Movie/Gaming Double Feature Recommendation #1: Totally Killer and Killer Frequency
Totally Killer synopsis: Thirty-five years after the shocking murders of three teens, an infamous killer returns on Halloween night to claim a fourth victim. When 17-year-old Jamie comes face-to-face with the masked maniac, she accidentally time-travels back to 1987. Forced to navigate the unfamiliar culture, Jamie teams up with her teenage mother to take down the psycho once and for all.
Killer Frequency synopsis: The game is set in 1987 in the small town of Gallows Creek, where players take on the role of Forest Nash, a late-night radio DJ who must act as a radio dispatcher when a serial killer, known as the Whistling Man, returns to terrorize the town.
Both games have an 80s setting and the atheistic and aren't shy of poking fun of the era or those apart of it. Both are great for a laugh and surprisingly tense moments. The biggest Strength of both these subjects is the characters. Whether it's the younger versions of Jamie's parents in Totally Killer or the residents of gallows creek who call in to the radio show in Killer Frequency.
Great double feature for anyone who loves characters that instantly grab your affection. Or love lots of dark humor. Totally Killer also has some fun kills for gore hounds. Killer Frequency is more tell not show but you feel every mistake you make.
So if you love the 80s and horror it's a match made in neon heaven
Playing dead by daylight after falling off of it for a year is insane. Everything is just slightly different and almost unsettling haha. It like visiting your old highschool 馃槀馃槀
I am a solo indie dev trying to overcome my anxiety and actually let people know my game exists. It is a cute physics based game where you are the level.
I love making this game with passion and I am so excited to share it with the world, but somehow I need to let the world know. Unfortunately the way steam works is the more wishlists the more visibility, so if you are interested it is super appreciated :)

Hi call me Gizmo. I'm 25 years old. Male he/him. I started this Tumblr to post/talk about my hyper fixations and make friends so any one can feel free to message me if you wanna chat.
Wrestling games definitely need to start introducing fictional characters as dlc playable characters. It probably fits better in fire in the Fire Pro series but it would be cool to see in WWE games.
And I think the best choice to be added to a wrestling game is majima from the Yakuza series. I mean look at the gif he's so ready for it haha.
Ways I've tried to sum up videogame's plots and themes to my girlfriend
Danganronpa: Evil teddy bear makes kids kill each other then roleplay judge Judy to decide who did it
Ace attorney series: Court game where you try to prove your client is innocent. Like 75% of the cast is queer coded in some way and the ships in the fandom are wild
Yakuza series: Either the most heart breaking drama you've ever seen or complete cartoon chaos. No in-between
Twisted Metal: Demolition derby with psychopaths
Psychonaunts: Go into people's brain to fix them and get camp badges
Silent Hill: Personal hell + cults + the strangest things being sexualized
I really hope that when Yakuza finally does end kiryu's story (for real this time) I hope they still include the poundmates mechanic because there's definitely 3 poundmates that should be unlocked as you progress throughout kiryu's final story.
Yuta Usama (Heihaizi of the Saio Triad): Yuta steps inside the ring of gasoline surrounding him and the enemy/enemies and throws a lighter into the gas to make a ring of fire. Inside the ring of fire Yuta goes all out with his brawler style until he has his opponent backed up against the fire before chucking a wine glass full of gas at the opponent for one more blaze of glory. Causing damage to all enemies in battle.
Haruka Sawamura (The Yakuza's Daughter): Haruka wearing her idol outfit, Sings Dream from Yakuza 5. While she sings images of a dragon flying through petals from the queen of the night flower. All party members get health recovery
Members of the Morning Glory Orphanage (Legacy of the Dragon): Starts with it looking like the child versions of the morning glory kids running to kiryu's aid. Quickly switching to them at their current adult ages. Using their personal skills and copying some of kiryu's old moves to help the party by dealing minor damage and various buffs.
Just my ideas for fun poundmates summons hope you like it
These two have the same energy and I can't be convinced otherwise.
The guy being older, straight man of the duo dispite being just as weird, builds an older brother role in girl's life. They both literally talk to a killer via call to distract them long enough to save their partner.
The girl is funny, energetic, and makes friends with literally everyone they meet. Not to mention family issues
Thoughts of someone watching Gilmore Girls for the first time in 2024
Just for reference I started watching the show because it's my girlfriend's favorite show and she wanted to share it with me. Watching it with her has become one of my favorite ways to spend a quiet night in.
We are currently on season 3 only a few episodes in. These are random quotes I've said to her while watching Gilmore Girls with her.
It must be weird for Rory to be literally the most mature person in an entire town
I'm really hoping Luke hits Taylor at some point
Jesse is the "guy friend" that all boyfriend's hate
I'm completely convinced that Emily's actor could have played a live action Disney villain. Preferably the wicked stepmother
Richard is the best character and no one can convince me otherwise
I'm shocked Luke dealt with Jesse as long as he did
I still can't decide if I like Paris or not
I feel sorry for Kirk. He's just so kirk
Micheal is this shows equivalent of Squidward. Watch it when your younger he seems like a jerk. As you get older you can't help but see where he is coming from
I get the same anxiety seeing an awkward conversation at Emily and Richards house as I do watching a tense scene in a horror movie
Emily can do catholic grandmother levels of guilt tripping
Lane's mom is the queen of mental warfare and I'm convince she runs the town
The further I watch into the show the more I'm convinced Rory is the shows antagonist
Lorelai is terrifying how easily she destroyed max and moved on like nothing happened
Poor Max didn't deserve his treatment
Loving the show so far and can't wait to discover more of it's craziness
I just finished Killer Frequency this morning and honestly I really enjoyed it.
The game is basically you are a late night radio dj roped into being the small town of gallows Creek's 911 operator for the night as a killer dressed as a town legend stalks and attempts to kill various citizens. The advice and choices you make will decide if the citizen survives or dies in their encounter with the killer.
Positives:
It's best quality is definitely the wide quirky cast of characters. My personal faves being roller Ricky and his pooch max
The dynamic and relationship between the player character Forest Nash and his producer Peggy
Easter eggs and references everywhere. Even the achievement names got a few laughs out of me
Great game for achievement hunters.
Can be beaten in about four to six hours
And of course wouldn't be a game about being a radio dj without great tunes
Negatives:
Some calls are clearly more rushed and less thought out than others
The killer reveal and motive feels semi rushed in the back half of the game
Controls can be very sensitive when trying to precisely select a item. Like when choosing a record to play
The collectables seem pointless. Especially when you get most of them via the main story anyway
Though it's technically a horror game don't expect a very scary experience
Overall I'd highly recommend this game. Perfect for those who want a unique but interesting gaming experience. Great for achievement hunters who want a painless platinum.
Those who disliked dialogue heavy game and want action heavy gameplay probably won't enjoy it as much.
If you guys played it I'd love to hear what you thought of it.
