. lacing my fingers through the hair of the back of his head to pull him in for a kiss that felt exactly like our first.

except this time no one can interrupt us.

“mm, good morning, birthday boy,” you woke dean up by kissing all over his face.

a smile spread on deans face when he felt your gentle lips pepper kisses on him. his hands instinctively moved to hold your waist that was straddled on him. “is this my birthday present?” he asked with a raspy voice and a smirk on his face.

“later,” you just whispered in his ear. dean frowned slightly; he loves morning sex. he groans in response.

you sit up, still straddling his lap. deans eyes finally open and see the beautiful sight before him. the hands that were resting on your waist now moved to a more comfortable position on your thigh; rubbing small circles with his index fingers.

“i’ve got a surprise for you out in the kitchen,” you softly smiled drawing shapes on his chest.

“a surprise? really?”

“mhm, but you have to put pants on and behave,” you nod.

confusion struck deans face, “behave?”

“yep, now come on,” you hurry him.

dean groans as he stands up and makes his way to his dresser, pulling out a pair of blue plaid pj pants. “can’t we just stay here and, you know, fool around,” he whines then smirks. his hands snake around waist and his face buried in your neck. he kisses your neck gently; a breath of satisfaction left your lips as your head leans back, letting him have more access to your neck.

“dean,” you draw out, “we have to go, your surprise is waiting.”

he squeezes your hips one time before pulling away, “okay,” he draws out.

you grab his hand and drag him as you make your way to the kitchen. the two of you had been giggling about something only you two would giggle about as you walked into the kitchen.

“surprise!!” many voices shouted as you entered.

dean jumped back a bit. when he came to it, he noticed his brother, cass, jack, jody, and bobby all there with silly little party hats on. “oh my god, i don’t even know what to say,” his hand laid on his chest. he turned to you, “did you do all this?”

“yep,” you smiled.

dean looked around at everything. there was a cake made by you, a birthday banner, a small pile of presents, everything a typical birthday party had. and a giant pile of pancakes for everyone.

dean was so moved by this; he never had any of this growing up. “i cant believe it, thank you so much,” he pulled you in for a quick kiss and a longing hug. he almost wanted to cry at the thought of all this.

he pulled away and the party began.

everyone had gotten a couple pancakes and ate around the dining table. you all reminisced on memories with your mouths full. laughing so hard you could choke on the pancake bits.

the group of you had moved to the kitchen for the cake. a few candles decorated the cake as the room was dark, only lit by the candles. everyone sang a somewhat harmonious version of the happy birthday song and dean stood right in front of the cake. he had his arm wrapped around your waist pulling you in tight.

he soon blew out the candles and everyone dug in, “what’d you wish for?” you asked him quietly as everyone else was talking and eating.

“i’ve already got everything i wished for,” he smiled sweetly before he leaned in to kiss you.

later on, you all gathered in the living room to open presents. the few he got, he was more than grateful. he never really got presents growing up so he was very excited.

he got a homemade picture frame from jack of you and dean, a couple flannels from sam, whiskey from bobby and jody, and cass gave him a small honey jar he gathered himself along with a new board game for family game night. dean gave out many ‘thank you’s’ before the rest on the day danced away.

the two of you bid your good nights and made your way back to your shared room. you brushed your teeth, showered, and got into your pajamas.

the bathroom light cut off as the two of you made your way into the bedroom. dean turns to face you before you made it to the bed, “thank you for the best birthday ever, baby,” he leans over to kiss you.

“anything for you, handsome,” you return the kiss. your hand moved to cup his face.

deans head tilts, deepening the kiss. “so,” he pulls away, “can i get that birthday present you were talking about this morning?” he says with a smirk.

“mmm, i don’t know what you’re talking about,” you pretended.

“mhm, sure,” dean nodded sarcastically.

you just shrugged in response.

“oh now you’re gettin’ it,” he playfully says lifting and throwing you on the bed. you just giggled in response. he kisses all over you causing a fit of giggles, music to his ears.

this day couldn’t have gone any better.

Chapter 1

It was a normal night at Bobbys I just got back from the hunt of a vamp nest in Oregon I was sitting by the fireplace when I feel a blanket go over my shoulders

"Here kid" bobby says then walks over to his desk I thank him with a smile, bobby has always been like a dad to me he was the first hunter I meant he saved me from my first hunt of a ghost when I was just 18 ever sense then he's took me in as if one of his own half my information of monsters comes from him hes the best hunter I know, but lately I feel like he's hiding something from me sometime I ease drop on some of his conversations on the phone talking to a dean and sam I know bobby helps other hunters but this seems different.

"Hey bobby can I ask you something" I say looking over at him he grunts a sure as he's looking over some books

"Whos sam and dean I hear you talking to them allot" i say hoping I'm not prying to much as he looks up at me

"Well I was actually gonna talk to you ab- " he says getting cut off by a knock at the door

"I guess your about to find out" bobby say with a half smile going to the door I look over at him confused, he opens the door I peak over to see two guys one really tall with long brown hair and another shorter but still muscular and tall regardless he also had brown hair but darker and shorter, bobby smiles and hugs what I presume is sam and dean, I stand up and let the blanket fall from my shoulders I feel a little embarrassed sense I'm in my pjs with a messy bun sense I live with bobby when I'm not on the road I changed and was gonna go to bed

bobby steps aside to let them in the taller one looks over at me

"Is this the infamous Emma I've been hearing about?" sam smiles and looks over at bobby

"Oh yes forgot you guys haven't meant Sam this is Emma" I smile and move toward the large man and shake his hand he smiles back

