a conversation I overheard after today's rehearsal between the stage manager and an actor:

Sm: I get you can't actually hit her with the bottle, but could you at least try and make it look realistic?

Actor: if you want it to look real, then get me a bottle that isn't made out of the thickest glass ever. I really doubt [other actor] wants a concussion

Sm: it looks good when you hit [third actor]! Why can't you just do that for both of them!

Actor: Well that's because I hate [third actor]. I don't care if he gets brain damage

you know, as somebody with a name that gets misspelled fairly often, it gives me an inordinate amount of joy to see it spelled correctly in emails and stuff, especially if they aren't auto-generated, cause it means an actual person actually spelled it right

it is written in the odyssey that Odysseus killed the suitors butt naked, asscheeks flapping in the wind. when the Ithaca saga comes around, I expect to see animatics and fanart of him killing suitors with a really poor censor and blood on his face.
