A famed hunter taught by Oromë himself and a quick tempered warrior who dove head-first into the Oath of his father Fëanor.

A redraw of my old line art of him. I have been mixing my old pencil style with colors and my newer appreciation for anatomy.

Maedhros

Maedhros, Maitimo, Russandol, Nelyafinwë… After rescue, not fully recovered. Always liked the idea that he would have to cut his hair off after being saved by Fingon.

Eönwë and Sauron

After the War of Wrath

"When Thangorodrim was broken and Morgoth overthrown, Sauron put on his fair hue again and did obeisance to Eönwë, the herald of Manwë, and abjured all his evil deeds. And some hold that this was not at first falsely done, but that Sauron in truth repented, if only out of fear, being dismayed by the fall of Morgoth and the great wrath of the Lords of the West. But it was not within the power of Eönwë to pardon those of his own order, and he commanded Sauron to return to Aman and there receive the judgement of Manwë. Then Sauron was ashamed, and he was unwilling to return in humiliation and to receive from the Valar a sentence, it might be, of long servitude in proof of his good faith; for under Morgoth his power had been great. Therefore when Eönwë departed he hid himself in Middle-earth; and he fell back into evil, for the bonds that Morgoth had laid upon him were very strong."

Cross Fandom Comic

My friend @smetakovec and I worked on this crossover post between the horror manga ‘Killing and Stalking’ and the Second Age of the Silmarillion with Annatar betraying and torturing Celebrimbor for the location of the elven rings.

In the manga, the pleading character begs not to be put back into the basement, because it's so dark. And asks that the other character not leave him there. To which the other responds, "of course it's dark... it's a basement."

We decided to have fun with it and put a little Silmarillion twist on it.

We had a lot of fun as always, and I look forward to working with them again soon! @smetakovec did Celebrimbor as Yoonbum and I did Annatar as Sangwoo. Enjoy!

Pet Portrait

A pet portrait commission that I made to help a grieving owner who had lost their dearest friend and companion.

Art has a way of immortalizing our loved ones. I hope that they were comforted by this piece. The commissioner gave me permission to post.

Hello, I like your rendering of Melkor, especially portraying him smiling. Which character do you enjoy drawing the most and why?

Hm.... a good question.

Well, I draw Melkor most often, but I favor Mairon in personality. I draw them both a lot, but definitely Melkor most.

I have a lot of in-progress sketches of Eönwë, but it's more out of a fascination with wings I think.

I'm glad you enjoy my version of him. I know everyone sees these characters differently, and I don't mind people's perceptions at all. Still, it is nice to feel as though you saw something of your vision for him in my art.

I had at one point thought I would never get around to drawing more Fëanorians... but I guess here we go.

Here he is... from my hand to your eyes... you can have him... honeslty, he's been singing obnoxiously sad songs without end... someone come pick him up and take him home.

Valar at Creation

This might be the biggest digital art project I have ever attempted. It is fairly detailed but you may have to click on it.

If the characters aren’t obvious, this is all the Valar named in Tolkien’s Silmarillion and Eru Iluvatar, the One, behind them. In order from left to right are:

Melkor, Oromë, Yavanna, Vána, Aulë, Nessa, Tulkas, Ulmo, Manwë, Varda, Nienna, Vairë, Namo, Estë, and Irmo.

Forever Besties

My wonderful friend @smetakovec and I drew each other as our favorite and fitting other selves.

Our personalities and preferences match our favorite characters, and so it is fun to picture ourselves as them in another reality.

In this art collaboration I am portrayed as Mairon drawn by @smetakovec, and they are portrayed as Melkor drawn by me. It's a bit like digital cosplay.

We had so much fun making it, and I look forward to our next team effort.

This is my adjusted version. Sometimes you make a picture and then later look at it and go…. Nah… this needs re-done. But feel free to have your own opinions.

I made some adjustments due to the feedback of @toothandtale and @smetakovec who graciously helped me through the process.

#2 First Version

I certainly will always find something charming about this one, but my methods have changed and I really like the adjusted version better.