"Nice to meet you" I say sam shakes his head in agreement

"And this is dean my brother" same moves his hand towards dean to introduce him

"Hello"I say I'm normally not so awkward but seeing this beautiful man in front of me makes me blush slightly I try to shake it off so no one notices

"Well hello to you to" he smiles cutely and shakes my hand for a little longer than normal

bobby comes up to dean and whispers in his ear but I hear it still

"don't even think about it" dean looks down at the floor and purses his lips in a small shy smile sam just looks over and laughs

"So Emma I was talking with the boys and I asked them if  you could start hunting with them they agreed" bobby says hoping ill agree

"What um why" I say questingly Bobby sighs

"Kid its been getting more and more dangerous out there with the apocalypse on the rise I just think we could all stick together right now" I look at him slightly angry

"I don't need anybody to protect me bobby I can handle myself" I say looking at him annoyed

"Em you know I know you can take care of yourself I just get nervous that's all, I'm just trying to help kid" I sigh letting go of the anger and having it be replaced with understanding and sadness that Bobbys worrying so much and keeping it in

"Ok yeah ill do it" I smile over at the boys who were watching from the sides

"Well good now that that's resolved you guys have case in Minnesota, simple demon possession case should be easy" bobby pulls out newspaper articles and we all go over and take a look Bobbys right dose looks easy but always except the unexpected right

"Well that settles it Minnesota it is lets go, thanks bobby" sam says and walks out the door to the car

"Ok I'll be back I'm gonna change quick"

"Is that necessary" dean whispers smiling charmingly at me, I roll my eyes while smiling at him, he winks and walks out to the car as I head up the stairs

I walk over or Bobby to say goodbye

"Kick ass kid" bobby smiles hugging me goodbye

"Thanks bobs ill see you soon" I smile hugging him back I walk out the door and see a beautiful impala outside I never liked cars much but this is cool ill admit

"This your guys car its beautiful" dean smiles at me then at sam he rolls his eyes

"Thank you hear that sam finally someone appreciating Fine beauty" dean says as he shows his hands up towards the car a laugh at him and get in the back seat, as we drive away the "heat of the moment" blast in the car I start to relax and smile I love this song, dean starts to sing along annoying sam but making him smirk nonetheless the seem like the really love each other its sweet, I wish I could have that sadly I'm an only child, I start to fall asleep in the back of the impala its pretty comfy for an older car I'm excited nervous but excited for this new adventure i think as I fall into a deep sleep.

How to Plot a Complex Novel in One Day

Now first, I have to say, that the plot you’re able to come up with in one day is not going to be without its flaws, but coming up with it all at once, the entire story unfolds right in front of you and makes you want to keep going with it. So, where to begin?

What is your premise and basic plot? Pick your plot. I recommend just pulling one from this list. No plots are “original” so making yours interesting and complicated will easily distract from that fact, that and interesting characters. Characters will be something for you to work on another day, because this is plotting day. You’ll want the main plot to be fairly straight forward, because a confusing main plot will doom you if you want subplots.

Decide who the characters will be. They don’t have to have names at this point. You don’t even need to know who they are other than why they have to be in the story. The more characters there are the more complicated the plot will be. If you intend to have more than one subplot, then you’ll want more characters. Multiple interconnected subplots will give the illusion that the story is very complicated and will give the reader a lot of different things to look at at all times. It also gives you the chance to develop many side characters. The plot I worked out yesterday had 13 characters, all were necessary. Decide their “roles” don’t bother with much else. This seems shallow, but this is plot. Plot is shallow.

Now, decide what drives each character. Why specifically are they in this story? You can make this up. You don’t even know these characters yet. Just so long as everyone has their own motivations, you’re in the clear.

What aren’t these characters giving away right off the bat? Give them a secret! It doesn’t have to be something that they are actively lying about or trying to hide, just find something that perhaps ties them into the plot or subplot. This is a moment to dig into subplot. This does not need to be at all connected to their drive to be present in the story.  Decide who is in love with who, what did this person do in the 70’s that’s coming back to bite them today, and what continues to haunt what-his-face to this very day. This is where you start to see the characters take shape. Don’t worry much about who they are or what they look like, just focus on what they’re doing to the story.

What is going to change these characters? Now this will take some thinking. Everyone wants at least a few of the characters to come out changed by the end of the story, so think, how will they be different as a result of the plot/subplot? It might not be plot that changes them, but if you have a lot of characters, a few changes that are worked into the bones of the plot might help you.

Now list out the major events of the novel with subplot in chronological order. This will be your timeline. Especially list the historical things that you want to exist in backstory. List everything you can think of. Think about where the story is going. At this point, you likely haven’t focused too much on the main plot, yeah, it’s there, but now really focus on the rising actions, how this main plot builds its conflict, then the climactic moment. Make sure you get all of that in there. This might take a few hours.

Decide where to start writing. This part will take a LOT of thinking. It’s hard! But now that you’ve got the timeline, pick an interesting point to begin at. Something with action. Something relevant. Preferably not at the beginning of your timeline - you want to have huge reveals later on where these important things that happened prior are exposed. This is the point where you think about what information should come out when. This will be a revision of your last list, except instead of being chronological, it exists to build tension.

Once you’ve gotten the second list done, you’ve got a plot. Does it need work? Probably. But with that said, at this point you probably have no idea who half your characters are. Save that for tomorrow, that too will be a lot of work.

Dark times all around but there are still people out there who love you

Do not hurt yourself, do not hurt others, get help, talk to someone, anyone. Humanity has survived before and we can do it now if we all just support each other. My country and my people let me down and endangered my life but there’s nothing I or anyone else can do about that so let’s try to spread the love that is so clearly lacking.
