i know we have not a lot of information on astoria as a person, but the info we do have makes so much sense to me why draco fell so deeply in love with her. she was described as extremely kind, caring, and very open. she turned her back on pureblood traditions and beliefs— i don’ think yall get how big a deal that is. people make headcanons of the canon slytherin characters all the time but astoria is one of the only ones who genuinely fits the box of being a part of a noble pureblood family and rejecting their values (and she was probably in slytherin, which makes it ever rarer). she also seems extremely selfless— she wanted to have a baby just so draco wouldn’t be alone when she eventually died because she knew how hard it would be on him. draco had to turn against his own parents wishes and fight for their right to be married, which tells me astoria didn’t want to fight for herself and get in between draco’s relationship with his parents. considering draco’s character and all he sacrificed to honour his parents and have their approval, this was huge.

and then there’s that fucking letter bro. the one that draco writes to astoria on his birthday after she has passed away. HE STILL WRITES TO HER WHEN SHES GONE !!! this is like the equivalent of never deleting the number of someone who has died and letting the messages turn green because you know they wont respond but you’re doing it anyways because you miss them. ohhhhh im sick. draco loved her so so so much, she was his reason for redeeming himself and she gave him another reason to stay on that path once she was gone (scorpius).

i didnt mean for this to turn into such a rant in defense of drastoria but i’ve seen so many people complain about draco’s lack of a redemption arc and the fact that he gets with an unknown character instead of one of the main ones, but to me what we already have of drastoria is perfect. less ≠ bad ship.

i am very fond of galex. there's so many facets to it to explore. george's hero crush, alex owing his current seat to george's recommendation, childhood best friends, 2019 rookies together, george basically masterminding their entire narrative, lily's ongoing joke of "hi this is my boyfriend alex and this is his boyfriend george". they are weird about each other but fully own it and you know what i respect that greatly.

1. What made you ship it?

I saw fanarts of those two as a couple and after I thought about it I realised they could go well together. At the very least I know they'd be friends (even if Choso complained, Yuki would pester him until he resigned to his fate hahah). My feelings regarding this ship aren't too strong though, I kind of just went with the flow. I know I share a lot of chosoyuki art, but it's mainly because I like the art, not because of the ship on it.

To sum it up, I see them having some sort of relationship going on because of their personalities, but not necessarily that of a romantic kind. Either is fine to me.

2. What are your favorite things about the ship?

Yuki is probably one of the most open minded people in jjk and accepting Choso for who he is isn't a problem for her. I'm also sure she's interested in his very existence, but unlike Kenjaku, she sees him as a person and is also interested in his thoughts and feelings. Choso gets someone who understands him, and playful and curious Yuki gets something to explore. Sharing her ideology with him wouldn't be an issue either, and as someone who sits outside of the system and belongs to both and neither group at the same time, Choso wouldn't be judgemental of her ideas (and tbh her lifestyle too). I think he could give her some clever feedback as well judging by his input while they strategized on how to take Kenny down.

Also Yuki who's travelled the world and experienced many things is a great choice for showing Choso the beauty of life. And his calm and quiet nature contrasts her wild and loud one, they balance each other out.

I can also see her relentlessly teasing him, and that's fun to picture hahah

3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

Not really. Like I said, I went with the flow.

Two years after the war ends, the ambassadors and rulers of the nations gather in the Earth Kingdom to discuss progress in rebuilding.

“Chief Hakoda, what does the Southern Water Tribe require to rebuild?” The emissary from the Earth Kindgom enquired, still visibly confused that the Chief brought his two young children to the meeting. Sokka was almost 18 now, but that meant nothing to a room of grumpy old men. Although, none of them dared to minimize what those Water Tribe children had done for the world.

The emissary thought to himself that he shouldn’t think much of it considering the Fire Lord barely just reached 18 himself a few weeks ago. Said emissary had been very diligent in voicing his opinion this entire meeting. He considered it his duty to place the people of the Earth Kingdom in the highest priority considering how large their population was compared to the others. Because of the Earth Kingdom’s size it also had sustained the most damage during the war, and he only thought it fair that he have a substantial stake in the rebuilding allocations.

It was a long, dreary process that would probably take decades more, but luckily everyone in that board room was dedicated to making things go as smoothly as possible- at least for the most part. It’s sometimes hard to be civil when your people are hurting, but you must remember that others are hurting as well.

Chief Hakoda nodded to his daughter at his left. She straightened her back along with her scroll before standing to address the room. It was obvious to anyone in the room that this particular question was her area of expertise. Well…almost anyone.

