Self care and Witchcraft!
Goddess bath glamour spell!
Bathing rituals have forever been around in the craft. Self care is very important when practicing your magic, especially in glamour. You want to be tidy and clean, this helps with keeping your mind at ease focused and refreshed. Water is potent in our lives as human beings and it spiritually cleanses us. In this spell we are going to focus on building our energy in the most relaxing way possible.
Ingredients/What you will need
PSA❗️Slight mentions of nudity❗️As you gather and set up your bath, you want to have some music going, it can be any type you want . I recommend some happy calming upbeat sensual music. Get as comfortable as possible. You want to have this kind of strong and peaceful energy out there as you set your bath up. Say some intentions while as you’re filling up your tub, putting things in there and lighting candles.
Roses/Lily/Marigold/Sunflower (You do not have to use all of these flowers you can use either one of them individually or together)
1/2 Cup of Epsom salts
1/4 Cup of Himalayan pink salts
Whole dried lavender/rosemary/eucalyptus (You do not have to use all of these herbs, you can use either one of them individually or together)
Three drops of ylang Yang essential oil and three drops of jasmine oil
Tablespoon of Florida water or Moon water
Pink or purple amethyst, clear quartz, citrine and tigers eye (You do not have to use all of these crystals, I recommend getting any of the amethyst and the clear quartz, you can use all if you want too)
Figurines or Statues of Goddesses (I recommend Aphrodite,Oshun,Isis,Lilith,Gaia,Hecate,Yemaya. You can even get pictures of these goddesses and set them by the bath, tape them on the shower wall. If you don’t have any of these figurines you can use figurines or pictures of mermaids, water nymphs, forest fairies ect)
Pink/white/red/purple/blue/yellow candles (You do not have to use all of these candles, if you have a small bath tub having one candle is fine, be careful with fire, tea candles work well too and it’s a bit more contained) (I recommend Pink,Red,Yellow, or White candles)
Exfoliating net,luffa, or wash rag
What to do!
Now your energy is flowing all around! As it should be, this is your safe space. You can wear a bikini or go full commando either way is fine. When you get in the tub you can just bask in it. Sit back and relax, move around, let the water get a feel of you. Start washing yourself with the water and state your petitions or you can state some invocations. To spice it up a bit more you can get a handheld mirror and do the glamour spell I posted the other day.
Whatever you do you want to make this about you. If you wanna cleanse yourself and let go then let go, if you need a fixer upper, any kind of pick me up then pick yourself up. You have control over what you make your magic. Make it beautiful. When you’re done drain the tub and thank the goddesses, universe or yourself. Whomever you want. Give out that gratitude. Blessed be!

Colorism in Glamour!?
Dionne,Ashley and Whitely. Black hyper femme characters in the media. I think this representation was fairly well. All three of them had wonderful outgoing and fun personalities. They weren’t snobbish or overly dramatic or rude like most characters who are rich are perceived. I will say that this was possibly done due to a huge amount of colorism in the 90s. The ones who showcased these well off luxury living people with femme qualities were often lighter skinned black women or mixed raced/biracial women. They were cute and bubbly, very relaxed and carefree worrying about their looks more than what happened outside of the vanity. While black women of darker skin and unambiguous appearances who had these hyperfemme traits still had to work hard, manage a family, never have time for hobbies or fun, all while maintaining the beauty status. They were very serious and uptight about money management or keeping their relationship in check. Or these women just couldn’t have it all, they were the family’s mule, they were showed to be aggressive or unfriendly so they didn’t have any social life, constantly ridiculed for not meeting an expectation set by the Patriarchy. Women like Bernadine (Played by Angela Basset) in “Waiting to exhale” is a common theme when it comes to these kinds of women in the media. They are something I like to call as “Tragic Belle”. They are the women who can never catch a break struggling to find ways through a man’s worlds. Hence the title name. From the start of the movie to the end, Bernadine is continuously slapped in the face with requirements and duties that weighs on her back, she never has any kind of help or reassurance. She never complains and bottles all her emotions inside. She is waiting for that weight to be lifted, waiting for a breather, waiting to exhale. Ready to let go, but the barriers around her won’t allow her too.
(Other chractaers relating to this is Roz ( played by Lynn Whitfield) in “Eves Bayou” and Natalie( played by Gabrielle Union) in “Tyler Perry’s good deeds”z Being beautiful and rich was not something that they could just have and enjoy. This was more so like another job.

