Voice.

Moo Jin-Hyuk was a popular detective who solved major cases, but after his wife was murdered by a serial killer his life spiraled down. He is filled with guilt that he was not able to protect his wife and he secretly looks for her killer.

Meanwhile, Kang Kwon-Joo graduated at police academy with top marks. She began to work at an emergency 112 call center. Working there, a brutal murder case takes place and her father/police sergeant went to the crime scene. Her father is killed there and Kwon-Joo hears what happened over the phone. Afterwards, she goes to the U.S. to study and comes back to Korea as a professional voice profiler.

Detective Jin-Hyuk and Kang Kwon-Joo solve cases together. Chasing a serial killer responsible for the deaths of their family member. --Asian Wiki

Though there’s a lot of plotholes, and the drama is far from perfect, Voice is one of those dramas which will make you feel so HYPED! This drama was one of the first dramas I watched, and is the reason why I kept watching more dramas. With a mix of suspense, thriller, and some psychological sh!t, It will definitely not disappoint your expectations.

SIGNAL.

A walkie-talkie in the present somehow picks up signals from a detective in the past, Lee Jae Han (Jo Jin Woong). Police profiler Park Hae Young (Lee Je Hoon) finds this walkie-talkie and uses it to help solve cold cases. Detective Cha Soo Hyun (Kim Hye Soo), who was once a rookie at Lee Jae Han’s station, leads the cold-case team. Thanks to Park Hae Young (and Lee Jae Han), the team solves infamous cold cases. If you never watched this, or even thought about watching it, then you are missing half of your lives. This drama is absolutely 10/10.

Chief Kim.

Kim Seongryong works as a chief accountant for TQ Group. The longer he works there, the more he finds out about how corruptive TQ Group was. At first, he didn't care much about the company. Not until he meets his coworker, Yun Hagyeong. Because of her, he decides to help the company survive the crisis. --KBSWorld

I highly recommend this for it’s plot and comedy. It is a great light drama to watch. Plus, you should not miss the bromance and very SATISFYING ending.

Korean Drama List of Recommendations

It’s been two months when I started watching KDRAMAs. Since classes will start next week, I would like to recommend these two dramas (ongoing) which I have been addicted to for these past weeks. 

1. CIRCLE: Two Worlds Connected

What I love about this drama is the fact that it’s Science Fiction. I’ve never been interested in any science related stuff, but this one is so good that I am starting to love it! 

2. LOOKOUT

Another Crime/Detective drama that I enjoyed watching. There is a LOT of twists which makes this drama worth watching.

I have been hiding in a shell ever since forever. The result? I was never satisfied. I don’t even know what true happiness is. Hiding in other people’s shadows, doing what society thought for the good and just simply, not being able to do what I really love and stand up for the things I strongly believed in, it was tiring. So, this year. I would just step it up. Screw those people’s judgements. As long as I am able to live my life the way I wanted it to be, I will be happy. #DoWhatMakesYouHappy
