My name is Gergely Takács and I am a research scientist. I am a very curious person: I like good ideas and I am fascinated by technology. I also like simple solutions and creating things that have never existed before.
Awsome implementation of the classic “ball on plate” balancing system by a student of our institute, Dávid Hámor; supervised by Dr. Tomáš Volenský. The work uses the well-known PID controller and the algorithm is implemented on an Arduino Uno MCU prototyping system.
Flashing the Discovery F4 series MCU board with an external ST-Link V2 dongle (Chinese clone though). Couldn’t get to work through the SWD header, connected 3.3 V to VDD, GND to GND, SWDIO to PA13 and SWCLK to PA14 instead. Works like a charm.
