One of the coolest parts about being a fan of fanfic is you can actually contact the author. And they will respond. And then you can message them nonstop until they allow you into their lives and then you’re becoming their beta reader and suddenly you know multiple authors of all types of fiction books and fanfic authors who will drag out their deleted fics for you to read at a moments notice.

Anyway. Comment on fics and message authors. It’s absolutely worth it.

today i wrote zero words! but i did think about my story twice in passing. that probably counts for something

Okay but can we all agree how much more obviously creepy Darcy X Riven would be if genders were reversed?

Like. Even if you do not subscribe to the #spelled verse, Darcy still NEARLY KILLED RIVEN just to create a situation in which he feels SO deathly unsafe and betrayed that he'd latch onto the practically a stranger who 'saved' him, because she believes him and doesn't dismiss his pain?

Then she proceeds to isolate him from the only support system he's got.

Riven would have been much more obvious as a victim that he is if he were a girl.

And I think the cast would have gone through more effort to bring him back if he were one as well.

Another one of my fave moments from the winx comics is when they try to introduce a boyfriend for Roxy called Manuel My favourite tidbit of him is that he's supposedly handsome, and looks like Brandon but blonde. Then he shows up LOOKING LIKE S5 SKY????? HMMMMMM Sky u wanna explain smth?

I also realised this gives me confirmation that Brandon is tall bc Manuel is described as tall, but that doesn't matter

There are so many things I love about the 1st page...

The guys teasing Brandon like "Yeah!! Manuel is way more handsome than Brandon ;)" while Brandon watches his own murder with most mortified fucked up expression (Look at Helia joining in on the violence, I wish Riven was here)

Stella excitedly asking for a picture, then going "Whaaat? No way someone can be more handsome than Brandon...lemme see. Yknow, for research purposes *wink wink nudge nudge* " WITHIN EARSHOT OF BRANDON

And best of all, Tecna telling Timmy to BREACH SCHOOL PRIVACY to so that the others can look at hot guy pictures...Tecna that's not "a good cause" !!!

The 2nd pic from a subsequent comic is also amazing...As much as I love cool mature conflict resolution Brandon, I also LOVE teasing, drama-stirring ass Brandon so much

Look at his tiny smug expression compared to Sky's >:(

Sky: Don't you dare. Brandon: I'm gonna do it. Sky: Oh my god.

Brandon's fruity ass "OOOOH" along with his stupid ass teasing, followed by Sky going "Shut up Brandon." gets me every time asdfgghjjk

Manuel's snipe back at Brandon of "Imagine Stella avoiding u" at the end is so funny bc Brandon replies with such AUDACITY?????

Sir you can't say that when there's literally a comic where y'all broke up and were avoiding each other

do these people just not know what Sky looks like lmao? did Erendor keep him locked in the palace like rapunzel and now nobody knows what the prince looks like?

I refuse to believe that Stella, the crown princess of Solaria doesn't know what the prince of Eraklyon looks like.

It would have made so much more sense if Brandon was blonde. then at least they could be like yeah but all blondes look the same. so what if his eyes changed colour he just does that sometimes. it's the florescence

at least bleach his hair or something. put a little effort into it damn.

Helia: You were literally engaged to her when you decided to start dating Bloom. You had every opportunity to inform Bloom of your engagement, or just hold off from dating until you cut off the engagement. Instead you acted like a coward and the result was both girls putting themselves at risk, and embarrasing the Eraklyon royal family in front of millions. You let Diaspro take the heat for the failed engagement, and have put a major strain on the relationship between Quartz and Eraklyon, two of the largest political figures in the magical dimension.

on sky needing a class consciousness subplot; that exchange when he kicks rivens ass training, and riven makes a snide comment about how he’d be that good too if he’d been trained by experts his entire life, and sky gets all self righteous about how ‘I wouldn’t have beaten you if I didn’t do the work’? one of the best, most lucid moments in the show (for the boys anyway) and I will make it an arc ALONE if I have to

That exchange is exactly where I first got the idea too! It's so good and real and it kills me that they didn't follow up on it. It's the moment where Riven started to become my favorite specialist, and one of the few times where I actually found myself interested in Sky as a character lmao

Like, to me Sky is That Rich Person that doesn't neccesarily look down on those who have less than him, but also doesn't check his privilige, and doesn't consider how his actions affect others. And there's a lot of potential for him to grow from that point through those kinds of interactions with Riven(and Bloom and Musa, but I think Riven would confront him about it the most)

I also think there's a lot of potential in comparing and contrasting the Riven/Sky and Musa/Stella dynamics in that they both feature a lower class character living in close quarters with literal royalty, but the latter ends up being a much more positive relationship

But all of that's just a really long winded way of saying YOU ARE RIGHT, and I would so read that story

Actually I have figured out my favorite brella moment, it's that time in the comics when Stella almost got hit by a car and Brandon spends the next morning pointing at different cars going, "Is This The One That Hurt You Queen???"
