I'm tired of LGBT in video games being "pandering"

"Keep politics out of video games!" Is the first thing I usually hear people say when you being up a lack of lgbt relationships in video games.

Like first of all, you realize that nobody actually even WANTS LGBT to be political except for annoying cishets who want to stand in the way of our desire for basic representation. I don't want my life to be political. In fact, if we wanted to keep out politics from games the best thing you could say is "okay sure" and then I wouldn't feel compelled to spend my entire god damned life having to argue with twerps just so the next generation won't have to deal with the shitugly cesspool of heteronormative media that I've had to spend my whole life drowning in.

"But this game isn't about relationships or sex" yeah ofc its not, but that didn't stop this game from having hetero couple a. Or hetero couple b. Or quest/dialogue about hetero pairings 1,2,3,etc. "Those" gamers make cricket noises over any straight couples and cisnormative behaviors but the second a char with any lgbt is portrayed its political and pandering.

Anyway, why not just put your dumb as hell political agenda away and let us have games where we can see ourselves represented and not have to live in a world that, due to a lack of any lgbt representation, is somehow less realistic than real life (because in the real world, we exist, believe it or not)