“Thank you ambassador, the Southern Water Tribe is making real strides towards establishing a thriving independent economy again, but-“

“Excuse me, but shouldn’t your father be handing this discussion girl?” That same Earth Kingdom man spat the last word like a curse. “Sit down”

Now, it is worth noting that this man would not have been so bold had he not been so absorbed in himself that he did not take note of the Fire Lord slowly losing his composure with every word he spoke. It was not until Zuko himself stood that the green-clad man realized his mistake.

“Do you ever shut up?” Zuko looked as poised as his portrait but his words were laced with an unmissable venom.

“Lord Zuko I-“

“Enough, how dare you speak to her that way?”

The man tried to open his mouth once more but was quickly silenced.

“Do not interrupt me. I do believe you have advocated the needs of your people quite thoroughly. Would you agree?” The man nodded in agreement with Zukos statement

“Good, now sit down. And let her speak,” The young Fire Lord then turned to the Water Tribe emissary. “I apologize ambassador Katara, please. Continue” Zuko returned to the floor as if nothing happened, and sipped his tea contentedly.

An hour after the meeting ended Zuko was reviewing his notes. His robes were abandoned on the floor and he sat hunched over his candle lit desk in only a pair of black trousers, his hair pulled half up with a wooden pin.

He was just about to abandon the seemingly endless scrolls in lieu of maybe getting a good nights rest for once when his door slammed open.

“What the hell was that about?!” Katara stormed into his room, nearly tripping over the layers of fabric strewn across the wooden floor.

Zuko jumped to his feet, startled. “What are you talking about?” The look of genuine confusion on his face almost gave Katara pause- almost.

“In there! With that Earth Kingdom emissary! You know, I don’t need you to fight my battles for me, I can defend myself just fine! Might I remind you that I held my own against much worse months before you even cut that stupid ponytail off!?”

“Katara I’m sorry I was just trying to-“

“I don’t want to hear it! You completely undermined me!” She was pacing about the room now, Zuko was sure she hadn’t even glanced in his directed since starting her rant, he began to look around frantically for a shirt to throw on to no avail. “They have to learn that I am my own person and I don’t need some man to defend me”

Finally, she sat on the edge on his bed and placed her face in her hands.

“I didn’t do it because you’re a woman, I did it because I am the Fire Lord and you are an emissary and friend to me. I would not let someone disrespect you. I would have done the same if it was Sokka. I was looking for an opportunity to tell him to shut up hours before, you just gave me a perfect opportunity. I guess I should be thanking you for that.” At that moment, Zuko noted a red silk scarf on the edge of his desk, he quickly pulled it over his shoulders to cover his chest and stomach.

Katara finally raised her head, and looked as if she was about to speak for a moment. She closed her mouth and cocked her head to the side quizzically. She then let out a laugh.

“So, do you just casually wear silk scarves around your room?” Zuko blushed.

“No, I-“

“Oh come on Zuko, it’s just me,” She strode over to him and gave one end of it a sharp tug, causing it to fall freely to the ground. She gave a satisfied smirk at the slightly embarrassed look on Zukos face. Katara was just about to leave, happy with the verbal berating and light embarrassment she had just filed out when her eyes drifted slightly south.

Her gaze landed on a dark twisted scar taking up a monopoly on Zukos skin. The large burst where his ribs met arcing out down his stomach and across his chest in thin lines. Azulas lightning.

Lightning that had been meant for her.

Zuko sucked in a sharp breath, barely moving. It wasn’t until then that Katara noticed that she had placed her hand upon it. Before she could process what she was saying she asked.

“Did you keep seeing the healers like I told you to?”

“I-Uh, of course I did” Zukos blush reached his neck that time.

“So no then. At least let me help while I’m here. Lie down,” If there was one thing Zuko knew at this point, it was that there was never any use fighting Katara. So he obliged as she collected the bowl of rose water left on the night stand.

“You haven’t been treating it so this might hurt a little,”

“It’s okay, I’m used to it” It was Zukos turn to speak without thinking, but he didn’t need to explain. They had all felt their fair share of pain over the last few years. His companion simply nodded and hummed lightly as the water began to glow.

“Agni have mercy” Zuko found himself murmuring. That hurt way more than he thought it would. Okay, no more skipped healers appointments. He felt like he was going to pass out at any second. Suddenly, the glowing stopped.

“Woah, woah, hey. Are you okay? All the color just drained from your face” Zukos next words were entirely incoherent, no better than if he had way too much fire whiskey. “Okay, that’s enough for you.” Katara then soaked a cloth and cooled it with her bending before placing it across his forehead. “There, you’re gonna be just fine.”