Depictions of Oya in media
It is tornado season. The season of change and destruction. Transformation and rebirth.
Here are some different designs of Storm/Ororo from the X-men franchise. I’ve always thought she was a powerful goddess and amazing character. I love how strong and dangerous she is but she is also beautiful loving. When I started looking into the Orishas and African mythology I instantly realized Ororo has been greatly inspired by Oya. Funny they both have names that start with an O. Both have control over the winds.
Oya has an unrecognized influence in her design. Just like many other different African Mythology used in the media. It’s either misinformed and represented or not done well enough like other mythology that isn’t of euro background. I think Storm is one the most popular characters in fiction and the one most looked at for black representation.

NEW WITCH BLOG POST
Hi I’m Vye, and I am a witch! Just like many of you that come across my page, I hope the algorithm treats me right😭 I am 19 years old, African American woman residing in the horrors of living here. Magic helps me get through the day and when my mind is clouded I need some peace and help to get out of a funk. I just started doing glamour magic back in 2023 of November, so as I am teaching, inspiring or helping you I am also learning. We are learning together. This is the first day I created this page and I want to say thank you to those who have skimmed, slid or completely ran across, over or under it. Thank you for viewing my page and I hope you can stick around for more. Even if you’re not a witch or you have never been interested in this kind of community I thank you for being here. PSA !! What I will not condone on my page is bullying, stealing with no creds, harassment or any kind and bigotry towards anyone. Like I state in my description this is an OPEN TO ALL blog post, everyone is welcome as long as we respect and support each other as well as give that back to each other. Another PSA is that some topics I discuss will sometimes mention sex and sexuality. Nothing graphic or into details but very light on the surface, if you are a minor which means under the legal age of adulthood. 18…not 15+ not 16+, I don’t care for that. If you are under the age of adulthood and you happen to see post like what I am saying, with a clear warning of what’s being talked about (that I will mention in the post) and I see you comment anything under it, ANY INTERACTION OF ANY KIND. I WILL BLOCK YOU from seeing it. I don’t need to explain myself as an adult, why you as a minor can’t be on those specific posts. I gave you a warning please don’t take it personally. Now, that’s out the way, Welcome to our safe space! Feel free to comment your blogs or what kind of witch or what kind of magic you do. I want to be a outlet for all to share the craft and connect wonderful people. Blessed be💖

Simple glamour spells!
So you wanna do some glamour? But you don't have candles, herbs, crystals ect. None of that is always needed ya know. As long as your mind is cleared and your frequency is high, you can do these simple spells. Its not always a drawn circle or a sacrifice, sometimes it's just a mirror in your hand and you make statements/petitions. Hold the mirror in your hand and gaze at your reflection. start from your hair down to the tip of your chin. You want to say things like they are already there, so don't use words like wish, want or "future me." Have the energy of "you are already receiving/have received" out into the universe.
"My hair is luxurious" "My hair is growing so nicely" "I love my hair"
"My eyelashes have grown so long and curly" "I have pretty eyes"
"I love how people compliment my nose" "The mole on my face is so cute and others think so too" "My cheeks are so rounded and rosey"
"My jaw is so defined, carved from the gods/goddesses" "Wow my teeth are so white, I have an amazing smile"
You can close off that spell with saying how much you appreciate and love the way you look and how others make you feel unique about your beauty. This spell will keep you secure in yourself and make you more confident. Now this is not an instantaneous thing for those with self doubt, but I assure you keep this routine going and you will be much better than before. I recommend you speak more positively about the insecurities you have instead of saying the "basics" like "I look angelic, I have doll lips" everything in spells boils down to the specifics. Remember nothing is wrong with you, nobody else is like you. You are your own gorgeous individual self.

Glamour Magick, what is it?
The magick of glamour is corresponding with the energy of your intentions and putting them into your beauty rituals,VIA clothing, makeup, perfume or jewelry. This type of magic can be used for Protection, charm or beauty spells, invocation(sometimes involved in seances), and even invisibility spells. What glamour can do to you physically and spiritually is bring you confidence, make you more comfortable in your own skin, bring you strength and happiness and can even find you love, romantically and within yourself!
