something that absolutely blows my mind every time i think about it is how God's personal name in Hebrew is spelled YHWH, with no vowels, and the only way to pronounce it correctly is to take a breath and let it out.

guuuuyyssssss i'm literally crying omg--

so my dog sleeps in the garage and before you come at me the garage is ac'd so she's not burning up or anything she actually quite enjoys it out there at night because whenever i tell her "you wanna go to sleep?" she's happily follow me to the garage but anyways--

so yeah i have a little routine with her where i take her out and her claws tippy-tap as she jumps into the crate and curls into a ball next to the door and i pet her and tell her "good girl" and "goodnight puppy ily puppy" before i go inside to get ready for bed and that's the routine

so i went to a grad party today and didn't get home until late so my sister had to put her away and as i'm up in my room i hear my dog barking in the garage and i'm like "huh she never barks" so i get the bright idea to go down there and give her some pets or take her outside or whatever because maybe she heard me come home

so when i go into the garage she's sitting up with her nose stuck between the crate bars trying to look out and i take her out into the backyard to pee (she didn't) and then gave her a few pets when she clawed up my leg asking for some and then when i opened the door again to bring her into the garage she HAPPILY jumped into the crate and CURLED INTO A BALL

AND NOW SHE'S NOT BARKING GUYS SHE MISSED ME THAT'S WHY SHE WAS BARKING I'M SO DONE

we went over amputations in cna training and it got me thinking about this guy that my human physiology teacher in high school who lost both his legs in a mountain climbing accident when he was a teenager and he showed us the stumps and at some point he was talking about the different prosthetics he got had and how none of them fully worked for him and how he was designing his own and mind you there was like 25 people in this class but then somehow we got into a back and forth about the ergonomics of leg prosthetics and different designs and i was two seconds away from getting up and drawing a blueprint on the whiteboard so we could design the different prosthetic ideas we were talking about and everyone else was just watching

(long post warning whoops sorry lol)

so i got baptized today and after service i went to the orientation and i kinda knew what i was expecting cuz i went to my sister's orientation and it was like the pastor explained what it means then has everyone talk about why they're getting baptized and their spiritual journey and whatnot

and i was like "okay i think i know what i'm gonna say" cuz i was practicing in the shower and so i go into the room and we all sit in a circle and the pastor ends up sitting right next to me and i'm like 🥹 because i haven't really talked to him until now and i REALLY wanted to talk to him because he's so cool and so when he gets to the part where we share our testimonies and i'm sitting there praying like "pls i don't wanna go first" and the pastor turns to me and goes "lEt'S sTaRt WiTh YoU!!"

so i went and i was kinda getting emotional from all the nerves and stuff (which was surprising to me cuz i never cry) and i was kinda staring at the floor the whole time trying to remember what i wanted to say (i forgot it all but i got the idea across pretty well) and when i finished i looked at the pastor and he was TEARING UP HDFSJHS--

if you haven't read my testimony there's a part where i talked about the intern who did the skit at the Good Friday service that made me convert, and when i mentioned this to the orientation group i remember the pastor laughed a little.

now THAT'S IMPORTANT because when we all got to the beach where we were doing the baptisms the pastor had all the ppl getting baptized to come to the front of the group and as i was finding my place he touched my shoulder and said "i saw that intern you were talking about you should tell her about your testimony" or something like that and i saw her too for a moment but i didn't get an opportunity to talk to her

i was also nervous like what do i even say--

so there's also a part where the pastor has a few ppl share their testimonies to everyone at the event and HE CALLED ON ME I DIIIIED--

and that was kinda nice cuz i never rlly thought my testimony was ground-breaking or anything like i didn't go through any outrageous life-altering events i have a fairly normal life so ig seeing others' hold value in it was kinda validating idk--

but anyways after that we went down to the beach and i got in line and at some point i see the pastor talking to the intern and i heard him telling her about my testimony and then he waved me over SO I GOT TO TALK TO THE GIRL WHO MADE ME CONVERT JHFDGNLFGKNBFNG

this is getting kinda long so essentially when it was my turn i went into the ocean with the girl, the pastor, and one of my church choir friends it just so happened she was helping the pastor submerge everyone (she was SOO EXCITED that she got to dunk me lmaoooo) and i got baptized and (my sister recorded it) the girl was jumping for joy and the church choir friend kissed me like 16 times all over augh she's like my aunt i love her sm 😭

and then i exchanged numbers with the intern girl and she invited me to young adults ministry but it's the same day as choir practice which i was planning on going back to once i finished my cna training but i think i'll just end up going to young adults ministry for the majority of the year (bc i rlly need to join a bible study group and make more friends lmao) and then do choir for christmas and easter cuz they have special practices for those

but yeah that was my day lol 😊

INT. MODEST COTTAGE - DAY Closed curtains appear. Credits fade in and out in sequence. Curtains open, revealing a book on a pedestal near a window. The book is titled "Wish: The City of Dreams". i have a serious question for the my hero academia fandom and i may just be dumb and have missed this but my sister was watching it and it just occurred to me—

So we’re talking about Mirio’s quirk, Permeation. It makes his entire being or just a body part of his choosing intangible, which allows him to pass through, walls, floors, and even people. I remember him mentioning that when he activates his Quirk that he cannot see, hear, or breathe due to light, sound, and air passing through him.

My question is that if light passes through him when his Quirk is active, why is it that others (like Class 1-A when they all fought him) can see him? Shouldn’t he become invisible to everyone else’s eyes?

Think about it: The reason why anyone can see anything is because of the light that reflects off surfaces and goes into our eyes, which our brains process to tell us what we are seeing. If light isn’t reflecting off Mirio when he is intangible and instead passing through him, LIKE HE SAID, nobody should be able to see him.

I’ve been thinking about this for less than 10 minutes and it’s already bothering me. Unless I missed something, it should make no sense whatsoever and is probably a plot hole. However if you wanna look at it from a metaliterary standpoint (if i’m even using that word correctly), we all know Horikoshi is a perv and he probably either didn’t completely think Mirio's Quirk through or thought it would be funny if his clothes fell off when he activated his Quirk and . . . ummmm . . . exposed him during the fight with Class 1-A 🥴