Zukos entire world was spinning, but then again- it tended to do that whenever Katara came around. He forced his eyelids open to look at her. There was so much worry and care painted across her face, and his head was too foggy. He said something, but neither of them had any idea what, so he tried once more.

“I love you, Katara”

The last thing he saw was her shocked expression, a dusting of pink across her dark complexion, before darkness claimed him.

MY BABIES, MY LOVES, MY DARLINGS -- we all know this is my current flavor of brainrot.

it's ai di's bold and loud ferocity and chen yi's stoic dedication. it's ai di's overflowing love and loyalty and chen yi's oblivious but steadfast protection. it's the "small" angry one and the tall calm one. it's the "competent" leader and his angry chihuahua boyfriend. it's that ai di seems unhinged and reckless but is actually calculated and skilled in everything he does.

it's that ai di seems like chen yi is his only friend and yet he adores ze rui and zong yi and gravitates towards them in times of need. it's ai di's lingering 'what ifs' about life and his past.

and chen yi and his illogical crush and refusal to see reality. chen yi and his protective instincts for ai di that he doesn't realize are signs of his love. his rampant and unchecked jealousy that never seems to clue him in on his feelings.

THEY'RE EVERYTHING. i hope i never lose the brainrot for them.

Ohhh, this is really interesting. I think it would go smth like this.

Bojan and Jure-physical touch, Jan and Nace-acts of service and Kris-quality time.

I think they balance it out for the most part tho? They all spent a lot of time together, they all seem very physically affectionate and well. Small acts of service like cooking or bringing each other smth can always be done. (Although god knows some of them shouldn't be cooking)

24. Sleeping/cuddling positions? (Big spoon, little spoon, etc.)?

Bxjxnxnxx oh this is a mess 😂 I feel like they have some sort of rotation that Kris set up since very few beds can hold 5 grown men. But as a general rule, I feel like Nace and Jan prefer being big spoons, Kris and Jure like being in the middle and Bojan likes being the small(est) spoon

28. Who always steals the other's food? How does their partner react to it?

Jure. Big cat energy. Kris scoffs but never actually says no. Bojan pushes the whole plate closer to him, Jan feeds him bits of his own food and Nace already has a second plate already at hand in case anyone wanted more food

Both. Zuko was nervous he'd screw up the date and Sokka was nervous Zuko would realize he could do better.

for the ask ship game: drastoria, jeddy and romione

romione: i feel like i shouldnt even talk and let the books do the talking for me. the slowburn was ferocious. the relationship building ate every other hp couple up. with each installation the verse puts out that includes them in it they’re even more in love. it makes me want to rip my hair out that so much romione content is sidelined for other ships and only exist as a side pairing to other ships. ron is so clearly the only one who makes sense for hermione and vice versa hermione to ron. i have never seen a good argument from a romione anti about why they shouldn’t be together or how they would not work out realistically. i can chalk every argument up to classism, a critique of ron’s portrayal in the movies, or a misunderstanding of character flaws that are exacerbated by PUBERTY and the general emotional instability of an average teenager. you look me in the eye and tell me you have never tweaked out when you were teenager. you look me in the eye and tell me that having magic wouldnt make that worse. i’ve actually already made an essay-long post about romione so lets not even get me started on it LOL

drastoria: i’ve already screamed about my reasons here.

jeddy: jeddy is hard because teddy and james sirius are mostly fanon so it’s difficult to ascertain whether they would make sense or not based on personality. we basically know nothing about teddy’s personality and get a handful of lines from james in the cursed child. they seem both to have a rebellious side— james opting to disobey his parents to have a good laugh and the rita skeeter article written about teddy at the quidditch world cup final (which could have been complete slander knowing skeeter) but from what little we do know— teddy is very close with the potter family (lily basically calls him family), presumably since he was born or at least very young since they consider each other family. teddy is also six years older than james. going off that alone, if teddy was around when james was very young, or even when he was born, then no, jeddy doesn’t make sense. it would be a bit creepy, no? fanonly, i’m 50/50– i’ve read some pretty shit jeddy fics but it comes with the territory of liking scorbus so i have to suck it up 😭 but yeah, its a no from me.

Bones said, "I love you." directly first. I headcanon that Spock realizes his feelings for McCoy first, but he doesn't say the words "I love you". Instead he says it in other ways, such as, "I am more efficient on the job when I know that you're safe."

McCoy. He would have a picture of his daughter as his lock screen but Spock would be his homescreen. It would be one he took, when he thought Spock wouldn't notice. The vulcan has the faintest smile on his face as he's bent over a microscope working on something. Neither of them mention the fact that Spock only start smiling when McCoy pulled out the phone.

