Just a quick update on my presence on tumblr!

I think I just got the majority of this month's done and over with, so hopefully I can focus on sims-y things again. I haven't really got much time to do creative-y things much as I'd like.

So, with that said, if I follow your blog/story/etc pretty intensively, and I haven't shown any interest at all lately, just know it's not you! It's just me and trying to figure out time.

But! I am however, now the proud owner of a driving licence! And a car! :p Driving alone is such a weird experience, I still can't honestly believe it myself that I can, officially, drive places!

I've also been participating in sewing classes to get my novice skills up a bit, which has gotten me a bit more passionate about "upcycling" EA clothes too :).

Obviously there are other things happening, but let's just say, I'd love to have more hours in a day...

WCIF: RIGs with IK targets?

Before doing it myself, has anyone ever made the TS3 rigs to have IK targets? Or at least things to make it a bit easier to pose/animate?

Hi, do you think that there’s any way to make really tall windows actually work in the sims 3 like how there’s an option in the sims 4. Would that ever be possible? Specifically when we do builds that use contrainfloorelevation false to raise the wall levels much higher, the regular windows (even the windows that are made from top of wall to the bottom) still look so small when elevating the wall height. It’s so sad we cannot have bigger windows or even doors that are taller than standard wall height. So I was wondering do you think there’s any way like any way to try to mod the script/code or whatever of the standard walls tool to be able to allow larger cc windows fit taller custom heights? Thank you

Oh, hrm... So I've done something similar in a unity game before, so i'm just guessing the technique TS3 uses is the same.

I don't think it will work, unfortunately. You'd have to somehow change the code that handles the mask detection once the window hits the wall (if that makes sense), to also have the second floor detect that. That code is actually in the engine part of the game (which no one has been able to reverse engineer...)

However... if I were to tackle this, I actually would create the window in different mesh pieces. Sort of like done here: https://modthesims.info/d/477156/versailles-two-story-window-set-updated-6-11-12.html

But if anyone else has any ideas I'd love to know! @lazyduchess maybe?

I wanna support more simblr accounts despite have being retired from Sims role playing myself, especially since they're overshadowed by the Sims 4 nowadays. I have nothing against those who enjoy the Sims 4, but as a long time simmer I still wish to support other fellow simmers who are active in the same simblr as the one I grew up with. 🫶🏻

And yes, you're free to reblog this even if you're retired but still love the Sims!

WIP!

I came up with this crazy idea to give this EA dress (right), a bit of love. It's a great dress! I've used it a lot! But just like everything, it didn't really feel like it fit this day and age anymore...

Hey..i hope ur doing well i just saw that ur doing a mod for hobby and interest like s2 and i love it and its been like 3 years i think , if u can add wants and fears with hobby's and interest it will be very nice to have and if a sim call another sim in the telephone they ask if they can talk with the other sim or invite their friend over like ts2 cuz i really want them to use the telephone at home and they can sgin in online with the laptop to chat and get a messages and gifts

Still working on interests and hobbies! I just worked on it very on and off, so that's why it takes forever. But i'm almost done with the core of the mod! After that, I will release some additional mods for it!

I've pondered about a wants and fears thing, but I'll have to really dig deep into the source code of TS3 to figure out if that's really possible (otherwise I guess there are other ways of doing it, like how I did it with interests and hobbies).

Regarding the telephone mod, I don't know if right now I would be able to get to that, but if anyone wants to give it a try, here's a cool mod idea from anon! :)

Sort of! I've honestly been more focused on interests & hobbies when I have time, and some functionality things on Simblr.cc. So I haven't come around yet to do those other things.

I really wished I could clone like 4 versions of myself because all those projects are important to me, and fun :p Or live on mars! (and then having infinite money because work is also taking a lot of time off project time)

Hi, i was wondering if it would be possible to create a mod for the Sims 3 that would allow me to drive a car with a toddler and baby in a carseat, instead of having to take a taxi!

Oh hrm... If I recall correctly, it's very embedded in the routing code. Which would probably mean you'll have to start with overriding the DLL files in order to make this possible.

I've actually always avoided on doing that, so i'm not quite sure how to get on with that :(

Crisis averted! Turns out all I had to do is delete my documents folder and it's all working again! I'm guessing some caching got corrupted.

Bleh, I finally gathered motivation to load up the game after weeks, trying to shoot some new pictures for the chapter but my game keeps crashing whenever I try to pose any sims...

There goes my motivation :/

Event: Spring Event

It's time for getting ready in the garden, cuddle some cute baby animals and maybe even wearing that cute dress that's been waiting for a whole season to be worn again!

It's spring time! And that means, another event on simblr.cc! The event is from 2nd of April till 31st of May!

Posts will be released the day after (1st of June). (The sticker will come soon! I'll make sure to reblog the post with it :))