Bones. Spock doesn't see a point to it. He'll always read the messages but then he disinfects and wipes down his mirror.

They both do. Spock would argue his gifts aren't cheesy, they're practical, and the ones that aren't he gave because he knew Dr. McCoy would want them. Which is not cheesy, but the point of gift giving. However Bones would just own up to it. He likes seeing Spock's reactions, even if strangers can't spy the small differences in his expressions, Bones can.

McCoy. No doubt in my mind, McCoy would initiate the first 'human' kiss. (Spock went in to hug McCoy in canon before and McCoy held his hand and shook it instead. So Spock absolutely initiated the first 'Vulcan' kiss.)

McCoy. It's typically a forehead, or cheek kiss. Sometimes if Spock is sleeping in, McCoy will kiss him on one of his ears to get a reaction.

Neither. They don't really do tickle fights, and I feel like if they did, McCoy would start it, and lose it.

Spock would ask to join, but only after McCoy has invited him in a few times before in the past. There would need to be a precedent of it for Spock to feel comfortable enough to ask.

They both do this, but Spock does it most often. He has McCoy's schedule memorized and checks in an hour after his lunch should have been. If Bones hasn't had lunch by then, Spock uses the sickbay's replicator to make them food and eats with him.

McCoy. This man has a ton of southern charm but none of it helps him against Spock's vulcan stoicism. He was absolutely worried that Spock wasn't having a good time. (Which inevitably would lead to him picking a fight just to get a reaction out of Spock.)

Spock takes them out. McCoy isn't scared of spiders, and will take them out if he's the only one around. Spock doesn't like the idea of killing spiders, so they always take them out.

Bones. He gets loud, and very proud. He would brag about Spcok's accomplishments to anyone who tried to say anything slightly negative about the vulcan, while drunk (or sober). Spock gets more possessive when he's drunk.

Since we’ve been doing the ship game this week, someone asked who I thought I was best matched with, but since I would obviously be very biased, I thought I’d ask y’all!(I guess this also kinda counts as a little get to know me post, lol)

I’m a ‘94 liner, Scorpio x6(I know, yikes), Pisces moon, Cancer rising.

I have ADHD, Anxiety and Depression.

I’m introverted, but I’m pretty friendly once I find something to talk about. I'm also very sarcastic and love making people laugh.

I’m obsessed with all styles of music(lowkey want to get into producing/remixing) and I love to sing. I enjoy reading, writing, cooking, baking, and crochet. I also really love animals and wanted to be a zoologist when I was younger.

I’m really into researching and studying the paranormal and folklore, as well as history, languages, different cultures, and art. I want to go back to school to study early childhood education, though I worry I wouldn’t be very good at it.

I’m kinda the parent/grandma friend and tend to take care of others, though I’m not the best at looking out for myself. I don't have the best self image, but we're trying to work on that.

I hate conflict, but I will fight to the death over the stupidest subjects like mint chocolate. I also really don’t like loud noises, darkness, passive aggression, or being cold.

When you introduced your dragon to Gendry, he was shaking like a leaf - despite it being a warm day. You knew he was trying to hide his fear. When you climbed ontop of Viserion, you called out, "YOU COMING OR WHAT??" and Gendry couldn't breathe. (It took himm five interactions with Viserion for him to get on as well). And yes, Viserion is completely fine with Gendry. He likes him a lot. Sees him as him for what he is.

Definitely a mix! I think you have a lot of personality traits from Dany, Sansa, Arya (arya a lot actually), even Missendei. You have a polite demeanour and don't like bothering others (you aren't. I think like that too because of how I was raised, but we're humans that deserve to take up space!).

You actually really remind me of grown up Rhaenyra Targaryen (I know we're in got era) but they wanted to cast a 'rockstar' feeling person for that role, and I think you're really like Rhaenyra. But with a bit more hesitancy towards arguments.

As one of the only Targaryens left in the world, it made you one of the only dragonriders left as well.

Dany was curious whenever you interacted with her dragons. Drogon would give a curious growl, until he smelt you. Understanding you were like Dany. You felt like you could look into his eyes, and he let you. Mutual respect was there.

Rhaegal was less aggressive and blew smoke at you. Instantly you knew this was going to be a banter like relationship.

And then there was Viserion.

Instantly when you looked at him you fell to your knees. Staring at the beautiful gold and white dragon. There was a pull inside you. Something had hooked your very soul and you knew the other hook was in the youngest dragon.

Viserion whined as he looked at you, his strong body getting up and moving toward you. But you couldn't move, you had been hoping this would happen, and it was!
